Concerning life during evil times, Paul said, “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Eph. 5:16-17). Do not let the corruption of this world distract you, be thoughtful, walk wisely, walk in the will of God, and use the time you have left to serve Him. Here are some reasons to believe the days are evil. One, concerning Israel’s recent war with Hamas and the Palestine Islamic Jihad, here are a few things that caught my attention:

Two, Since the rocket bombardments stopped, Biden said he will give Gaza $338 million, Pres. el-Sisi of Egypt said he will give $500 million to rebuild Gaza, and Qatar pledged $360 million (almost $1.2 billion so far). Why shouldn’t Hamas go to war if world leaders reward them like that? Of course, some always say the money helps the Palestinian people. In my neck of the woods, people call that “Hog Wash” (blarney, a lie, nonsense, stupidity, etc.). Past history shows that most of the money given to help the Palestinians always seems to wind up in the hands of terrorists, and most of it is used not to help the Palestinians but to finance future terrorist attacks on Israel. Three, concerning the Great Reset, on May 19, 2021, LifeSiteNews posted an Apr. 9, 2021, interview with retired Roman Catholic Archbishop Carlo Vigano. In my words, Vigano said:
Four, concerning the tracking of all buying and selling, on May 24, 2021, it was reported that the Federal Reserve expects a money system similar to a digital dollar to be ready for use by the general public in two years. Five, concerning a falling away from the faith in the U.S., on May 20, 2021, it was reported that an Arizona Univ. Cultural Research Center found that 43% of Millennials (18-36) and 31% of Gen Xers (37-54) do not know or care whether God exists. Only 40% of those that are 55 or older are believed to be born again. Concerning this, Dr. George Barna said, “The influence of the Christian church has diminished while the influence of arts, entertainment, and news media has exploded.” In conclusion, walk wisely, the days are evil, and you should not want to be embarrassed when Jesus returns. Six, concerning election fraud, on May 25, 2021, it was reported that radio host John Fredericks said Judge Amero could decertify the Georgia election if it is found that votes were counted twice. If Fredericks is right, the struggle to get this fraud to the U.S. Supreme Court could tear this nation apart. Finally, if you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this. [email protected] Gaza As A Military Testing Ground for Iran – Jacques Neriah - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=4754 Upon examining the course of the 11-day war between Israel and terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip, one cannot help but understand that it was a rehearsal for what is expected on Israel's northern front. Gaza was a military testing ground for Iran and Hezbollah. They were able to measure Israel's firepower, its interception capability and the limitations of its power, as expressed by the almost irrational care taken to avoid harm to population centers. Israel's concern for innocent lives was born out of the fear of the world's reaction, its dependence on the United States and the drift that undermined Israel's position in world public opinion, especially among the U.S. Democratic Party. Decision-makers in Israel, as well as politicians, army officers and academics, often repeat a statement attributed to the Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. He allegedly said after leaving his bunker following the 2006 Second Lebanon War that had he known that his decision to provoke Israel would cause such destruction, he would not have started the war at all. Accordingly, analysts conclude time and again that Hezbollah's failure to act stems from Israeli deterrence. Since 2006, Hezbollah has embarked on an unprecedented reorganization and re-arming effort with Iranian funding and training, while accumulating a rocket arsenal of more than 140,000 missiles, some of which possess extremely high accuracy. (By contrast, Hamas in Gaza had an estimated 15,000 rockets when it launched its war in May 2014.) Hezbollah analyzed Hamas's battles against the IDF and will adopt a doctrine of warfare adapted to the new reality. Hezbollah has also publicly announced its plan to capture the Galilee by mobilizing its elite units--the Radwan units--for the construction of a network of underground assault tunnels, command bunkers, and an extensive maze of fortifications of which only a fraction was exposed some two years ago on the Lebanese border and subsequently neutralized by the IDF. Hezbollah has developed its drone corps and naval units, that are prepared to attack Israel's gas rigs southwest of Lebanon's coast. In addition, as Iran's proxy force in the region, its combat units have gained valuable operational experience in urban warfare fighting in Syria, Iraq and Yemen, where it was sent by its commanders in Tehran. All of the above elements have been implemented in the Gaza Strip by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. It comes as no surprise, therefore, to discover that Iran is behind the Palestinian war effort. Ramez Halabi, a senior member of PIJ, was interviewed on Iraqi television on May 8, 2021. He explained that