There is no way to avoid an apocalyptic war in the Middle East now. Too much has been said and done, and both sides have pushed things past the point of no return. It won’t be too long before thousands of missiles are flying back and forth, and that is going to have enormous implications for all of us. This war is going to look far different from anything we have ever seen in the Middle East before, and the level of death and destruction that we will witness will shock the entire globe. On Wednesday, two massive explosions killed more than 100 people that had gathered in the Iranian city of Kerman on the fourth anniversary of Qasem Soleimani’s death… At least 103 people were killed Wednesday and 188 injured in the Iranian city of Kerman after twin blasts near the burial site of slain military commander Qasem Soleimani, in what officials called a terror attack. The blasts, at least one of which was caused by a bomb, state TV said, came on the fourth anniversary of Soleimani’s death in a US air strike, and threatens to accelerate tensions in the region that have spiked since the start of the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza. The first explosion was 2,300 feet (700 meters) from Soleimani’s grave, and the second was 0.6 miles (1 kilometer) away as pilgrims visited the site, IRNA added. This was one of the deadliest attacks in modern Iranian history, and the Iranians are basically treating it as their own version of 9/11. I do not believe that Israel was involved in this attack, but no matter how hard you try you will never be able to convince Iran’s leaders otherwise. In the aftermath of the explosions, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei promised that there will be a “harsh response”… Harrowing video showed scores of bloodied victims lying on the floor as others stumbled away from the blast scene close to the Saheb al-Zaman Mosque where Soleimani is buried, in what Iran has described as a ‘terrorist attack’. ‘The evil and criminal enemies of the Iranian nation once again created a disaster and martyred a large number of dear people in Kerman,’ Khamenei said in a statement. ‘This disaster will have a harsh response, God willing.’ He did not name a suspect, nor has any group yet claimed responsibility for the attack. There is so much fury in Iran right now, and they will never be satisfied until they taste revenge. Of course this attack came just one day after the assassination of Hamas deputy leader Saleh al-Arouri in the heart of Beirut very close to Hezbollah headquarters. This was extremely humiliating for the leadership of Hezbollah, and on Wednesday Hassan Nasrallah ominously declared that his organization is ready for war “without restraint, without rules, without limits and without restrictions”… Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah warned Israel against waging war on Lebanon in a televised address Wednesday, a day after a strike blamed on Israel killed Hamas’s political number two, terror chief Salah al-Arouri, in a Hezbollah stronghold in the southern Beirut suburbs. “If the enemy thinks of waging a war on Lebanon, we will fight without restraint, without rules, without limits and without restrictions,” Nasrallah said in his address, which had been pre-planned to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the death of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp general Qassem Soleimani. “We are not afraid of war,” Nasrallah said, but did not issue a concrete threat. “For now,” he said, “we are fighting on the frontline following meticulous calculations.” Not too long after Nasrallah’s speech was concluded, the IDF conducted an airstrike on a residential building in Lebanon which resulted in the death of several Hezbollah fighters… Within hours after the Nasrallah speech, Israel has conducted another major airstrike on Lebanon, this time against a residential building which housed Hezbollah members. “Two security sources told the Reuters news agency that four Hezbollah members were killed in the attack on what had been described as a residential building,” Al Jazeera reports. Importantly, “It brings the number of Hezbollah members killed on Wednesday to nine” – which suggests we are witnessing a significant escalation. I don’t think that Hezbollah was actually eager to fight a full-blown war with Israel. But after everything that has happened, there is no way that one is going to be avoided now. For security purposes, Israeli politicians are absolutely determined to push Hezbollah back beyond the Litani River. And according to the agreement that ended the last war in Lebanon, that is exactly where they are supposed to be. But Hezbollah will never agree to withdraw willingly, and so a full-blown war on the northern front is coming. The Israelis would prefer to put that conflict off until operations on the southern front are finished, and this week quite a bit of progress is being made. Here is just one example… Israeli forces took control of a Hamas stronghold in Gaza City, including more than 30 buildings, underground bunkers and tunnels located near civilian homes, schools and hospitals, the Israel Defense Forces said on Tuesday. Hamas’s Eastern Military Post in Gaza City included 37 buildings featuring operational command and control rooms, the IDF said. Hamas is no match for the IDF. But