The Coming of the Son of Man, Part II - By Randy Nettles - https://www.raptureready.com/2021/10/29/the-coming-of-the-son-of-man-part-ii-by-randy-nettles/
COMING OF THE SON OF MAN In the Matthew account of the Olivet discourse, Jesus is definitely revealing details of his ‘coming’ again (after his death and resurrection) to set up His Millennium Kingdom and the events and signs that precede it. The disciples understood this upcoming event simply as His “coming into His Kingdom,” not as His “second coming” as believers do in this age. Jesus himself called it the “coming of the Son of Man,” and the term is used five times in Matthew 24. In three of these verses (27, 37, and 39), the Greek word for coming is parousia, which means advent, presence, a being near, or a coming. In the other two verses in Matthew 24 (30, 44), the Greek word for coming is erchomenon, meaning to come, go; to come from one place into another. It is widely used in the Bible in a general sense of people traveling from one place to another. Primarily, the word parousia refers to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. It can refer to either His Second Coming/Advent to the earth at the end of the 7-year Tribulation or to His coming in the sky to rapture His Church prior to the Tribulation. The Second Coming parousia is a visible event that the whole world will witness. The Rapture is an invisible parousia, which no unbeliever that is left behind will witness. Some examples of Second Coming parousia are Matthew 24:27, 2 Peter 1:16, 1 Thessalonians 3:13, and 2 Peter 3:4. It’s interesting to note that the word parousia is only used in the Matthew account of the Olivet discourse. In Mark and Luke, the word erchomenon is used instead, although it is clear that the Second Coming is the context of these verses, as Jesus is ‘coming’ from heaven to the earth. Some examples of rapture parousia are 1 Corinthians 15:23, 1 Thessalonians 2:19 and 5:23, James 5:8, 1 John 2:28, and 1 Thessalonians 4:15. Now we come to the pivotal verse of Matthew 24:36. “But of that day and (or) hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.” I believe this verse and the following verses (37-51) are the answer to Jesus’ second question (what will be the sign of your coming?). The pre-tribulation Rapture, as represented by the hour, is the supernatural 7th sign that Jesus will come again to set up His Millennial Kingdom. It will occur at least 7 years before the Second coming. The Day of the Lord is when God/Jesus Christ intervenes in the affairs of mankind at the end of the age. Hosea, the Old Testament prophet, spoke of these end times. “Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he has torn, and he will heal us; he has smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days he will revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth” (Hosea 6:1-3). I believe this ‘rain’ is a typology of Jesus’ coming to the earth at his first and second advent. Day 1 is the age of grace. It started with the giving of the Holy Spirit to Jesus’ apostles at Pentecost (start of the Church) and will end with the Rapture of the saints (end of the Church). Day 2 is the Day of the Lord. It will start with the pre-tribulation Rapture and will end with the Second Coming of Jesus to the earth. Day 3 consists of the 1000-year reign of Jesus Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords over all the nations of the earth. For more information, see: But of that Day and Hour – Part 2 | Rapture Forums The Olivet discourse of Matthew, Mark, and Luke refers to Day 2 of Hosea’s prophecy, with the Coming of the Son of Man at the pre-tribulation Rapture (Matthew 24:37-51) and then the Coming of the Son of Man at the Second Advent (Matthew 24:1-29). The Rapture is the first hour of the Day of the Lord. It is part one of two parts of the “coming of the Son of Man.” THE RAPTURE IN THE FOURTH GOSPEL OF JOHN? John the apostle and author of the books of John and Revelation (as well as 1 John, 2 John, and 3 John), quoting Jesus, had this to say about the hour of the resurrection of the dead that occurs at the Rapture. “Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life [at the Rapture]; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation” [at the Great White Throne Judgment] (John 5:25-29). The great resurrection of the dead in Christ will occur at the time of the Rapture. All those who have placed their trust in Jesus Christ during the Church Age (Pentecost to the Rapture) will be resurrected at the Rapture. At this point, chronologically speaking, Jesus didn’t mention the ‘harpazo’ of the Rapture, only the resurrection of the dead. Harpazo is the Greek word for “caught up” as mentioned in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. “The English word ‘rapture‘ comes from a Latin word, ‘rapio‘, which means to seize or snatch in relation to an ecstasy of spirit or the actual removal from one place to another. In other words, it means to be carried away in spirit and or in body. The Rapture of the church means the carrying away of the church from earth to heaven.” {1} The first time Jesus mentions the harpazo, in my opinion, is in John 11:25-26. Jesus was speaking to Martha in regard to her brother’s (Lazarus) death and his resurrection to come. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.” These three sentences aptly describe the Rapture. In the first sentence, Jesus calls attention to Himself as the power that resurrects the dead believers. The second sentence could be in reference to the resurrection of the Old Testament saints and Tribulation martyrs that occur at the Second Coming, but I believe it is a reference to the Rapture. “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first” (1 Thessalonians 4:16). The third sentence, “Whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die,” is proof that He is talking about the Rapture. “Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them [resurrected dead] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:17). Jesus’ next laconic teaching of the Rapture occurs a few days before the Passover and his crucifixion. It is recorded in John 14:1-3 and is revealed in only three verses. “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” These three references to the Rapture, found in the fourth gospel of John, set the precedent that the pre-tribulation Rapture was taught (however vague) by Jesus to his disciples in the gospel accounts, including the Olivet discourse. All of the teachings in these verses of the gospels by Jesus to his disciples occurred during the last week of Jesus’ life, called the “passion of Christ.” Jesus didn’t go into great detail regarding this great mystery but merely mentioned it, so later (after his death, resurrection, ascension, and the giving of the Holy Spirit), the disciples would remember it and write down the words Jesus spoke. RAPTURE IN THE OLIVET DISCOURSE? Matthew 24:37-39 compares the coming of the Son of Man to the days of Noah. So, which ‘coming’ (parousia) are these verses referring to, the Second Coming or the Rapture? To me, they sound exactly like what will happen in the pre-tribulation Rapture. The activities that are mentioned (eating, drinking, marrying, and given in marriage in the days of Noah; also in Luke 17, they sold, they planted, they built in the days of Lot) are all normal daily activities that seem unlikely in the end days of the Great Tribulation, when people will just be trying to survive. “And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened” (Matthew 24:22). Matthew 24:39 says that the ungodly people of Noah’s day “did not know” of the impending disaster until the flood (antediluvian’s tribulation) took them away. How can the survivors of the Tribulation not know Jesus is coming again (Second Coming) in judgment and punishment after the cataclysmic seal, trumpet, and bowl judgments? Also, the message of the Kingdom of God will be preached to all the world by the 144,000 Jewish evangelicals and by the angel of Revelation 14, who will preach the everlasting gospel “to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people.” In contrast, it will be business as usual during the days before the pre-tribulation Rapture. “Knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation” (2 Peter 3:3-4). The great flood is a typology of the Tribulation. The days of Noah represent the evil days and people before the Tribulation (including the days before the rapture). The ark represents the pre-tribulation Rapture. It represents safety from judgment or an escape from the Tribulation. Luke 21:36 says, “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” There is no means of escape from the Tribulation after the Rapture other than death. Noah and his family represent the righteous (in God’s eye) saints that God allows to escape the coming apocalypse. Of course, the unbelieving doomed citizens of the antediluvian age (whom the flood came and took them all away) represent the ones who will perish during the Tribulation. They have waited too long to get on board the ark (Rapture) to escape the great flood (Tribulation). Let’s examine the next two verses of Matthew 24. “Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left” (Matthew 24:40-41). Are these verses talking about the pre-tribulation Rapture or the Second Coming? To me, it sounds more likely that they are rapture events, where Jesus takes (catches up, seizes, snatches) the believer and leaves the unbeliever. If, on the other hand, they are talking about the Second Coming, several problems arise. Even if conditions in some parts of the earth are capable of producing crops, after all the judgments from God that destroy most of the land, which one (worker) is taken and which one is left? The Bible doesn’t actually say. Mister Walvoord believes the unbelievers are taken and the believers are left. “At the second coming of Christ, the saved remain on earth, and the unsaved are taken away in judgment at the beginning of the millennial kingdom. The very word taken away in Matthew 24:40-41 is used of Christ being taken away to the cross, obviously being taken in judgment as used here (as per John 19:16).” {2} If this is true, it presents a problem in the next chapter (Matthew 25) where all the nations (peoples) that are still alive at the end of the Tribulation will be gathered before Lord Jesus, and He will separate them one from another. This is known as the sheep and goat judgment and is described in Matthew 25: 31-46. The sheep represent the saved (and the ones who help the Jews during the Tribulation). They are placed on Jesus’ right-hand side. The goats represent the unsaved (and the ones who do not help the Jews), and they are placed on Jesus’ left-hand side. The sheep survivors will inherit the kingdom of God, and the goat survivors will be thrown into the Lake of Fire. If the ones who were taken in verses 40 and 41 are the goats, that means the ones who were left are the sheep. This begs the question, why weren’t they both taken by the angels to face Jesus at the sheep and goat judgment? If