The Convergence of Thinking - By Daymond Duck - https://www.raptureready.com/2021/10/31/the-convergence-of-thinking-by-daymond-duck/
This article is different from what I usually write. I recently listened to a Prophecy Update by Pastor Tom Hughes that inspired me to get this out. (Thank you, brother; Pastor Hughes can be found at hopeforourtimes.com.) When the disciples asked Jesus about the signs of His coming and the end of the age (Matt. 24:3), He mentioned several signs and then revealed the parable of the Fig Tree (Israel; Matt. 24:32-35; Luke 21:29-33). When I first started studying Bible prophecy, most of the prophecy books that I read said Israel is the number one sign, but in recent years, most say the convergence of the signs is the number one sign. History has now entered a period of unparalleled convergence of the signs, and that is extremely important, but the convergence of globalist thinking is also very important. The Books of Daniel and Revelation reveal a major part of what is known about the development of world government at the end of the age. Here is a vision of the coming world government that God gave to Daniel.
The fourth beast that Daniel saw was terrible, exceedingly strong, and it had ten horns. (Note: The Antichrist and False Prophet are called beasts in Rev. 13.) While Daniel was pondering the meaning of the ten horns, he saw another seemingly insignificant horn (an eleventh horn; a little horn) come up.
Daniel was surrounded by angels; he approached one of the angels and asked him to explain these things.
The four beasts (kings) were future in Daniel’s day; the first three have appeared and are past to us, but the fourth beast (king) is still future to us. The fourth beast (king) with ten horns is the coming world government (Rev. 13:1). Be aware that in Old Testament times, kings and kingdoms were considered one and the same because what the king decreed, the kingdom did (the words king and kingdom are interchangeable; the king is the kingdom).
Daniel asked the angel to give him more information on three things: 1) The fourth beast (king); 2) The ten horns that came up, and 3) The little horn that came up.
The fourth beast (king) is an earthly kingdom that will encompass the whole earth and cause great destruction. (It is a coming kingdom on earth that will take over the entire world; it is the coming world government.) The ten horns are ten kings (leaders) that will have power in this kingdom, but they will appear before the eleventh king (the Antichrist) appears. Let’s go to the Book of Revelation and what John the Revelator saw about this.
The ten horns are ten future kings (John’s future) that will hold power in the days of the fourth beast (in the days of the Antichrist; Rev. 13:1; during the last world government). The ten kings will have one mind, meaning they will think alike (there will be a convergence of thinking). They will give (or surrender) their authority and militaries to the Antichrist and support him. “For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled” (Rev. 17:17). The ten kings’ convergence of thinking will be God’s doing because God’s Word must be fulfilled. God will cause those in power to think alike and surrender their power and authority to the Antichrist. Every jot and tittle of Bible prophecy must be fulfilled. Let’s go back to the Book of Daniel.
God has determined that Israel and the world (Rev. 3:10) will have to go through the Tribulation Period to get people to give up their sins, to initiate His kingdom of righteousness on earth (Millennial reign), to fulfill all Bible prophecy, and to install Jesus as the King of kings and Lord of lords. Concerning the ten kings, the Church will be raptured before the Antichrist confirms the seven-year covenant with many, but the Church could possibly be here when some or all the ten kings appear (II Thess. 2:6-12). Recall that on Jan. 25-29, 2021, the UN World Economic Forum brought together a group of government leaders, international business leaders, media giants, and others in Davos, Switzerland, for the “Davos Dialogues.”
Concerning the convergence of thinking, the stage was set for leaders of one mind on Sept. 25, 2015, by the unanimous vote of 193 nations to approve the Transforming of our World: The 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
Here is another example: On Sept. 13, 2021, it was reported that UN Sec. Gen. Guterres released a document titled “Our Common Agenda.” Notice this: The Bible says God will cause the ten kings to have one mind, and now the UN has a common agenda. This is not a coincidence. God reveals the future before it happens. “Our Common Agenda” is called a New Agenda for Peace.
