The Coming of the Son of Man – Pete Garcia - https://www.rev310.net/post/the-coming-of-the-son-of-man
The Olivet discourse or prophecy is the last of the five discourses of Matthew and is also found in the other two synoptic gospels of Mark (chapter 13) and Luke (chapter 21 and 17). The timing of this discourse between Jesus and some of his disciples occurs just before the “passion of Christ’s” beginning. Before we examine the contents of this prophecy from Jesus, let’s first examine the events that take place immediately beforehand. THE DAYS BEFORE THE OLIVET DISCOURSE The year was AD 33 in the Jewish first month of Nisan. As Jesus and his 12 disciples were traveling to Jerusalem for the upcoming Passover Feast (possibly the fourth one he attended during his three-year ministry), he took them aside and predicted his death and resurrection. This was the third time he had done so. They say the third time is a charm. In this case, I’m not so sure, as the disciples still did not understand fully what all this entailed. Previous to this, Jesus had been teaching on the Kingdom of God, by way of the parable of the workers in the vineyard (Matthew 20:1-16). Jesus ended this parable with a great truth regarding His Kingdom to come: “The last will be first, and the first last. For many are called but few are chosen” (Matthew 20:16). A little while later, Jesus reiterated this thought to John and James and their mother, after she had asked Jesus if her sons could sit at the right and left hand of Jesus in His Kingdom. Jesus called his disciples together and said, “Whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave, just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:26-28). Four days before the Passover, on Nisan 10, AD 33, Jesus made his triumphal entry into Jerusalem and presented himself to the Jews as their king. This was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet Zechariah, “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold your king is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey” (Zechariah 9:9). There was a great multitude in Jerusalem at this time for it was a few days before Passover. Initially, the Jewish people accepted him as a king (a son of David), as some of them spread their clothes on the road, and others cut down palm branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The multitudes cried out; saying: Hosanna (an exclamation of joy, praise) to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest” (Matthew 21:9). This event later became known as “Palm Sunday.” Nisan 10 is also the day that the sacrificial lambs (without blemish) were to be selected by all the households of Israel. They were to keep the lambs until the 14th of the month when, at twilight, they would then be killed and eaten. This is known as the Lord’s Passover and is a Jewish tradition dating back to its origin during the time of Moses and the Exodus, as described in Exodus 12:1-28. Upon entering Jerusalem, the first thing Jesus did was to enter the temple and cleanse it, as he drove out the merchants who sold doves and other small sacrificial animals and overturned the tables of the money changers. He then healed the blind and lame and all who came to him in the temple. Even after seeing these miracles, the chief priests and scribes' only comments were to ask Jesus to condemn the masses for their previous praises of “Hosanna to the Son of David.” The religious leaders and rulers of Judea did not recognize Jesus’ authority as king or Messiah. The people would later bow to political pressure from these religious elites and desert him in just a few days. He would be killed on the day of the Passover Feast on Nisan 14, AD 33. The next morning, on the way back to Jerusalem from Bethany, where they had spent the night, Jesus and the disciples passed a fig tree by the road. The scriptures say Jesus was hungry, but there was no fruit on the tree, only leaves; so he said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately, the fig tree withered away. (Matthew 21:18-19). Most Bible teachers believe this is a prophecy regarding Israel and their lack of faith (fruit) in Jesus as the Messiah. Jesus’ next parable teaching on the Kingdom was regarding the wicked vinedressers and their killing of the landowner's servants and son. Jesus said to his disciples, “Have you never read the scriptures?” The stone (Jesus) which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes. Therefore I say to you, the Kingdom of God will be taken from you (Israel) and given to a nation (Christians from every nation) bearing the fruits of it.” (Matthew 21:42-43). The scriptures Jesus was referring to are found in Psalm 118:22-23 and Isaiah 28:16. Jesus then describes what will happen to those who try to impede the Kingdom of God, “Whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder” (Matthew 21:44). Daniel talked about this same stone (Jesus and His Kingdom) in his prophecy/s of Daniel 2:34-35, 44-45. In Matthew 22, Jesus teaches about the Kingdom of God again, as it is his favorite topic during his last days before his crucifixion. This time the