the ones who were left weren’t taken by the angels to the sheep and goat judgments, how do they get to Jerusalem (where Jesus will have His throne) from all over the world? The last three verses of Matthew 24 all talk about not knowing what hour Jesus is coming, so the people need to watch and be ready. In verse 42, He is called Lord. In verse 43, He is compared to a thief who comes unexpectedly. And in verse 44, He is called the Son of Man. I believe this hour is none other than the Rapture as taught by Paul in 1 Thessalonians and 1 Corinthians 15:51-53. Paul was the man that Jesus chose to reveal the details of the Rapture and thus to teach the other apostles and the entire world about this great mystery. It is my opinion that in both the Second Parousia and the Harpazo Parousia no one will know the day or the hour Jesus will return. The Rapture is a signless and imminent event, so no one will know in advance the day or hour it occurs. Even though there are many signs for the Second Advent (including the pre-tribulation Rapture), the conditions of the earth after all of God’s judgments and the effects of war (probably some nuclear) will render the exact day and hour of the Second coming unknowable. But come He will, and every eye will behold Him! “Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” Randy Nettles [email protected] Endnotes: {1} Bible.org – Where did the term ‘rapture’ come from? {2} Every Prophecy of the Bible by John F. Walvoord, published by David C. Cook; pg. 383 Is The Drama Unfolding In New York Setting the Stage for David Wilkerson’s “Thousand Fires” Prophecy to Be Fulfilled? - by Michael Snyder - http://endoftheamericandream.com/is-the-drama-unfolding-in-new-york-setting-the-stage-for-david-wilkersons-thousand-fires-prophecy-to-be-fulfilled/ New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has decided that purging thousands upon thousands of important municipal workers will make the city a safer place. But instead, could it actually be setting the stage for complete and utter chaos? Earlier today, when I visited Steve Quayle’s website I noticed that he had mentioned David Wilkerson’s prophecy about widespread fires in New York City. I instantly remembered the prophecy that he was talking about, and I decided to go look it up again. For those that are not familiar with it, here is the relevant portion of that particular prophecy… For ten years I have been warning about a thousand fires coming to New York City. It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires—such as we saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago. Some have suggested that the widespread rioting that we witnessed in 2020 was at least a partial fulfillment of this prophecy. I believe that those riots were just the beginning. We haven’t seen a thousand fires burning simultaneously in New York City yet, but a great way to set the stage for such an event would be to dramatically reduce the number of firefighters. Unfortunately, that is precisely what is happening right now. Just check out these numbers… NYC has issued a state-wide call for firefighters from both Long Island and Upstate New York as one-third of city firefighters remain unvaccinated ahead of the November 1 deadline, leaving 26 firehouses shuttered. About 72 percent of FDNY workers have been vaccinated ahead of the November 1 deadline, meaning that up to 4,000 workers may be terminated from the department. If civil unrest erupts and rioters are suddenly setting hundreds of fires all over the city, would the FDNY have the resources to deal with such a crisis? I think that is definitely an open question at this point. Now that the November 1st deadline has passed, there are going to be a lot fewer police officers and ambulances on the streets of New York City as well. Bill de Blasio is entirely convinced that everything will be just fine. We shall see. Meanwhile, cities on the west coast are wrestling with similar issues. In Los Angeles County, officials are facing a potential loss of 20 to 30 percent of their police officers… Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva continues to rail against the county’s vaccine mandate, warning it is causing a “mass exodus” in his department and threatens public safety at a time when violent crime is on the rise. “I have repeatedly stated the dangers to public safety when 20%-30% of my workforce is no longer available to provide service, and those dangers are quickly becoming a reality,” Villanueva said in a prepared statement that he posted on social media last week. “We are experiencing an increase in unscheduled retirements, worker compensation claims, employees quitting, and a reduction in qualified applicants.” Do you think that the streets of southern California will be safer or less safe once close to a third of all police officers are gone? The answer to that question is quite obvious. Other areas of the country are also dealing with growing shortages of law enforcement personnel. For example, just check out what is happening in Georgia… At a Georgia state House of Representatives hearing on prison conditions in September, a corrections officer called in to testify, interrupting his shift to tell lawmakers how dire conditions had become. On a “good day,” he told lawmakers, he had maybe six or seven officers to supervise roughly 1,200 people. He said he had recently been assigned to look after 400 prisoners by himself. There weren’t enough nurses to provide medical care. Those numbers are crazy. As more mandates go into effect all over