every weapon in his organization's possession was purchased with Iranian funding and that all his men were trained in Iran. Mocking Israel, he added that every missile bears the signature of the late Qassem Soleimani, the Quds Force commander killed by the United States in Iraq in January 2020. After the fighting subsided, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who resides in Qatar, thanked Iran for the financial assistance and weaponry it has extended to Hamas. From the Palestinian perspective, the war proved that the "Israeli demon" was not as frightening as it used to be. In fact, Israel's last military victory was in 1982, which eventually resulted in the withdrawal from southern Lebanon in 2000 under Hezbollah's military pressure. The 2006 war was seen as a Hezbollah victory over Israel, while 2014 demonstrated the extent of Israel's unwillingness to initiate a massive ground entry into the Gaza Strip. Israel's policy of divide and rule with regard to Hamas in Gaza and the Palestinian Authority has boomeranged. The weakening of the P.A. eventually led to the strengthening of Hamas and its becoming the dominant factor vis-à-vis Israel. Furthermore, Hamas realized that Israel had wrongly assessed--until the last minute--that Hamas lacked interest in a military confrontation and was deterred. This assessment is paired with the constantly reiterated statement that Israel has no interest in a ground attack on Gaza in order to bring down Hamas. Thanks to the "Iron Dome," the assessment goes, Israel will content itself with action against Hamas from outside Gaza. The recent confrontation between Israel and Gaza confirmed Israel's reluctance to introduce ground forces into Gaza, both for fear of casualties and due to its lack of desire to control another two million Palestinians. These conclusions are chronicled in Tehran and Hezbollah because the parallel to the situation in Lebanon is self-evident. It does not bode well for Israel that its weaknesses were apparent not only to the Palestinian public but also, and especially, to Hezbollah and Iran, who studied Israel's behavior during the 11 days of fighting. The war in Gaza must serve as a very loud wake-up call and cause Israel to rethink its policy toward its enemies in the Arab world. The rising situation requires a drastic change in Israel's reactions: no more restraint, which is the source of all evil. Continuing the same policy of restraint and the hesitation to use force may encourage Iran and Hezbollah to advance their plans to surprise Israel on other fronts. This could happen if they conclude that Israel will strive to avoid any frontal confrontation with Hezbollah, or a ground incursion that could result in significant casualties by exposing Israel's homefront to significant attacks. If you live in a major city, you can just walk outside and watch it happen right in front of you. Prior to 2020, social decay was steadily eating away at our society, but once the pandemic hit many of our societal problems greatly accelerated. Even while the Federal Reserve was making sure that wealthy Wall Street investors were being taken care of well, poverty and homelessness were absolutely exploding in major cities all over the nation. Meanwhile, an increasing number of Americans have been turning to drugs to cope with their problems, and this has particularly been true in our urban areas. At one time, Washington Square Park in Lower Manhattan was quite lovely, but now it is being described as “lawless” and “drug-infested” because of the hordes of drug addicts that constantly hang out there… A lawless, drug-infested Washington Square Park is horrifying even famously free-spirited Greenwich Village residents. “We may be liberal but this has gone too far,” lamented Steven Hill, who has called the neighborhood home since 1980. “There have always been drugs in the park, mostly pot, but what’s emerged this spring is like nothing we’ve ever seen before.” Just like so many other public spaces in major cities across the country, Washington Square Park is no longer a safe place for families. These days, local residents are kept awake “until the wee hours” by the drug-fueled parties that take place night after night around the central fountain… Washington Square Park’s northwest corner was overtaken in recent months by a crack-and-heroin-filled “drug den,” while boisterous, booze-soaked raves around the central fountain have kept neighbors up until the wee hours and left the historic green space trashed each morning. Of course this sort of activity can be found all over New York City these days. In fact, at this point even Times Square has been virtually taken over by drug addicts and homeless people… Andy Hort, who runs a printing company in Times Square, said he now avoid the area whenever he can. ‘There’s a lot more crime and a lot more drug addicts and vagrants everywhere,’ he told DailyMail.com. ‘In the last three months, I’ve seen three or four people shooting up right in front of me.’ What would you do if you started to see people regularly do heroin right in front of you? Would you move? That is what hundreds of thousands of New York residents have done, but even though so many people have moved out, crime rates in the Big Apple just continue to rise. The days when NYC was one of our safest major cities seem so far away now. According to the latest NYPD data, crime in the city is up 30 percent so far in 2021… In 2021, almost every type of violent crime is on the rise in New York City. According to recent figures from Compstat, the NYPD’s data gathering unit, crime is up 30 percent city wide. At this stage, I don’t know why anyone would still want to live in New York. If you can believe it, even New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is publicly admitting that the city has a “major crime problem”… ‘New Yorkers don’t feel safe and they don’t feel safe because the crime rate is up. It’s not that they are being neurotic or overly sensitive – they are right,’ Governor Andrew Cuomo declared on Wednesday. ‘We have a major crime problem in New York City. Everything we just talked about, with the economy coming back, you know what the first step is? People have to feel safe.’ I write a lot about New York, but city after city all over the country is dealing with the exact same thing. Crime rates are way up from coast to coast, and there is a new mass shooting in the news almost every single day now. The latest one comes to us from Miami… Miami-Dade police are investigating a deadly mass shooting that left two people dead and 20 others injured in what detectives described as a “targeted act of violence.” “This is a despicable act of gun violence,” said Miami-Dade Police Director Freddy Ramirez. “A cowardly act.” According to police, the shooting took place after a birthday party for a local rapper known as ABMG Spitta, birth name Courtney Paul Wilson. The killers were specifically waiting for people to leave that birthday party. It is being reported that “several gunmen sat in a white Nissan Pathfinder SUV in the parking lot for up to 40 minutes”, and when people started to pour out of the banquet hall they jumped into action… Cellphone video shows the chaotic moments after the bullets stopped flying outside El Mula Banquet Hall. Up to 25 people were hit, and two were killed on the scene. People who live nearby heard the barrage of gunfire about 12:30 a.m. near NW 67 Avenue on Miami Gardens Drive. “It was like, ‘Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop,’ and just kept going and then it stopped for a little bit, then it went a little bit more then it stopped,” explained neighbor Gianna Donoso This is what our nation has become. Our streets are soaked with the blood of the innocent, and millions of our young people are completely and totally out of control. These days, it seems like kids are becoming violent at younger and younger ages. Earlier today, I was shocked as I read a news story about a 14-year-old that had stabbed a 13-year-old cheerleader 114 times… Chilling new details have emerged about the fatal stabbing of a 13-year-old cheerleader who was found dead in a wooded area in Northeast Florida on Mother’s Day. On Thursday, State Attorney for the 7th Circuit R.J. Larizza announced during a news conference that Tristyn Bailey was stabbed 114 times while fighting off her killer. He said at least 49 of the stab wounds were to her hands, arms and head and that they were “defensive in nature,” according to local media reports. Nobody can deny that our society is deeply sick, and just about every sort of evil that you can possibly imagine is exploding all around us. If we stay on the path that we are currently on, there is no way that our story is going to end well. As a society, we need to turn around and reverse course immediately. But that isn’t going to happen, is it? We are like the drug addicts in Washington Square Park that just keep coming back for yet another hit. We know that we are literally destroying ourselves, but we are so far gone that most of us don’t even care anymore. The Lost - By Jim Towers - https://www.raptureready.com/2021/05/29/the-lost-by-jim-towers/ I awakened to sweet music playing on my clock radio, as I always do, and I thanked God for the good and complete rest I had just had. Then I opened the blinds to a marvelous morning and asked our Father to direct me to others in need of salvation, prayer or help along life’s way. With the Covid fiasco fading (and other more serious viral infections being perpetrated in other parts of the world), we here in South Florida are now able to get out and about without the government breathing down the back of our necks, and so I took off for my ministry station – the fishing pier. But before I headed there, I bought a can of sardines, crackers, and a coke at a nearby store to have for lunch while at the pier, at the little shelter about halfway to the far end. As I pulled out of the store, there was a sorrowful-looking older woman standing nearby holding a sign made from a cardboard flap that had one word emblazoned across the front – hungry. I stopped and rolled down the window as she came over to the car. The first thing I asked before I handed her the ten-dollar bill was, “Do you need prayer?” She didn’t hesitate. “Do I ever!” and she proceeded to tell me the story of her present condition. I didn’t try to stop her since I know that people in her situation often need solace and someone to listen to their plight. I made the prayer short and sweet (no showboating- it was the right thing to do.) I gave her the money and left her with a smile