Kingdom of heaven is compared to a wedding feast, where a certain King (God the Father) arranged a marriage for his son (Jesus) and sent out his servants (prophets and disciples) to call those who were invited to the wedding (Jews) but they were not willing to come (Matthew 22:2-3). The invitation (for salvation through faith in Jesus) eventually was sent into the ‘highways' and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good (Gentiles). In this parable, Jesus is the bridegroom and the church is the bride. Notice he is teaching on a subject, by way of a parable, that is still in the future. The Lord is teaching in an ambiguous way because he did not want to reveal all the details of these future events at this time. Eventually, the disciples would understand Jesus’ parable after the Holy Spirit was given. In Matthew 23:1-36, Jesus pronounces 7 woes (8 in some translations, such as King James) or exclamations of griefs, to the scribes and Pharisees for their religious hypocrisy and apostasy. In verses 37-39, Jesus predicts and laments over the coming destruction of Jerusalem. He ends with this prophecy: “Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till I say, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” (Matthew 23:39. THE OLIVET DISCOURSE A few days before the Passover (and Jesus’ death), the disciples were commenting on the beauty of the temple. Jesus reminded them of their earlier conversation and said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down” (Matthew 24:2). Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives when this conversation developed, so Peter, James, John, and Andrew (according to Mark 13:3) naturally wanted to know the details of this great revelation from Jesus. This discussion that ensued is known as the Olivet discourse. The disciples asked him three questions pertaining to this future event and the end times, including his coming to set up His Kingdom, which he had been teaching them about with such frequency doing the last few days. The three questions, in order, were 1) When will these things be (destruction of the temple)? 2) What will be the sign of Your coming? The disciples had been made aware of Jesus’ prophecies concerning his death and resurrection, so they were asking him when he would return (after his death) to set up His Kingdom. 3) What will be the sign of the end of the age. The disciples were true Jews, as they proved the point Jesus made in John 4:48, when he said, “Unless you people (Jews) see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.” Paul would later echo Jesus’ words when he said “for Jews require a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:22). Jesus did not answer the first question in the accounts of Matthew and Mark, but he did in Luke 21:20-24, although he did not mention a specific time or date. In hindsight, we know it occurred 36 years later (ironically, or not, about the age of Jesus upon his death) in AD 70. Jesus answered the disciple's questions out of order. He answered the third question first (what shall be the sign/s of the end of the world?). THE SIX SIGNS IN THE OLIVET DISCOURSE There are six sure signs Jesus gave regarding the beginning of the “end of the age/world” before the Kingdom of God is established. These signs are slightly different in all three gospel accounts, so I have consolidated them here.
Matthew and Mark describe these signs as “birth pains” in some translations, for they will get stronger and more frequent as time progresses. The birth pains culminate during the last 7 years on earth before Jesus’ Second Coming, known as Daniel's 70th week or the Tribulation, and is recorded in the book of Revelation, written by John the apostle. THE TRIBULATION IN THE BOOK OF REVELATION - THE CULMINATION OF THE OLIVET SIGNS
In the Olivet discourse of Matthew 24, Jesus speaks of these signs in verses 4-31, thus answering their question (what shall be the sign/s of the end of the age?). These are all signs that the end of the world (as we know it) is near, and Jesus will be returning to the earth soon. SIGNS, TRIBULATION, AND THE SECOND COMING Let’s dissect Matthew 24 further. Verses 4-8 are describing the signs immediately preceding Daniel’s 70th Week and will culminate in the Tribulation as outlined above. Verses 9-26 include the entire 7 year Tribulation…start, middle, and end. Verses 27-31 describe the Second Coming, where there will be more signs in the heavens. “Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect, from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other” (Matthew 24:30-31). John F. Walvoord, the learned theologian, wrote in his book, Every Prophecy of the Bible, that the ‘elect’ in this verse refers to more than the elect still living on earth. It will include all the elect, or the saved, including Old Testament saints, saved Israel, the Church, and the saints of the tribulation period leading up to the second coming. However, Revelation 19:14 says that the armies of heaven (including the Church saints) will follow Jesus back to the earth during the Second Coming riding on white horses. THE FIG TREE