the nation, personnel shortages are only going to become even more dire. The people that we rely on to maintain order are going to be stretched really, really thin, and such an environment is an invitation for chaos. In recent years, our nation has been transformed into a tinderbox of anger and frustration. As the riots of 2020 demonstrated, rioting can spread nationwide in just a matter of days under certain circumstances. And now thanks to these new mandates, our major cities are going to be a whole lot less capable of dealing with unrest than they were previously. In his 2009 blog post discussing this prophecy, David Wilkerson offered some practical advice… First, I give you a practical word I received for my own direction. If possible lay in store a thirty-day supply of non-perishable food, toiletries and other essentials. In major cities, grocery stores are emptied in an hour at the sign of an impending disaster. As for our spiritual reaction, we have but two options. This is outlined in Psalm 11. We “flee like a bird to a mountain.” Or, as David says, “He fixed his eyes on the Lord on his throne in heaven—his eyes beholding, his eyelids testing the sons of men” (v. 4). “In the Lord I take refuge” (v. 1). I will say to my soul: No need to run…no need to hide. This is God’s righteous work. I will behold our Lord on his throne, with his eye of tender, loving kindness watching over every step I take—trusting that he will deliver his people even through floods, fires, calamities, tests, trials of all kinds. I very much agree with his assessment. Now that we have entered a period of time when so many prophecies are on the verge of being fulfilled, doing what you can to physically prepare for what is ahead should be a priority. But of course spiritual preparation is even more important. Those of us that belong to Jesus do not have to fear what is to come. God knew about all of this in advance, He is in control, and He has a plan. And those of us that have read the end of the book know that we win in the end. But those that do not know Jesus definitely have reason to fear. Everything that they have built their lives upon will crumble, and even if they are able to somehow survive the years ahead it will seem like the world has gone absolutely mad all around them. We are going to see so much panic, depression and despair during the times that are coming. People will be throwing themselves off of buildings, some will throw themselves in front of trains, and others will be trying to kill themselves with whatever pills they can find. I want to tell as many people as I possibly can that there is hope in Jesus. Jesus died on the cross to pay the price for your sins, and if you will give your life to Him your sins will be forgiven and you will have eternal life. I know that this is not a particularly popular message today, but it is the most important message that I could ever share with you. Jesus is the answer for whatever problems you are facing, and if you will surrender your life to Him you will be given endless hope and a very bright future. Could Self-Centeredness Be a Sign of the Coming Tribulation? - By Dr. David Jeremiah - https://harbingersdaily.com/could-self-centeredness-be-a-sign-of-the-coming-tribulation/ Our world is changing, and not for the better. People are becoming more callous, selfish, violent, and angry. Attitudes and behaviors deemed unthinkable even a decade ago are now considered acceptable. But why do people go the wrong way? Why do good people do bad things? For thousands of years, people have been debating these types of questions. According to Scripture, sin is the fundamental problem of every person. The Bible makes it clear that corruption entered our bloodstream through Adam and Eve, who rebelled against God in His garden. Because we’ve been stained by sin, we can produce nothing good on our own — either as individuals or collectively. This has been true for God’s people throughout the centuries. But can you feel it? Something has changed. The bad is getting worse. Just consider the story of Xiao Zhen Xie, who lives in San Francisco. Xie is seventy-five years old, and she was the victim of a brutal attack while she was walking on Market Street in the middle of the day. A young man struck her in the face without provocation. Without warning or mercy. How can we account for such reckless disregard for humanity? I want to show you a prediction about the last days that will put all of this into prophetic context. The apostle Paul wrote his final letter to Timothy, his son in the faith, from a Roman cell. Near the end of his letter, Paul drew a surprisingly detailed picture of how people will behave prior to the tribulation. “But know this,” he wrote, “that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power” (2 Tim. 3:1–5). And notice what he added in verse 13: “But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” Paul gave us nineteen specific character descriptions of what people will be like. I can’t bore into all nineteen words and phrases, but I can show you a pattern—Paul’s words move from selfish people to splintered families to shattered societies. The increasing selfishness of the last days will manifest itself in selfish people, and those selfish people will inevitably result in damaged families. People will focus less on loved ones. Their time, energy, and passion will be tied up in themselves. And the more broken families you find within a society, the more broken that society will become. If the ungodly world is characterized by these