Those that have heard about the Antichrist might not accept one-man rule, but they will be caught off guard and accept ten-man rule, not knowing that Bible prophecy says the ten will surrender their authority and militaries to one man.
There are skeptics that do not think that we are close to a one-world government and religion, but if God is causing world leaders to think alike to fulfill His Word, He cannot be stopped.
The Antichrist will come out of the EU.
Finally, are you Rapture Ready? If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this. [email protected] Is This the Beginning of a New Cold War Between Biden and Israel? – Jonathan Tobin - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=5043 As far as Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid are concerned, this week has brought a perfect storm of circumstances that threaten to complicate their hopes for a better relationship with the United States. Both men, each for their own reasons, see establishing a good rapport with President Joe Biden and his administration as one of the main goals of their coalition government that took office in June. But blistering criticism was issued by the U.S. State Department on two issues: its renewed commitment to reopening a U.S. consulate in Jerusalem and settlement building in the West Bank. On top of that is the news that Iran is returning to nuclear talks in Vienna. They were body blows to hopes that their ousting of former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is viewed by Biden's team as the devil incarnate, would ensure the president's goodwill and protect them against the kind of hostility that was the hallmark of U.S. attitudes towards Jerusalem the last time Democrats were in power. Perhaps they knew that the announcement that a few thousand new homes would be built in existing West Bank settlements, as well as the designation of six Palestinian non-governmental organizations as terror groups, would provoke Washington's ire. The two are also painfully aware that their attempts have failed to persuade the Americans to back off their determination to renew efforts to appease Iran and bring it back into a nuclear deal that Israelis believe is a disaster. All the sappy rhetoric Bennett and Lapid could muster in public about their affection for Biden and their belief in his friendship for Israel flopped, as did their strong arguments and warnings about the folly of engagement with Iran that they delivered in private. On top of that the president's clear determination to reopen a U.S. consulate in Jerusalem to serve as an embassy to the Palestinians, even if he is willing to wait until after the Israeli coalition passes a budget in November, puts their government in peril of collapsing if they fail to stop something that undermines Israel's sovereignty over its capital. However, more important than the longevity of their rickety alliance of right, left, centrist and Arab political parties is something else. The question Bennett and Lapid need to be asking themselves is whether, even without having Netanyahu as their antagonist, this administration is really prepared to return to the situation between the two countries that existed in December 2016. If so, the Jewish state is in for a rough ride in the coming years. And no amount of eyewash about a belief in a bipartisan consensus in America supporting the U.S.-Israel alliance will be enough to cushion the damage that an openly antagonistic administration could do. The arguments for a worst-case scenario for a rapid and steep decline in amity between the two nations are strong. The first concerns the personnel in place in the State Department and the White House. Much was and continues to be made of the warm feelings of Biden Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan for Israel. And as much as the trio has had many disagreements with Israeli leaders over the years, especially during the Obama administration, in which they all served, the claim isn't false. Unlike Obama, all three have a certain degree of affection for the Jewish state, and in Biden's case, the professions of friendship date back to the beginnings of his half-century of public office-holding. But his friendship has always been conditional. As former Defense Secretary Robert Gates admirably summed up his career, Biden has been wrong about every important foreign-policy issue for 40 years. He always tells listeners how much he loves Israel but also thinks he knows better than its leaders and its people about what is in their best interests. He believes in applying "tough love" to naughty Israelis who need American guidance. Biden also doesn't take kindly to criticism. His self-esteem is such that he regards challenges to his diktats as insults. Netanyahu learned this when the announcement of home-building in Jerusalem in 2010 during a Biden visit led to a major incident between the two countries because of the then-vice president's allegedly hurt feelings. If anything, Biden has grown even more thin-skinned since then as his consistently short-tempered responses to non-sycophantic questions from citizens and journalists alike have