Verses 32-35 explain which generation would see the Day of the Lord. Here Jesus is again talking about the fig tree as he did earlier in Matthew 21:18-19. I don’t think this is a coincidence. This time instead of cursing the fig tree, he tells the disciple to learn this ‘parable’ from the fig tree. “When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these thing, know that it is near – at the doors! Assuredly I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place” (Matthew 24:32-34). A parable is a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson, so I don’t think Jesus was just referring to a fig tree that blooms in late spring. I believe this is a typology of the modern nation of Israel and the generation that was born when Israel became a nation (or in her youth) will not pass away until all the events of Matthew 24 are accomplished. In part II we will look at the coming of the Son of Man. Randy Nettles [email protected] Jerusalem Consulate: A Nail in the Coffin of Peace - by Richard Kemp - https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/17872/us-consulate-jerusalem Only a few months ago, US President Joe Biden betrayed a US ally by withdrawing forces from Afghanistan, bringing down the government in Kabul and consigning the country to the bitter depredations of Taliban terrorists. Now he is winding up to betray another, much closer ally — Israel. Biden plans to open a consulate in Jerusalem. This may seem like just another diplomatic facility to issue visas, promote trade and take care of US citizens, with no greater consequence than the US consulate in Edinburgh, UK. But it is far more than a mere office for paper-shuffling diplomats. It amounts to a de facto US embassy to the Palestinians on Israeli territory. Its true purpose is to undermine Israeli sovereignty in its own capital city and will jeopardise future prospects for peace between Israel and Palestinian Arabs. The Palestinian Authority (PA) Prime Minister, Mohammad Shtayyeh, understands the implications only too well. In a recent interview, he triumphantly predicted that the new consulate would re-divide Jerusalem. After the US moved its embassy from Tel Aviv to Israel's capital in 2018, it subsumed the existing consulate in the city to form a single diplomatic mission. This was achieved under the administration of President Donald J. Trump and that, together with a profound misunderstanding of the dynamics of peace, explains Biden's determination to re-open the consulate. He has devoted much of his presidency so far to undoing everything he could of Trump's work, with the exception of the Afghanistan debacle, over which he uniquely claims to have been bound by Trump's previous plans. The new consulate, exclusively to manage diplomatic relations with Palestinians, is designed to give hope that one day Jerusalem will be the capital of a putative Palestinian state. Israel can and rightly should never allow that. As well as betraying Israel, Biden's irresponsible diplomatic signalling — which also appeases his hard-left supporters — is a betrayal of the Palestinian people. They have suffered too long and too hard under the hostility of their leadership, which has consistently refused to entertain all proposals for peace with Israel that could lead to the establishment of their own state. Successive Palestinian leaders have been encouraged in their intransigence by the US and Europe, who have for decades extracted concession after concession from Israel while Palestinians make none. The impossible aspirations of the PA leadership — who intend to see not a two-state solution but the destruction of the Jewish state — were dealt a severe blow by the 2020 Abraham Accords between Israel and several Arab nations, and by the US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital in 2017 with the opening of an embassy there the following year. These moves, made without pandering to the PA, and in the face of their implacable rejection, were never going to lead immediately to a change of heart by the Palestinians. But they represented a reaffirmation of the historic truth of the Jewish people's deep-rooted connection to the land of Israel, including Jerusalem, for over 3,500 years and created a historic paradigm shift in the region. The US and Arab states signalled the end of a long-standing indulgence of the PA's recalcitrance at the expense of their own people. The Palestinians would no longer have a veto over facilitating peace in the Middle East. This added a political pressure that holds out the best possible hope for an eventual rapprochement after decades of repeated failure from appeasing peace-processors. Biden's administration has seriously damaged that prospect already. It has wilfully neglected the Abraham Accords, failing to encourage further Arab governments to normalise relations with Israel. The Accords were only achieved by strong American backing for each of the parties involved, offering economic, political or security benefits. Even if Biden was willing to pursue this policy (another of the hated Trump's) his far-reaching betrayal of Afghanistan has