Hezbollah is another matter entirely. Hezbollah has a very large army and a vast arsenal of highly sophisticated missiles that it can fire at Israeli cities. So the war on the northern front is going to look completely different from the war on the southern front. Elsewhere, western powers have issued a “final warning” to the Houthis in Yemen… The U.S., Britain and key allies issued what officials described as a final warning to the Houthi Yemeni rebel group Wednesday to cease its attacks on international shipping in the Red Sea or bear the consequences. “Ongoing Houthi attacks in the Red Sea are illegal, unacceptable, and profoundly destabilizing,” says the statement issued by more than a dozen nations. “The Houthis will bear the responsibility of the consequences should they continue to threaten lives, the global economy, and free flow of commerce in the region’s critical waterways.” The U.S. military has prepared options to strike the Iran-backed rebel group, U.S. officials say. I do not expect the Houthis to back down. And so it appears that it is likely that the U.S. military will soon be striking targets inside Yemen. In case you haven’t figured it out yet, World War III is here, and the year ahead is going to be absolutely packed with conflict. The war in the Middle East is going to be one of the biggest stories of 2024, and it is going to be absolutely horrifying. But there is no turning back now. We have been building up to this moment for decades, and soon all of the major players are going to be putting their cards on the table for everyone to see. If Only the Thousands of Hamas Sympathizers Could Have Seen What I Saw… - By Rev. As I write this, the conflict in Gaza is continuing, and the reverberations are felt across the globe. I was there just before Thanksgiving, and what I saw greatly moved and disturbed me. I visited several kibbutzim that Hamas terrorists had attacked on the morning of Oct. 7, killing men, women and children—even infants. I walked through some of the homes that had been burned and scarred with hundreds of bullets. I saw craters in the floors where the terrorists had thrown hand grenades, and shrapnel pieces embedded in the walls. It seemed like every demon in hell had been let loose. I had the privilege of meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He welcomed my prayers for God’s wisdom, guidance, and peace. I also met with a young mother whose husband was murdered by Hamas, and a wife whose husband was taken hostage. They were so traumatized. If only the thousands of Hamas sympathizers who paraded here at home and other countries could have seen what I saw, perhaps they would realize that Hamas is nothing more than evil, wicked men who are bent on killing as many Jews as they possibly can, ever seeking to eradicate the state of Israel—God’s chosen people, the only democracy in the Middle East and our closest ally. These terrorists are fueled by demonic hatred for the Jewish people. In Ukraine, the conflict continues as the so-called summer offensive failed to take back much ground. Millions are suffering mightily as a cold, long winter takes hold and critical infrastructure is targeted. Tens of thousands have died since the war began, and much of Europe still remains wary that the war will spread outside Ukraine. That would lead to a nightmare scenario. Here in the U.S., we are facing yet another election year as both parties ramp up their efforts. Crucial moral issues like abortion and the LGBTQ agenda are again front and center, with pro-abortion, anti-life forces working hard to counter the landmark Supreme Court ruling that struck down Roe v. Wade, leaving the issue to the states. Voters in Ohio, for example, recently “enshrined” abortion into their state constitution. Might I say it is a pagan shrine they have so enthusiastically embraced, upon which are sacrificed the innocents who are slaughtered in their mother’s womb. Our nation meanwhile continues to lay debt upon debt, with a deficit now approaching $35 trillion. That’s just hard to believe, and it seems Congress is now regularly faced with chaotic months and weeks trying to keep the government from shutting down. Yet despite these ever darkening and threatening clouds, I remain hopeful. Not the kind of tepid, wishy-washy hope that things might improve, but the Biblical kind of hope that is fully confident in the Lord Jesus Christ. A firm, sure, settled hope that our God is working out His plans and purposes according to His perfect will and timing. I don’t put my hope in any political party or any gathering of Congress. Only the Lord is worthy of my full hope and trust. I have hope because our God is a sovereign God. This means that He rules over every nation, every head of state, every known military power. There is no prime minister, president, parliament, congress, nation nor person over whom God does not reign. “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes”(Proverbs 21:1). One well-known Bible teacher said, “There is not one maverick molecule in the universe over which God is not sovereign.” “Our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases” (Psalm 115:3). “The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations” (Psalm 33:10-11). “It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers … He brings the princes to nothing; He