shown in the last two years. Biden and his chief advisers are not complete fantasists, so unlike former President Barack Obama, they don't actually expect to miraculously bring about a two-state solution that the Palestinians don't want. But should Bennett summon up the spine to resist Biden's will on the consulate or find the temerity to publicly challenge him on Iran, the blowback may have serious consequences. While the three men at the top are conditional friends of Israel who think they should save the Jewish state from itself, Biden's appointments at the next level of authority aren't quite so affectionate. Some, like Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman and Robert Malley, the special envoy for Iran, are veterans of both the Clinton and Obama administrations and have a far less favorable view of the relationship. Sherman was the architect of disastrous nuclear agreements with both North Korea and Iran, and has learned nothing from her mistakes. Malley was, among other things, an apologist for Palestinian leader/terrorist Yasser Arafat and a leading advocate for a rapprochement with Iran. Just as troubling is the fact that throughout the federal bureaucracy, there are people, like, for example, Hady Amr, Assistant Secretary of State for Israeli and Palestinian Affairs, who reflect the views of the Democratic base on the Middle East. Younger and more in tune with the intersectional ideology and critical race theory ideas that dominate the academy and left-wing activist discourse, they view Israel with a degree of hostility absent among older peace processors and diplomats. No less important a factor is Biden's need to be in sync with congressional progressives whose side he has taken on domestic issues. Rather than stand up to the leftist "Squad" and its anti-Semitic and pro-BDS members, Biden prefers to court them. This is not so much a matter of ideological affinity as it is of political necessity. He knows the left not only represents the future of his party, but has far more energy and influence with the Democrats' cheering sections in the media and pop culture than the aging pro-Israel moderates, even if the latter outnumber them. That means that any defiance of the administration from Israel will serve to provide an opportunity for the left to become even more assertive in their attacks on Israel under the guise of defending the president. It makes for a daunting prospect for those in Israel or the United States who hold onto a belief that the coming years won't be a rerun of the nonstop battles between Washington and Jerusalem that characterized the relationship between Obama and Netanyahu from 2009 to 2016. Yet Bennett and Lapid are not without hope that they can keep the situation from getting out of hand. First, they can seek to hold Biden to his promise about keeping disputes with Israel private, rather than letting them play out in public as Obama did. If so, even the most bitter of disagreements won't seem quite so bad. Second, they can hope that Israel's enemies will, as they have so often in recent history, overplay their hand and force Biden's team back into Israel's corner. Palestinian rejectionism and support for terror, and Iran's will to achieve its nuclear ambitions--as well as its assessment that Biden is too weak to stop them from achieving any of their goals--could ultimately prove decisive. Lastly, they may also count on the dysfunction of the Biden administration. In the past nine months, the Democrats have made a muddle of a host of challenges, including the disaster in Afghanistan, the crisis at the southern border, the collapse of the supply chain for products and economic malaise that, along with the coronavirus pandemic, won't go away. These issues have sent Biden's polling numbers deep underwater, despite beginning his presidency with a vast store of goodwill and support from those who hoped he represented a calming influence and competence. Unlike Obama, who had political capital to burn on futile Middle East policies and a pointless feud with Netanyahu, Biden has none to spare. Israelis can only hope that he is wise enough not to waste any on equally foolish spats with whoever is running Israel in the coming years--whether Bennett, Lapid or Netanyahu--that will do nothing to ensure American security priorities or the political prospects of the Democrats. Whether such hopes are vindicated is up to Biden and not his Israeli interlocutors. In 2022, “Things Aren’t Gonna Get Done” On An Absolutely Massive Scale - by Michael Snyder - http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/in-2022-things-arent-gonna-get-done-on-an-absolutely-massive-scale/ Are we about to witness one of the greatest self-inflicted economic wounds in history? Vaccine mandate deadlines are starting to arrive, and large numbers of very qualified people are losing their jobs as a result. Of course this comes at a very bad time, because we are already in the midst of the most epic worker shortage in U.S. history. Despite the biggest hiring push that I have ever seen in my entire lifetime, businesses all over America are still desperate for workers. The funny thing is