critically devalued US currency as a reliable ally and thus American influence in the Middle East -- adding to the damage inflicted by weakness and appeasement towards the Iranian regime. The intended consulate in Israel's capital will hammer yet another nail into the coffin of peace. It will motivate PA leaders to double down on their hostility towards Israel, inspiring further violence against Israelis as well as inciting Jew-hate around the world by lying condemnation and misrepresentation of Israel's necessary defensive responses. It will also encourage greater support for Hamas, the terrorist group that rules Gaza and is even more overtly opposed to Israel's existence, with Palestinians seeing their violent policies to have renewed potential for victory over the Jews. All of this sounds like an unrealistically severe impact for the opening of a diplomatic office. In the context of the Middle East, where such craven submissiveness, especially by a superpower, means so much, it is not. The PA have demanded the closure of the US Embassy in Jerusalem since it opened. But the PA Prime Minister conceded in February that the establishment of a US consulate would be an adequate substitute, saying that it "sends a [clear] political message." He understands what the US administration intends, that a consulate to the Palestinians in Jerusalem is tantamount to reversal of US recognition of Israel's sovereignty over the city. That this is not mere bureaucratic reshuffling can also be understood from the Biden administration's determination to do it in the face of Israeli government opposition and despite it potentially breaching Israel's Basic Law, US law and the 1963 Vienna Convention, which does not allow a consulate to be opened without host nation consent. The Israeli Justice Minister, Gideon Sa'ar, made it clear a few days ago that this would not be forthcoming. Some predict that Biden's consulate plan could even bring down the Bennett government. Foreign Minister Yair Lapid himself warned in September that it would destabilise his fragile coalition. In addition, opening a consulate in the same city as an existing embassy — an unprecedented move — reinforces its immense political significance. Especially as there is no practical purpose for the new facility, with the embassy already incorporating a department devoted exclusively to Palestinian affairs. If an independent consulate were really needed for the Palestinians it would make sense to put it in Ramallah, where virtually all PA government buildings are located. Robert Gates, Obama's former Defense Secretary, memorably said that Biden has "been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades". Following his validation in Afghanistan of this damning indictment, Biden now has a chance to at last get something right by abandoning his plan to undermine a close ally, reduce the prospects of peace and sentence the Palestinian people to more decades of suffering. The CEO Of Blackstone Is Warning That “A Real Shortage Of Energy” Will Cause Social Unrest All Over The Planet - by Michael Snyder - http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/the-ceo-of-blackstone-is-warning-that-a-real-shortage-of-energy-will-cause-social-unrest-all-over-the-planet/ We are facing an unprecedented global energy crunch. Demand for energy is continually rising, and the production of energy is not keeping pace. One of the biggest reasons for this is that large financial institutions have become extremely hesitant to fund any new energy projects that will add more carbon emissions to the environment. Instead, they want to fund projects that will help us transition to the new “green economy”, but meanwhile we are getting to a point where we will soon see widespread shortages of traditional forms of energy. So now we all get to suffer. A lack of oil is pushing the price of gasoline to alarming heights, shortages of natural gas are already causing tremendous disruptions in Asia and Europe, we are being told that we are facing a propane “armageddon” this winter, and supplies of coal have dropped to dangerously low levels around the world. In other words, we are potentially heading into the most painful global energy crisis in modern history. When CNN asked Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman about this, he openly admitted that we are “going to end up with a real shortage of energy”… Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman warned Tuesday that high energy prices will likely set off social unrest around the world. “We’re going to end up with a real shortage of energy. And when you have a shortage, it’s going to cost more. And it’s probably going to cost a lot more,” the private-equity billionaire told CNN International’s Richard Quest at a conference in Saudi Arabia. When the power goes out, people are not going to be happy. And people are really not going to be happy if it goes out for an extended period of time. According to Schwarzman, we will soon see “very unhappy people” all over the globe… “You’re going to get very unhappy people around the world in the emerging markets in