makes the judges of the earth useless” (Isaiah 40:22-23). The Lord is not only the all-powerful God Almighty; He is a wise God. Everything He does, He accomplishes in perfect wisdom, though we may not understand it for now. His plans are expertly and perfectly crafted in divine omniscience. No military, political or financial strategy can even begin to outwit Him. No scheme of man or demons can touch His supreme wisdom. All the wisdom of the world put together is but a grain of sand compared to God’s infinite wisdom. “To God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever” (Romans 16:27). “O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all” (Psalm 104:24). “In [Christ] are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3). The Lord is not only all powerful and all wise, but He is also all loving. For His children, all that He does—even hard discipline—flows from His love for us. He saved us because of His great love (Ephesians 2:4), He sent His Son to die for our sins that we might receive eternal life because He so loved the world (John 3:16), and we can count on the fact that He works everything together for good—all the circumstances of our life—for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). One of the most oft repeated refrains in Scripture is in the 136th Psalm: “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever” (Psalm 136:1). Nothing, absolutely nothing—no war, no wicked rulers, no failed government, no death, no disease, no demonic power, no created thing—can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. So as the New Year is upon us, I am completely confident that our powerful, wise and loving God will work all things together for the good of His children, even those things which are evil and not good. I am hopeful that as we preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ through the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, He will bring thousands to repentance and saving faith—people who will receive the marvelous, unsurpassed gift of eternal life. In this world, in this coming year, we will all face various trials and challenges. It won’t be easy. Life never is. The world may seem like it is unraveling before our eyes. By my calculations, there are anywhere from 1.5 million to 5 million foreign soldiers already inside the U.S. awaiting orders. My math is based on the government’s own statistics for illegals entering the U.S. over the last three years and then I estimated how many were military-age males using very conservative numbers on the low end and moderately conservative numbers on the top end. The most conservative number, 1.5 million, assumes that no foreign agents of military age were already here prior to January 2021, which of course we know cannot be the case but I wanted to demonstrate just how conservative these numbers are. Even if we go with the ultra-conservative figure of a 1.5 million-man army now assembled inside the United States, that is formidable by anyone’s standards. Now, what if all those weapons purchased by U.S. federal government agencies were accumulated for the purpose of arming this assembled army? Think about that. Everyone wondered why federal agencies with no law enforcement role, like the Small Business Administration, Department of Agriculture and Health and Human Services, were buying up guns and ammo under Obama’s administration and now again under Biden’s regime. This unprecedented militarization of the federal government did not even stop under Trump, it just slowed down. I am not here to tell you why those agencies have felt the need to arm up, but I can tell you that the reason cannot be good. One plausible explanation would be that they will use these stockpiles to supply one side in a coming civil war that has probably been planned for a long time. 2023 was also the year they told us their plans in the wide open (“they” being the billionaires and multi-millionaires associated with the globalist World Economic Forum and its United Nations-allied, Vatican-allied agenda which they hope to have completely implemented by 2030). They want a completely digital economy with digital IDs for everyone and no more cash, only digital tokens, meaning no more privacy or freedom for anyone. They will know everywhere you go, everything you buy, everyone you associate with, and they will use that information to either reward or punish you based on your carbon footprint. Combining the dual tracking tools of digital ID with digital currency, the powers that be will finally have a fool-proof method of tracking, monitoring and assigning social credit scores to every human being who walks the earth. The digital money and digital IDs will link up with the embedded (and internet-connected) Smart-City technology being installed in nearly every city throughout the world. This technology is being installed by government contractors right under the noses of fully ignorant residents in cities of all sizes – it’s for our safety, they tell us. In reality, they are hoping to build a population of cyborgs. The globalists also told us repeatedly in 2023 that we, as human beings, are no longer needed. They have AI now and are fully capable of handling most of the tasks that corporations and governments have in the past paid human beings to perform. I presume that means they