that lots of available workers should theoretically be out there somewhere. The number of Americans that are currently working is still about five million less than the peak that was hit just before the pandemic arrived. So where did all of those missing workers go? That is a question that we desperately need an answer for, because millions of workers seem to have evaporated from the system. Now the vaccine mandates are going to make things far worse, because millions of Americans that are actually good at their jobs are going to be ruthlessly terminated, and finding replacements for them is going to be exceedingly difficult. For instance, you can’t just pull guys off the street and have them fly planes. Very soon, large numbers of pilots will be sent packing on a permanent basis, and pilots for American Airlines gave us a taste of what is coming by engaging in a “sick out” over the weekend… American Airlines canceled another 634 flights on Sunday, more than 12% of its total operations for the day, the company said Sunday. The airline has now canceled more than 1,500 flights since Friday, as it deals with weather issues and staffing shortages that started last week. Of course American Airlines is trying to blame “the weather” for these canceled flights, but everyone knows what is really going on. And I greatly applaud the pilots for taking a stand. If these airlines don’t reverse their mandates, pretty soon we will have widespread air travel headaches on a permanent basis in this nation. In New York City, Friday was the deadline for municipal workers to get vaccinated, and more than 26,000 of them have refused to comply… Twenty-six percent of municipal employees in New York City were still unvaccinated following a Friday deadline that mandated workers get the COVID-19 vaccine. A significant jump in vaccinations occurred among city employees due to the deadline, the city said, according to The Associated Press, but more than 26,000 workers have not uploaded proof of their vaccination status and face unpaid leave as a result. Moving forward, all of the work that those 26,000 workers used to do simply will not get done. Already, a total of 26 fire companies have had to be completely shut down… The FDNY shuttered 26 fire companies citywide on Saturday due to staff shortages caused by the COVID-19 vaccination mandate, according to furious elected officials, who ripped the move as “unconscionable” — and warned it could have catastrophic consequences. So will this cost lives? Of course it will. In fact, a seven-year-old boy just died in an apartment fire… A seven-year-old boy died and his grandmother was seriously injured in an apartment fire in New York City as the FDNY deals with staff shortages in response to a vaccine mandate. Firefighters responded to a 1:30 a.m. call Saturday at a building in Washington Heights, where fire broke out in the building superintendent’s basement apartment. First responders quickly contained and extinguished the fire. Meanwhile, trash is starting to pile up around the city at a very alarming rate… Trash bags can be spotted all over the Midwood neighborhood of Brooklyn, where some residents said that it has been days since their trash was last picked up. A few said they realized something was off earlier in the week, as one missed pickup happens, but they started to think there was a problem after the second missed time. On both residential streets and commercial areas, the trash bags on the sidewalk are piled several feet high in some instances. One resident who has lived in the area for about 40 years said she has never seen the area as dirty as has been the past few days. So what is the city going to look and smell like in a few months once we get into the early portion of 2022? The sad thing is that none of this had to happen. The vaccine mandates are absurd, and they are going to cause enormous problems all over the country. Countless supply chain workers are going to be pulled out of our supply chains in the coming months, and we are already facing painful shortages from coast to coast… Supermarket chains are revamping their operations to navigate persistent product shortages, expanding storage space and curbing discounts to make sure they don’t run out. Companies are planning for shortages of popular brands of food and staples to continue for months and managers are trying to keep up as different products run short from week to week, industry executives said. A lot of Americans are still expecting these shortages to go away eventually, but Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is now admitting that there will be supply chain problems “as long as the pandemic continues”… Transport Secretary Pete Buttigieg says the supply chain crisis will continue at least until the COVID-19 pandemic ends amid fears of shortages ahead of the winter holidays. ‘There are definitely going to continue to be issues, especially as long as the pandemic continues,’ Buttigieg told Fox News Sunday. ‘If you have, for example, the third-largest container port in the world in China shutting down because of a COVID outbreak in late summer you’ll feel that in the fall here on the West coast.’ Of course there is no end in sight for the pandemic. The virus is constantly mutating, and any immunity to it is very temporary. So just like the common cold and the flu, COVID will be with us indefinitely. If Biden administration officials want to reverse recent polling trends, they better find a way to address our supply chain issues, because right now their numbers are really dismal. Here is just one example… “Americans have lost their confidence in President Joe Biden and their optimism for the country.” That, according to Chuck Todd, is the top takeaway from a just-released NBC News poll out Sunday. Breaking down the numbers on Meet the Press, Todd pointed to data from the survey that he deemed “shocking.” “Just 22 percent of adults say [the U.S. is] headed in the right direction,” Todd reported. “A shocking 71 percent say we’re on the wrong track.” The only surprise from that survey is that there are 22 percent of Americans that are still gullible enough to have a positive outlook. The Democrats have cooked up a recipe for national suicide, and they are setting the stage for so many of the things that I warned about in my latest book. If Joe Biden had any sense, he would rescind all nationwide vaccine mandates immediately. But he isn’t going to do that. And major cities like New York and Los Angeles are not going to rescind their mandates either. So “things are not gonna get done” on an absolutely massive scale in 2022, and we will all suffer deeply as a result. I Will Fight On - By Dennis Huebshman - https://www.raptureready.com/2021/10/31/i-will-fight-on-by-dennis-huebshman/ The title of this message should be the battle cry of all true believers worldwide. In John 16:33, Jesus said, “I have said these things to you that in Me, you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (ESV, all emphasis mine) Jesus was preparing for His glorification for our sake by taking our sin punishment on a cruel cross outside Jerusalem. I make this personal and say, He took My Sins! Here we have the one fully human – yet still fully God – that was willing to suffer agony and shed His pure, sinless blood to appease the Father’s need for a perfect sin sacrifice. John 10:11 and 18 tells us, “I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep…. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I received from My Father.” At any given time during His stay on this earth, Our Savior could have decided we weren’t worth the effort and could have left us to our own resources. That would have guaranteed that Heaven would be empty of human souls, as no one could ever make an acceptable sin sacrifice to our Heavenly Father. As it is, even at the creation of this earth, God knew He would have to give us a gift that was far more valuable than all the riches this earth holds. One precious drop of our Savior’s blood sealed our pardon. This is for any and all who will receive and accept His gift, and Jesus shed His perfect blood as a “one-time” sacrifice for all of us. For those pre-Calvary, His blood reached back to cover all the saints that had been faithful and in the will of God. From Calvary forward, it has covered and will cover all those who are in Christ and have a relationship with Him. Hebrews 10:4 states, “For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sin.” Isaiah 53:5, “But He was wounded for our transgressions; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes, we are healed.” Isaiah and all the Old Testament prophets were looking for the arrival of the Messiah, but it was a lot of years after they died that Jesus came to earth. Matthew 13:17; “For truly I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, and did not see it; and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.” What we’ve been seeing take place today is nearly a word-for-word description from the Bible of events that would be happening just before the end of this age. Some people say these things have always been there, and to a degree, that’s true. However, the intensity of the evil, famines, weather patterns, and hate in this world are all present at the same time as never before. For those who believe otherwise, it will not get any better. We definitely have the “scoffers” of 2 Peter 3:3-4 among us today. Believers in Jesus are being labeled as “haters” because we do not accept the lifestyles that God called abominations. This does not mean we do not love our brothers and sisters; we just don’t like what they do. Jesus felt the same way about the radical religious leaders of His day. He loved them all for their immortal souls, but He just wouldn’t accept their heresy. Continuing in our faith is to put all our trust in our Heavenly Father. God does not walk away from those who have Jesus as their Savior, even though there are times of persecution here. In 2008, Dale and Cheryl Golden (The Goldens) released a song called “I Will Fight On.” The example it gives is of a shepherd boy (David) trusting in God, and with just a sling and some stones, he went against a seasoned giant warrior and ultimately defeated him. Their songs can be found on YouTube. 