particular but in the developed world,” Schwarzman said at the Future Investment Initiative. “What happens then, Richard, is you’ve got real unrest. This challenges the political system and it’s all utterly unnecessary.” Sadly, he is right that this global energy crisis did not have to happen. If the global elite had continued to fund traditional energy projects at the pace that was needed, we could have avoided this nightmare to a very large degree. But traditional forms of energy are now being shunned, and billions of people will suffer as a result. Meanwhile, prices throughout our economic system continue to rise at a very alarming pace. Just check out what has been happening to the price of turkey… The U.S. Department of Agriculture, for example, released data recently showing the average wholesale price of Grade A frozen 8- to 16-pound turkey has spiked by 21.91% since last year. That means what cost $1.15 per pound a year ago will now ring at at $1.41. And just for context, the same would have cost 96 cents in 2019 and 84 cents in 2018. If math isn’t your thing, that’s a 68% wholesale price increase in just two years. Overall, we are being told that this upcoming Thanksgiving will be the most expensive Thanksgiving that any of us have ever experienced… Matthew McClure paid 20% more this month than he did last year for the 25 pasture-raised turkeys he plans to roast at the Hive, the Bentonville, Arkansas, restaurant where he is the executive chef. And Norman Brown, director of sweet-potato sales for Wada Farms in Raleigh, North Carolina, is paying truckers nearly twice as much as usual to haul the crop to other parts of the country. “I never seen anything like it, and I’ve been running sweet potatoes for 38 or 39 years,” Brown said. “I don’t know what the answer is, but in the end it’s all going to get passed on to the consumer.” Unfortunately, more price hikes are on the horizon. In fact, Kimberly-Clark is opening warning that they are going to be boosting prices even higher… Prices of toilet paper, diapers, facial tissues and paper towels will likely rise in coming weeks as Irving-based consumer giant Kimberly-Clark warned Monday that inflation and supply chain concerns aren’t “likely to be resolved quickly.” So I would stock up on paper products while you still can. In case you haven’t figured it out yet, inflation is eventually going to get far worse than what we witnessed during the 1970s. At this point, even many top Democrats are warning that high inflation is with us to stay. Here is one recent example… Former President Barack Obama’s chief of global development on Tuesday predicted inflation was here to stay, despite the Biden administration’s protestations to the contrary. Prices “will go higher, and the Fed has misread the inflation dynamics in a big way,” former Global Development Council Chairman Mohamed El Erian said in an afternoon interview with Fox News’ Sandra Smith, adding that the Federal Reserve was “still hostage to this notion that it’s transitory.” And the shortages that we are currently experiencing are ultimately going to get worse too. Right now, we are already facing the worst shortage of alcoholic beverages since the 1930s. When asked about his empty shelves by a reporter, one gas station owner said that he has “never seen anything like this”… Supply chain issues are impacting the alcohol supply in the U.S., and it’s making alcohol more expensive and difficult for bars and liquor stores to get. “I have so many empty shelves. In the two years of doing this, I’ve never seen anything like this,” gas station chain owner Ali Ali said. As I discussed yesterday, now Biden wants to take countless more truck drivers off the road, and that will make our supply chain headaches a whole lot worse. And as energy prices escalate, that will push all prices throughout our economic system higher and higher and higher. Yes, all of this is really happening. This is not a drill. We are in the early chapters of a full-blown economic meltdown of epic proportions, and nothing will ever be the same after this. If you want to keep waiting for conditions to “return to normal”, you are going to be waiting for a really, really long time. We have entered a truly horrible nightmare, and there will be no waking up from this. Parents Teaching Or Government Indoctrination - You Choose – Pete Hoekstra - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=5036 The discontent at school board meetings across America is hard to miss. It is showing up in the news and social media feeds that people are watching and reading in their homes. Many people, however, are missing the major driver of this discontent -- the major transformation that the White House, National School Boards Association (NSBA) and others are trying to impose on our government schools. The recent debate statements by Terry McAuliffe, the Democrats' Virginia gubernatorial candidate, and actions by Attorney General Merrick Garland following a letter from the NSBA clearly signal they believe that government schools are a tool to be used to indoctrinate children. They also believe the force of the