on her face. And so, I made my way down to my most favorite place in the world, but not without slight trepidation upon bumping into Bill again. Bill is a collector of knives and always has at least two on his person, especially on the pier. The extremely sharp one is to fillet fish with, and He is very deft with that razor-sharp implement. As a matter of fact, I filmed a short video of him a while back filleting a Mackerel with swift and deliberate strokes only a pro could execute. In any case, the last time I talked to Bill, I had paid him a visit at his condo to share the good news of the Gospel with him, and my visit ended with him telling me that he wasn’t interested, as he was reading a treatise written by an atheist on the foolishness of being a believer in Christ. I figured that would be the last I would speak to him and that the next time he might even attack me with his fillet knife since atheists can be a little violent when provoked. But after thinking it over and since it was such a beautiful day, I decided to go to the pier anyway. So off I went. After finishing my lunch, I got up to make my way toward the other end of the pier, looking down over the railing at the beautiful blue water as I made my way slowly, hoping to spot a fish or two. (I once saw a three-hundred-pound grouper come up and swallow a smaller fish whole. It was the biggest fish I ever saw.) All at once, I heard a familiar voice call out, “HEY JIM, where have you been?” There was Bill, standing in front of me. “Come sit with me,” he implored. So, I sat with him on one of the many benches that dot the pier. “Bill, how have you been?” I asked. “The day after I saw you when you visited me, I was admitted into the hospital. I was there for days…. I thought I was dying. It’s so good to see you!” I couldn’t help but believe God was trying to get his attention after our little visit. We shared pleasantries and said our goodbyes, but just before he left, I asked if he would like me to pray for him. He responded with, “I may be an atheist, but I’ll take a prayer anytime.” (Actually, I think he’s an agnostic.) That’s what I like about being a one-on-one evangelist – the challenge and resulting surprises. Since I love the ministry of reaching out to others, I’ve made a determination that I will also focus on the Millennials after finding that they enjoy listening to me and my encouraging words. (People love talking about themselves, about their hopes and dreams, and I’m garnering younger people as acquaintances as well.) With multitudes dying in their sins and with the upcoming generations having lost all sense of purpose and direction in life, we can only expect that full-blown apostasy will prevail in the days ahead. The nexus to this problem is that with such an attitude and mindset – truly the time of God’s wrath and tribulation period are close at hand. Albeit, we shouldn’t be surprised since so many so-called believers were worshiping idols of flesh and blood and paid little or no attention to the demonic indoctrination that was happening to our prodigy on all sides. Young people cannot think for themselves; their brains aren’t yet fully developed, and they haven’t yet learned from experience the things they will be facing in the future. They need guidance and correction, and we foolishly only gave them encouragement to think for themselves and let them play video games endlessly while taking no thought for tomorrow. This day, we celebrate as Memorial Day, let us have a time to remember. In your reflections, may you remember the sacrifice of our Messiah that we might live free of spiritual bondage. May you remember the blood shed by those valiant men and women who dedicate their lives that we might live free from physical bondage. Remember still those who might try to take both from us. Reflect on how living life may be without such true liberty and what you would do should someone try to take it from you. And they didn’t like it one bit. They wanted the Romans out, and they thought Jesus the Messiah would overthrow the power of Rome. They expected Him to establish His earthly kingdom then and there. In fact, Luke 19:11 tells us, “He [Jesus] spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem and because they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately” (NKJV). The people failed to understand the prophecies in Scripture, which said that before the Messiah would come and rule the earth, He first would come and die for the sins of the world. Before He would sit on the throne, He would go to the cross. So Jesus wasn’t coming to overthrow Rome; He was coming to establish His kingdom in human hearts by dying for us on the cross. This reminds us that when God wants to send a spiritual awakening to a nation, it starts first with His people. God said, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV). Notice that God didn’t say, “If the government will humble themselves . . .” or “If Hollywood will humble themselves. . . .” Rather, God said, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves. . . .” Under George Washington’s leadership during the Revolutionary War, warships displayed flags with an image of a pine tree and the words “An Appeal to Heaven.” Washington understood that our only hope to become a nation was by the intervention of God.