1.) A shepherd boy stood all alone, his weapon but five little stones. In faith he fought with spirit strong, while in his heart, rang Zion’s song. Ref) I will fight on till the battle’s o’er, and the enemy shall rise no more. I will trust in God and God alone. I shall not lose heart, and I will fight on. 2.) The wounds of life cut cold and deep, and triumph’s mount is harsh and steep. The shepherd’s Lord is My God too, and I know He will see me through. (ref) 3.) No earthly fall can hinder me, for with God, there’s righteous victory. I will trust in God and God alone. I will trust in God, and I will fight on. (ref) One line that stands out is “The shepherd’s Lord is My God too.” David did not lead a sinless life, and the Bible tells of his good deeds and also his sinful ones. One reason he stayed in the Father’s favor was that he took responsibility for the times he did sin and fall short. He would seek forgiveness from the Father, and it was granted. Another youth in the Bible that put his faith in the Lord lived before David’s time, and that was Joseph. His brothers were so jealous of him that they sold him into slavery and told their father that wild animals had killed him. Joseph could’ve sunk into total despair and probably would not have survived very long without divine protection. But God had plans for Joseph, and it was obvious He was given some special attention. Joseph was “bought” by one of Pharaoh’s officers, Potiphar. Joseph proved himself to be loyal and trustworthy, and Potiphar made him overseer of all that he had. Even when tempted by his owner’s wife, Joseph proved himself worthy by refusing to submit. When he was falsely accused and thrown into prison, God saw to it that Joseph found favor with the jailers. After a period of time, Joseph was brought before Pharaoh and interpreted some dreams for him. He was subsequently made to be second-highest authority in all of Egypt. All this did not take place overnight. It was about 13 years from the time Joseph was sold until his appearance before Pharaoh. In Genesis 41:46, we see Joseph was 30 years old when he entered the service of Pharaoh. Then he was ruler for over 7 years before he was reunited with his brothers. During all the time Joseph was a “slave,” and then all the time when he was a ruler, he never turned away from God. He had hardships and was even separated from his family for an extended period of time. However, he remained righteous. When the time came that he could have “punished” his brothers, he forgave them instead. This example was also used by our Savior at Calvary when He asked the Father to forgive those crucifying Him. Through all the changes taking place today, and the obvious increase in evil all around us, it’s understandable that some become discouraged and lose their faith in our Heavenly Father. Some forget that God’s timing is different than ours, and He knows the exact second that He will send our Savior to take us Home. God has not forgotten about us, and He even provided all the signs we would be seeing just before the Trumpet sounds and the shout comes from the archangel. I assure you, I am about as impatient as anyone; yet, I believe the experts when they state our leaving here is imminent. That is, for the ones who have received and accepted the gift Jesus gave us that’s paid for in full. With all the satanic activity present, and with all the false prophets that are now “teaching” in previously Bible-based evangelical churches, our faith should be given encouragement by the true word of the Father. In 1 John 2 through 5, we’re told that false prophets and antichrists would increase near the end of this age. Jesus Himself said there would be a falling away from the true faith. As Joshua 24:15 states, “… as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” I don’t anticipate any return to what we thought was normal, but “I Will Fight On” anyway. I will continue to encourage others with the simple ABCs of Salvation. A – admit we’re all sinners; B – believe Jesus is the only way to Salvation; and C – call on the name of the Lord and be saved. For the scriptures that cover these, see Romans 3:10; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; John 14:6; Romans 8:1 and Romans 10:9-13. Next, go to Ephesians 2:8-9 to be assured that it is by grace we are saved, not of any works. God does not want anyone to fail and is waiting to forgive all who will repent and accept His Son (2 Peter 3:9). However, for any who refuse the gift, and all who will take their last breath on earth without Jesus as their Savior, they will go through the White Throne Judgment of Revelation 20:11-15. There is no hope at that event. There is no special time of the day, no special place, no rehearsed statements to make in order to call on Jesus. He is waiting to hear from you and ready to accept all who truly call out to Him to forgive them. Just talk to Him as a friend asking forgiveness, as He’s the absolute best Friend you will ever have. Please call today, right now, as tomorrow could be too late. Then you will be ready to rise up to meet Him in the air at any time. Maranatha! [email protected] Daily Jot: Truth vs Tyranny - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com