federal government should be used to back them up. They no longer to believe that a child's primary instructor in life is their parents or a close loved and that local control of schools is a central tenet of the American way of life. Instead, they believe it is the responsibility of the federal government to impose a certain way of thinking and what curriculum children are taught. I take McAuliffe at his word that he really does not believe parents should have a role in developing or reviewing the curriculum that their children are taught in their local public schools. I take the NSBA at its word that it views parents who question local government school curriculum on sexuality, critical race theory, COVID mandates, and other items should be investigated as domestic terrorists. And I believe Garland really does think it is the role of the FBI to protect government schools from concerned parents. When someone tells you what they are planning, or better yet shows you, you should take them seriously. And these individuals should be taken seriously. They are the same people who want to control local education from Washington, and kick parents out of the process, that say they want open borders, cradle-to-grave social programs for everyone, higher taxes, and a socialist America. Far from meaningless campaign rhetoric, the left is doing everything and more that they promised in the run-up to the 2020 election. And now they are targeting our children. I spent 18 years on the House Education and Labor Committee. Every expert who came in indicated that the most important thing in a child's learning was the presence of a caring adult in that child's life. We learned that schools most connected to their community were most likely to be successful. And that schools that focused on the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic achieved the best results. Republicans and Democrats have been dismantling that paradigm for the last 50 years. In that time, local schools have shifted from safe zones where parents could assume that values taught at home would be reflected at their local government school. Instead, government schools are being forged into the latest tool used to indoctrinate our children with Marxist ideology. To them, parents are no longer an integral part of the learning process, parents have apparently become an impediment. Hillary Clinton once famously said it takes a village to raise a child. It is hard to disagree with that statement on its face until you realize the village Clinton had in mind is the government and not the parents and families who make it up. It is little wonder that McAuliffe, who is a key figure in the Clinton machine, sees things the same way when it comes to parents and education. They evidently believe it must protect our children from what it perceives as backward ideas such as clinging to "guns or religion" as then-presidential candidate Barack Obama said. While the media may portray this as a battle about COVID mandates, American history, or the teaching of sexuality, those are just the scrimmages that we are witnessing. The real battle is for who the teacher will be in our children's lives -- parents and loving local individuals who know our children's names, or faceless government bureaucrats hell-bent on indoctrinating our children with their particular worldview. This is an attack and disruption of the nuclear family as prescribed by Black Lives Matter literature. It is far past time to stop the controlling influence on education coming from Washington. McAuliffe, Garland, and the NSBA would have you believe that parents are domestic terrorists, but it is time for them to realize how their way of thinking poses a real threat to American rights. Put me in the category of those that believe parents are the ones who should be raising our kids. Daily Jot: Stupidocrisy: Of puppies and COVID - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com The world is aghast after revelations that under Dr. Anthony Fauci’s leadership the National Institutes of Health allocated tens of millions of taxpayer funds since 2007 to perform tortuous experiments on monkeys and beagle puppies. These were not just routine experiments to advance humankind, they were cruel death experiments that are beneath human dignity. The White Coat Waste Project is the whistleblower on these horrible disclosures drawing the attention of some 23 bipartisan House of Representative members who wrote Fauci demanding some answers. Carefully worded denials have been posted saying that the Food and Drug Administration required the experiments. The FDA denied the claim. But there is one thing that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is not denying: That your tax dollars helped fund “gain of function” of coronaviruses in Wuhan, China. In a letter to US Representative James Comer (R-KY), NIH Principal Deputy Director Lawrence A Tabak sort of admitted that unbeknownst to NIH EcoHealth Alliance, the company that had the NIH grant for coronavirus research, helped develop gain of function in Wuhan by testing if “bat coronaviruses circulating in