negatives, how should God’s people live in the midst of it all? Ephesians 5:8 is a powerful, yet short passage that illuminates three pathways for God’s people to navigate this darkened world. First, remember the grace you received. We are spiritually, morally, personally, and eternally in pitch blackness. The moment we come to Christ, He pushes down the lever that connects us to the throne of grace and switches on a billion megawatts of light inside us. Second, reflect the light you have become. We must exude God’s light. We have to convey it, reflect it, and radiate it. That’s what we read in Ephesians 5:8–10: “Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.” Third, reveal the darkness you see. The Ephesians passage goes on to tell us something else: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says: ‘Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light’ ” (Eph. 5:11–14). Everyone is longing for some light. The world and its darkness are closing in on us. But when Jesus Christ comes into your life, He switches on the light that can never be turned off. Nearing Midnight: The Attorney General’s Bizarre Attack on Parents – Todd Strandberg - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ In early October, Attorney General Merrick Garland issued an unusual directive to the FBI and federal law enforcement officials across the nation to focus on alleged criminal conduct in protests by parents against school boards. Garland directed the FBI and U.S. attorneys in the next 30 days to convene meetings with federal, state, and local leaders within 30 days to “facilitate the discussion of strategies for addressing threats against school administrators, board members, teachers, and staff,” according to a letter. And the DOJ made sure that school boards and officials will be trained in how to be claimed as victims who can call on those enforcement mechanisms. From the DOJ press release: “The Justice Department will also create specialized training and guidance for local school boards and school administrators. This training will help school board members and other potential victims understand the type of behavior that constitutes threats, how to report threatening conduct to the appropriate law enforcement agencies, and how to capture and preserve evidence of threatening conduct to aid in the investigation and prosecution of these crimes.” Outrage ensued immediately and appropriately from parents and their organizations and commentators who are infuriated that a threat of federal law enforcement is being used to try to scare them out of constitutionally protected speech. Many parents across the country have spoken out recently with unprecedented anger in unprecedented numbers at school board meetings and beyond. Many of their complaints have been about Critical Race Theory in classrooms, mask mandates, and explicit materials for minors about sexuality and gender. Garland’s directive came one day after a North Carolina school board adopted a policy that would discipline or dismiss teachers if they incorporate critical race theory into their teaching of the history of the United States. While most of our major cities have a soaring problem with murder and robbery, we have Garland worried about unruly parents at a school board meeting. I read several stories on this issue, and not once did someone cite an example of a meeting that involved violent crime. Keep in mind that a real crime requires violence or a threat to commit either violence or some other illegal act. But most of the offensive conduct being referenced by the media and school officials is not criminal. Is it criminal to say, for example, “we will get you,” or “we will not forget this,” or “your career in education is dead”? The Attorney General has no business involving himself in school boards’ crime problems. This action is like the Coast Guard becoming concerned about parking violations in North Dakota. If there are any issues with matters at school board meetings, it should be the concern of local police or city administrators. Several people in Washington have called Garland for his odd directive. “Garland knows this is dangerous nonsense. I personally know that he knows it.” That’s from Andrew McCarthy, who worked under Garland in the DOJ. McCarthy further wrote that “Garland incorrectly — indeed, outrageously for someone of his experience as a Justice Department official and federal appellate judge — claimed that free-speech principles yield not only to “threats of violence” but also to “efforts to intimidate individuals based on their views.” Republican Congressman for Colorado’s 4th District, Ken Buck, has penned an excellent reply for Garland’s overreach, taking apart the AG’s “weaponization” of the DOJ point by point… “Your memorandum is a politically-motivated abuse of power and displays a lack of reasoned, sound judgment… confronting parents to oppose the views of the Biden administration and its socialist agenda…” At any other time, Garland would be forced by outrage to apologize for this type of action. Because a special level of stupidity has taken over America, he was not forced to back down. At a recent Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Garland said the directive was part of “a rising tide of violence” targeting a range of public figures, from teachers and election administrators to members of Congress and the media. We need to fear out-of-control government leaders 10 times more than we do crime waves. It is so fortunate that the Republican senators refused to vote