Truth is a very powerful ideal. Christ said in John 8:31-32, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Abiding in Christ’s word provides wisdom, discernment, love, and life as well as assists in preventing deception, fear, hate, and down right stupidity. That is, if Christ’s word is truly applied to one’s life, but as we all know some people who say they are disciples of Christ are foolish, gullible and lazy with their discernment. In today’s world, we are constantly challenged with tyranny over truth. Christians, however, are called to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth. This means we are to occupy till the Lord’s return by exemplifying Christ. As we live our lives, we are faced with choices that move us either closer to truth or to tyranny, for the devil and his principalities steal, kill and destroy while Christ is come that you may have abundant life. In America, the founders provided a Constitution that established the principles of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. As Benjamin Franklin said that we have a Republic if we can keep it, the founders also placed on each of us, as Christ has, a responsibility to choose life, and in that choice, life’s abundant gift of freedom and truth. A choice. In day to day life, this means that an action is required. Abiding in the Word takes action and responsibility. Maintaining and preserving freedom for yourself and your posterity also requires action and responsibility. We must learn again to think and act on principle not narratives. It is our responsibility. The responsibility, for example, requires us to be informed of the truth—not what you want to believe, but the truth. This takes discernment. For example, the Democrats wanted banks to report your every transaction of $600 or more to the IRS. Many people objected. So now the Democrats want banks to report only your transactions totaling $10,000 or more over an entire year. Do the math. That means they want the IRS to know every transaction you averaging over $833—they just changed the narrative to make it sound better. Or how about the government mandating COVID shots? The courts may require religious or medical exemptions. There has been, however, a longstanding Constitutional principle of autonomy where the government can’t force you to put something in your body. Exemptions are just a way to codify mandates. Every citizen who took the COVID shot voluntarily, those who refuse the shot, and those who have had COVID and have natural antibodies should stand together against a mandate, not accept the soft tyranny that mandates are fine if exemptions are provided. Those set on stealing, killing and destroying will stop at nothing to take your life, compress, enervate, and extinguish it, until we are reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and deceived sheep, of which the government is the shepherd. And in all that, the Word of God and its promise of truth, freedom and abundant life are frustrated with bondage. In this country, as with the Lord, freedom comes with responsibility and those who shirk it are the weak links who allow the deadly acid of bondage to erode every citizen’s life and liberty. Think about it. Take a stand. Daily Devotion: Acquainted with Grief - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org He was despised and rejected — a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. —Isaiah 53:3 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/acquainted-with-grief/ - Listen During His time on Earth, Jesus experienced the full gamut of human emotion. He felt joy. He felt sorrow. And He felt anger. Yes, Jesus got angry. He made a whip and drove the moneychangers out of the temple in Jerusalem. And He also was angry after Lazarus died. John’s gospel tells us, “When Jesus saw [Mary] weeping and saw the other people wailing with her, a deep anger welled up within him, and he was deeply troubled” (11:33 NLT). Was Jesus angry with Mary or her sister, Martha? No. Was He angry with the people who were with Mary and Martha? No. Jesus was angry with death itself. He was angry that this had to happen. Not only was Jesus angry, but we see another emotion of His in this passage. John tells us, “Then Jesus wept. The people who were standing nearby said, ‘See how much he loved him!’” (verses 35–36 NLT). Death breaks God’s heart just as it breaks our hearts. This serves as a reminder that Jesus weeps with us in our times of pain. Does that surprise you? We might think that God is indifferent, that He’s disconnected, and that He doesn’t really care. But Jesus was and is God. Jesus was God walking among us as a man. So if you want to know what God is like, look at Jesus. When we’re in pain, He feels that pain as well. Jesus, according to Isaiah 53, “was despised and rejected—a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief” (verse 3 NLT). Jesus bore your sins, but He also carried your sorrows. So if it hurts you, it affects Him. If it causes you pain, He cares. Jesus wept. That says a lot about how He looks at us and cares about us. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ.