China were capable of binding to the human ACE2 receptor in a mouse model.” But Tabak was emphatic in the letter that while this result was unexpected, these coronaviruses “are not and could not have become SARS-CoV-2.” Tabak states that, “While it might appear that the similarity of RaTG13 and BANAL052 bat coronaviruses to SARS-CoV-2 is close because it overlaps by 96-97%, experts agree that even these viruses are far to0 divergent to have been the progenitor of SARS-CoV-2…The analysis attached confirms that the bat coronaviruses studied under the EcoHealth Alliance grant could not have been the source of SARS-CoV-2 and the COVID-19 pandemic.” Fauci, under fire from Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) for lying to Congress about NIH funding gain of function research in Wuhan, defiantly maintains that this gain of function research did not in any way result in COVID 19. Nevertheless, the lie is told and what was learned in the gain of function experiments could well have been used to develop what resulted in the deaths of five million people. To me, what is really stupid here is that by virus or by NIH-FDA-prescribed deadly treatment protocols—that hospitals still follow even knowing the mortality rates—some five million people have suffered untenable deaths. This, the news media, big med, big tech, and leftists can seem to accept and even ridicule any attempt to get at the truth. But you go harm some monkeys, enough is enough. Puppies even worse. But five million people? Nah, we don’t need to find out who is at fault or hold any accountability. Don’t get me wrong. I deplore the torture of any living creature. But five million humans? Christ said in John 10:10, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” What do you think has happened here with Fauci, politicians, the media, big tech, big med and big pharma? Not to mention China. Say it with me…Stupidocrisy. Daily Devotion: Draw the Lines - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org Then David ran over and pulled Goliath’s sword from its sheath. David used it to kill him and cut off his head. —1 Samuel 17:51 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/draw-the-lines/ - Listen How many times have you seen a movie where the good guy has just overpowered the bad guy, and then, for some reason, the good guy turns his back on the bad guy. You know what’s going to happen next. The bad guy comes out of nowhere and attacks the good guy. David wasn’t going to let that scene unfold in his story. Verse 51 of 1 Samuel 17 says, “Then David ran over and pulled Goliath’s sword from its sheath. David used it to kill him and cut off his head” (NLT). When you’re battling a giant, that’s what you need to do as well. Let’s say, for instance, that you’re tempted by alcohol. Do you have it in your house? If the answer is yes, then get rid of it. Take off the cap and pour it down the drain. Is your struggle with sexual sin? Then put barriers around your life so you don’t fall into that sin. Sometimes that means the complete termination of a relationship, because it’s very hard to turn the clock back if a relationship has become sexual. It’s very difficult to say, “We’re not going to do that anymore.” You will have to bring your relationship to a place where you’re not in a situation of vulnerability like you were before. Sin is sin, so just call it what it is. Don’t try and rationalize it by saying, “Well, it’s a weakness. It’s a vulnerability. Everyone is doing it. It doesn’t really matter.” Sin is still sin. We keep things around that are weaknesses for us, and then we’re shocked when they come back to bring us down in a moment of vulnerability. That’s why we need to get rid of the things we’re tempted to return to. That’s why we need to kill our giants. FROM THE HEART Let Us Make the Short Time We have Left, Count for ALL of Eternity! What on earth are you doing for Heaven's Sake? "Share in the Blessings and Rewards that will last Forever!" "Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey 1) We need your prayers!- We proclaim the Truth of the Word of God and we are under constant spiritual and sometimes even physical attack. 2) We need your encouragement!- We need to hear from you, let us know how the Lord is blessing you through this ministry so that we can share it with others. 3) We need your input! - If you have a prophetic article or story or if there is a news related item we missed, let us know. 4) We need your financial support!- To put it quite simply, without your support, there would be no Prophecy Update. I ask that you would prayerfully consider partnering with us to get the Word out and keep the world informed. Remember, your gift, no matter how small, does make a difference! You will be helping to touch lives, around the world, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, thanks to the internet your generosity carries a global impact! - Thanks! Our Prayer for You- "Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else." 2 Corinthians 9:10-13 If you have been blessed by Prophecy Update and would like to help support this ministry financially.