will start doing away with the most unneeded among us in 2024. There are too many useless people, says Yuval Harari, one of Klaus Schwab’s chief lieutenants at the WEF. Also in 2023, they opened the gates of World War III by provoking Russia and trying to back that country’s leader into a dangerous corner. In the process of trying to achieve a regime change in Russia, they practically emptied out the munition’s arsenals of the entire West, sending endless supplies of 155mm shells, Patriot missiles, ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles, drones and other key weapons to Ukraine and Israel. These stockpiles will take years to replenish and nobody’s really talking about it. With that background, here are a few of my predictions for 2024 (some are more like trends than predictions): 1. The continued war on free speech and First Amendment. The United Nations Education Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) announced on November 6, 2023, that a global plan to silence free speech on the Internet was in play. Correct me if I’m wrong but I didn’t hear anyone in the U.S. administration of Joe Biden reject the UNESCO statement or that the U.S., that bastion of “democracy,” would choose not to participate. 2. The continued war on the Second Amendment. This is so obviously already underway that it requires no explanation. The latest scheme by the Biden regime is to use federal tax dollars to pay the states to implement the gun-control laws that it has been unable to pass. The only question is, will Americans succumb like the folks in Australia and New Zealand did and give up their guns? 3. Continued global war on food and fiat currencies. The death of the U.S. dollar will lead to a death of brick-and-mortar retail, and shortages of many common items as the supply chain continues to erode and the economy slowly melts down. As all of those U.S. dollars once used by foreign nations to purchase products in international trade come flooding back home to the U.S., we are looking at the prospect of rampant inflation, especially for anything fuel or food related. Before they can fully implement the central bank digital currencies, they must utterly make worthless the paper fiat currencies, and 2024 will be the year they do that. 4. MAJOR cyberattacks will target banking and financial sectors, communications and possibly even shut down large portions of the electric power grid, causing widespread panic and unrest. This will be done either by the U.S. government or by a foreign power with the knowledge of the U.S. government. The idea is to blame the misery on a foreign boogey man like Russia or China, most likely Russia, which is always the boogey man of choice for the U.S. government. This will allow the U.S. government to fuel anti-Russian hatred, appeal to Americans’ sense of patriotism, and implement a military draft as it prepares for all-out war with Russia-China in 2025. 5. Lawlessness and civil unrest will continue to increase heading up to the November 5, 2024 election and beyond. The prospect of civil war (followed by World War III in 2025?) is now highly likely. I would estimate the threat of civil war breaking out in 2024 at greater than 50-50 for reasons I have explained in previous articles. 6. Construction of a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border finally commences in 2024, but not for the reason most Americans think. The wall will be built not to keep foreigners out but to keep Americans in. The globalists have already assembled a foreign army of sleeper cells inside the U.S. How many more troops will they need? Not too many more, in my opinion. Near the end of 2024 don’t be surprised if you see construction started on a wall. Every effective dictatorship needs a wall to keep its citizens in check and, as I’ve explained previously, the U.S. is no longer a constitutional republic. Why would we expect it to suddenly start acting like one again? 7. There are two potential scenarios surrounding Donald J. Trump. Under Scenario A, Trump gets elected in a landslide but is never allowed to see the inside of the White House. The regime in Washington calls out BLM and antifa to set fire to the streets in “mostly peaceful” protests, then declares martial law and accuses Trump of being an enemy of the state who was elected under false pretenses. MAGA people are rounded up and placed in camps. They put out a warrant for Trump’s arrest or maybe have him assassinated by one of their patsies. Under Scenario B, Trump loses to Biden or whoever runs on the Democrat ticket because Colorado, Maine and several other states are trying to remove him from the ballot or maybe they keep him on the ballot but stuff ballot boxes with fake votes. EITHER SCENARIO, A or B, will serve to jumpstart the Second American Civil War so coveted by the billionaire globalist elites. 8. Continued apostasy of the church in fulfillment of 2 Thessalonians 2:3 and increasing persecution of the true Church. The pope and his equivalents in the Protestant world will continue to usher in false doctrines and statements meant to confuse, divide, demoralize and destroy the church. If possible, even the elect will be deceived. “Forbidden blessings,” aka demonic blessings for forbidden relationships, will bring great reproach to the name of Jesus Christ, which is what Bergoglio and others have been doing already for several years. They are sowing division and confusion among the flock in the Catholic Church, and likewise in the Protestant Church. Like in China, most of the true believers will break away into home churches. 