on Garland’s nomination when Obama selected him as his last Supreme Court candidate. Garland would vote with the other lefty justices, so we could have already lost many of our liberties to this man. The actions by Garland show why we are slowly losing our nation to the leftist agenda. Most of them always vote for what the party wants. They are of one giant collective mind on most issues. Once there is enough of them to take full control, freedom will end in America. “When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan” (Proverbs 29:2, ESV). Daily Jot: Stupidocrisy: The self-inflicted mandate poison pill - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com Everywhere we look, these unconstitutional vaccine mandates are wreaking havoc on Americans. If this continues, it won’t be long before unemployment will be at record levels, the economy will be slowed to a standstill, and people’s lives will be in danger across the board. Think about it: Chicago isn’t the safest place in the world as it is. What will happen if the police, firefighters, ambulance first responders, nurses and doctors are no longer allowed to show up for work because they choose not to be FORCED to take the COVID 19 shot? Woah, it’s not just Chicago. New York, Minneapolis, many other cities, even the US military and government offices. This is a self-inflicted poison pill. The Biden Administration can’t be this stupid. It seems like a strategic plan. By mandating involuntary vaccinations to people who refuse them, Biden and his band are playing with fire. These mandates not only impact the economy, they impact the national security. The Epoch Times reports that in the Air Force alone, which is pretty important, “11,462 airmen have not begun a vaccination program before the Nov. 2 deadline to become fully vaccinated. Another nearly 12,000 reserve personnel or Space Force members remain unvaccinated, according to data released by the Air Force. Reserves have until Dec. 2 to become fully vaccinated.” As of Oct. 27, over 381,000 troops in other service branches remain unvaccinated. The Epoch Times also reported that “Approximately two in five New York City restaurants, gyms, and entertainment venues weren’t fully abiding by the city’s COVID-19 vaccination pass mandate when first inspected. The city managed to inspect nearly two-thirds of the estimated 31,000 businesses that are required to ask their employees and customers for proof of vaccination. Some 8,000 were issued a warning for noncompliance. Of those, more than 3,300 for infractions that would have led to violations which could be penalized with a fine of $1,000 for the first and going up to $5,000 for the third. Upon second inspection at least two weeks later, only 21 establishments were issued violations, according to Jeff Dupee, City Hall’s senior adviser managing the mandate.” This may be a peek into where the rest of the country might be headed. Reuters reports, “Opposition to the mandate could potentially lead to thousands of U.S. workers losing their jobs and imperil an already sluggish economic recovery.” People from across all aspects of the economy are protesting the mandates as civil rights violations. It’s one thing to get the shot voluntarily, but to be compelled involuntarily either directly or indirectly at threat of losing your job or ability to freely participate in society is tyrannical. And if it continues, it will have an entirely negative impact on the nation’s economy and national defense. The Lord says in Jeremiah 23:1, Woe be unto the shepherds that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture.” America is scattered by very bad leaders who are force feeding a poison pill to destroy the freedoms and economic engines that prosper it. After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. —Genesis 5:21–22 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/its-a-walk-not-a-sprint/ - Listen Walking is something that speaks of regularity, a continuous action on the part of the person who is doing it. The Bible tells us that Enoch walked with God. Walking with God means being constant in your relationship with Him. Yet when it comes to their spiritual lives, some people go in spurts. They run in a mad dash for a short distance and then collapse in a heap. Then they get up, run a little more, and collapse again. But notice the Bible doesn’t say that Enoch sprinted with God. Rather, he walked with God. It’s also worth noting when Enoch began to walk with God. Genesis 5 tells us that “Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years” (verses 21–22 NKJV). We can conclude from these verses that Methuselah’s birth may have caused something to happen in Enoch, and he realized that he needed to start walking with the Lord. I’ve seen this happen in the lives of many people who never really took their spiritual lives too seriously until they got married and started having children. In fact, one reason that many people return to church is because they want to pass spiritual values on to their children. Maybe this was the reason that Enoch began to walk with God. But there might be another reason: the name Methuselah means “when he is dead, it shall be sent.” God revealed to Enoch that He would judge the world when Methuselah died. That would really get you on your toes spiritually, wouldn’t it? It had a dramatic impact on Enoch’s life. In the same way, what God wants from us, among other things, is that we would be consistent in our relationship with Him. Will you make the choice to walk with God every day?