9. Continued ramping up of the government-corporate propaganda campaign to push fear of viruses and sickness. This is all geared toward the purposeful effort to inject human beings with more mRNA “vaccines.” All vaccines will become mRNA. Once man discovered he can hack into and change human genetics, it opened up a whole new playing field for Satan to continue his thousands of years’ effort to destroy the seed of Adam. Satan knows his ultimate destination is the Lake of Fire and he’s hoping to take as many humans there with him. If he can change the genetic makeup to the extent that it destroys the human ability to connect with his/her Creator and exercise free will, that would be counted among his greatest achievements. I don’t think it will happen. Already, vast numbers of people have awakened to the fact that this new generation of vaccines are causing more death and physical harm than they are preventing. The latest government data shows only 7 percent of U.S. adults have taken the government-biopharma-security state’s latest Covid “booster.” This infuriates the globalist elites at the head of the government-biopharma-security complex. When these elites get angry, they get even more dangerous. The last thing they expected was for the sheep to wake up to the fact that they are being led to the slaughter. 10. Israel and its Muslim enemies will ramp up their war in the Middle East. I don’t pretend to know how this will play out. I do know that the U.S. will at some point abandon Israel and maybe that will be the best thing that ever happened to Israel, as it will finally be freed up to fight without one hand tied behind its back. If that happens, Israel will also be forced to cry out to God for its help, rather than dial up a fickle U.S. president who’s trying to play both sides of the conflict. On paper, Israel will have no chance of winning this war without U.S. and Western help. Victory will only come if Israel experiences divine intervention on its behalf. Unlike so many in the evangelical world, I do not presume to know how this grand confrontation will play out. In the meantime, it will always be my position that Israel has a right to defend itself without intervention from the U.N., the U.S., the E.U., Russia, China or anyone else. Period. I will add one caveat: If the recent reports are true that the IDF deliberately targeted a Christian church in Gaza with a sniper attack that killed a woman and her daughter, then Christians must not remain silent about that simply because they support Israel’s right to defend itself. War is hell, and civilians will always suffer the most in any war, but there is no defense strategy that is furthered by shooting Christians inside churches. Unlike the Muslim mosques, Christian churches do not multi-task as weapons storehouses. That being said, there’s a good chance that the ladies were killed accidentally by the Israelis or intentionally by Hamas, who then blamed it on the Israelis as part or their propaganda campaign. Hopefully the truth will prevail. We must pray for peace and against the globalist warmongers, while at the same time preparing ourselves for war physically, mentally and spiritually. I believe God will preserve a remnant even within a collapsed empire that has made a point of casting Him out of its society, culture and even most of its churches. John 5:24. Here it is, a brand-new year. What will you do with it? What will the new year bring? It’s always good to take a look at your life and see what you might need to work on for the coming year. Do you lose your temper too often, or have you stopped studying God’s word? All of us have something to “fix”. We can’t change other people, but we can pray for them, and we can prayerfully work on ourselves. Christians need to draw nearer to God. None of us have any idea what the new year will bring, but we need to be prepared for whatever comes our way. This could be the year that Jesus calls us Home in the Rapture. Wouldn’t that be wonderful? I think so. How can we prepare for that? That’s an easy question with a difficult answer. We can’t actually prepare. It won’t matter if you believe the truth of the pre-trib rapture in order to be taken Home when it happens. What will matter is your faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Scripture is clear that our faith is what brings salvation. When Nicodemus came to Jesus with questions about eternal life, Jesus told him he had to be born again. “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3. Born again. Now there’s a phrase people like to throw around and use it to judge another person’s salvation. Notice that Jesus didn’t add any requirements to salvation – no works or rituals. It’s true that faith in Jesus should change our way of life, but it’s our faith that brings salvation. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9. Too often a “seasoned” Christian will look at a new and/or struggling Christian with contempt because the one struggling isn’t living up to the expectations of the “seasoned” Christian. No wonder numbers are lowering for church attendance. That’s no reason for sermons to be watered down so as not to upset anybody, but if there’s someone in the congregation who is struggling with sin, they need to be helped out of that sin instead of being condemned. Maybe this is the year you need to truly take steps to admit you’re a sinner in need of God’s grace and forgiveness. Let Him help you to overcome any sin that’s crippling your walk with our Lord. We all have struggles with sin. Even more seasoned Christians aren’t perfect and need to draw closer to Jesus. Being judgmental and condemning is a sin. “Judge not, and ye shall not be judged; condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and, ye shall be forgiven.” Luke 6:37. This doesn’t mean we are to condone every lifestyle and sin, but it’s not up to us to point fingers and make sure everyone knows about another person’s sin. “Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.” Matthew 7:5. It’s God who has the right to judge, and He knows if you or anyone else has truly come to salvation through Christ. We all face an ongoing struggle against sin. Sometimes it gets easier, but it takes prayer and seeking God to overcome sin. When we come to Christ, we are a new creation in Christ. “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.” Romans 6:6. God sees us through the blood of Christ, and we need to honor Him by living life to please Him. We are like newborn babies and need to grow in our faith. We can’t stay babes forever. Maybe this is the year you totally surrender your will to His. Maybe this is the year you see the sin in your life and go to Scripture to find help to overcome it, rather than pointing fingers at the sin of others. Sometimes what people see as sin, really isn’t anything against God’s laws. I heard someone say they sinned by eating bacon and they knew eating pork is a sin. Really? Unless you’re Jewish, there’s no problem eating pork. Do you drink a glass of wine now and then? Are you condemned for that? Maybe your denomination says you’re condemned, but God only says drunkenness is a sin. Jesus turned water into wine, and if wine was a sin, He couldn’t have done that. The holier-than-thou religious leaders of the day tried to condemn Him for drinking wine. “The Son of man is come eating and drinking, and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!” Luke 7:34. This is a classic case of judging someone but doing what you condemn them for. The Pharisees drank wine as part of obeying God’s directions for the Feasts. That doesn’t condone drunkenness. Faith in Christ brings forgiveness of any sin you might have committed, or will commit. That forgiveness doesn’t make it okay to continue in sin. The lifestyle we live as Christians is important. Today, many congregations accept sexual sin as an acceptable way of life. God isn’t pleased with openly embracing sin. You might want to study Scripture to understand God’s feeling on any sexual activity outside of a one man/one woman marriage. A woman who was an adulterer was brought before the Lord for Him to condemn her. Under the Law, she was to be stoned to death, but she found forgiveness in Jesus. He didn’t tell her to keep living the way she was living. When He asked her where her accusers were “She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go and sin no more.” John 8:11. Jesus forgave her, but she couldn’t continue in her sin. We also need to look at what was going on in Sodom and Gomorrah that caused God to totally destroy them. “But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.” Genesis 13;13. When God finally had no choice but to destroy those cities, two angels were sent to rescue Abraham’s nephew, Lot, before the judgment came. The men of Sodom lusted after the angels. “And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? Bring them out unto us, that we may know them.” Genesis 19:5. Lot had to be taken away from Sodom prior to God’s judgment. In fact, this is a “picture” of the rapture, and Jesus said it would be as it was in the Days of Lot prior to the Tribulation. Homosexual behavior will be everywhere, but the righteous will be removed prior to the judgment of God. Christians are only righteous because of faith in Christ. We can see many signs that the Rapture is close. There are many, many signs that it will happen soon. Will it be this year? It very well could be. Anybody who watches prophecy closely is watching the events of the world unfold, and it’s exciting to think we could be the ones changed from mortal to immortal in the twinkling of an eye. The war in Israel is so sad, and I urge everybody to pray for the Jewish people. The temple is ready to be built, and it has to be in place for the Anti-Christ to set up his reign of terror there. In recent years, we’ve been conditioned to accept the Mark of the Beast, and the economy of individual nations is soon to be put under one economic system. The New World Order is being set in place and will be under the rule of the Anti-Christ. All nations will turn against Israel, and if you pay attention to the antics of the United Nations, you’ll know that the evil of the Muslim world is condoned by the UN, but Israel is condemned for defending their right to exist. All of this is telling us that the Rapture is going to happen soon. Will the new year bring the Rapture? If so, what will you be doing? Maybe you’ll be sharing the Gospel with a friend, or maybe you’ll be singing hymns and praises to our Lord. Hopefully, you won’t be embracing sin as if it’s fine with God. Remember, God gave His only begotten Son as the only way that we can be saved. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:16-18. This is not a political statement. It is historic record. They did so under the auspices of Jim Crow laws which allowed arresting blacks for the smallest of crimes to be incarcerated to hard labor, never to be allowed to vote, thus using the courts to perpetuate a form of slavery. These laws began to be deconstructed with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, although Democrats opposed these reforms at all levels of government well into the 1970s. Now the Democrats have ripped a page from this playbook and are applying it across all races based on political belief. On December 29th’s Newsmax TV’s “The Record,” Harvard Law Professor and Newsmax Legal Analyst Alan Dershowitz stated that only Congress, not the states, can decide whether a presidential candidate is eligible under the 14th Amendment. He said the framers of the 14th Amendment would not have placed the legal power of deciding who could be on the presidential ballot to former Confederate states, and instead vested that power in Congress. He said, “The 14th Amendment provides in Section 5 that Congress, not the states, Congress can enforce this provision.” Dershowitz said that Republican reconstructionists wrote the 14th Amendment and purposely gave the power to Congress. Dershowitz said, “They would never have left the decision [on] who can run for president to South Carolina, Virginia, Mississippi, and Alabama, members of the Confederacy. Of course, they left it only to Congress. The idea that states, one at a time, can decide who’s disqualified is the most absurd reading of a constitutional provision I have ever seen. The idea that a secretary of state, whether appointed, anointed, or elected, a secretary of state can decide who the next president’s going to be, what could be more undemocratic than that? That’s what Putin would do. That’s what Stalin did. That’s what the heads of banana republics in South America did. That’s what China, that’s what Iran does.” What Dercshowitz could have said is “That’s what the Democratic Party does.” They’ve been doing it for over a century and pointing the finger at everyone else, especially Republicans. They keep claiming that Republicans are the ones who want to suppress the vote. But, in reality, the Democrats are weaponizing the court system, just like they did during the Jim Crow era, to prevent people from voting for someone they don’t want in office. This time, however, it’s not targeting a race, but rather an entire political belief aimed at anyone who is not a Democrat. They had refused the food and wine from King Nebuchadnezzar’s table and had chosen water and vegetables instead. But it wasn’t just a matter of the food. And it wasn’t because they liked only vegetables and water. Rather, they were taking a stand on principle. The real temptation was this: eating the king’s food was the way to climb the corporate ladder in Babylon. It was like refusing the boss’s invitation to lunch. Why would they say no? For whatever reason, they did. It was important enough for them to take a stand on the matter. They wouldn’t make this compromise. And by doing so, they didn’t advance as quickly as they could have. In the same way, we can struggle with the temptation to compromise. It might be the temptation to lie on a résumé to get a job or the temptation to embellish ourselves so that people will like us more. Or, it might be the temptation to cut corners on a job to make more money, even though it’s unsafe. It could be the temptation to go a little further with a girlfriend or boyfriend in the hope of gaining their love. We all face the temptation to compromise. However, it’s the little things that ultimately lead to the big things. It’s the gray areas that ultimately lead to the black-and-white areas. That’s why we must look at things carefully and ask, “Is this a good or a bad thing for me? Is this a compromise before the Lord?” When we come to those gray areas of life and wonder whether something is acceptable to God, it’s a good idea to ask ourselves four questions: (1) Does it build me up spiritually? (2) Does it bring me under its power? (3) Do I have an uneasy conscience about it? (4) Could it cause someone to stumble? Here’s the wrong question to ask: Can I do this and still be a Christian? The Bible says, “Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body” (1 Corinthians 6:19–20 NLT). Character is not made in a crisis; it is only exhibited. It may be manifested in the great moments, but it is made in the small ones. Do you have that character? Or, are you compromising in your life as a Christian? Are you doing what is right, even in the little things? Because if you don’t deal with compromise in the little things, it will lead to the big things. That’s why it’s a good time at the beginning of the year to have some resolution—not a bunch of silly resolutions that you make and can’t keep. Resolution is purpose, commitment, and dedication to doing the right thing. Because if you compromise now, you will regret it later.
