As the spirit of the antichrist gains more strength in our world each and every day, it helps to remember what Jesus said about the one behind it, the devil himself.
 
In John 8:44, Jesus characterized Satan as “a murderer from the beginning” and “a liar and the father of lies.” The news headlines of our day bear witness to the truth of Jesus’ words. The killing of innocents and deceitfulness go hand in hand.
 
When the disciples asked Jesus about the signs of the end of the age and of His coming, the first words were, “Take heed that no man deceive you” (Matthew 24:4). A little later in the same discourse, the Lord spoke of the great deception that will happen during the Tribulation period (Matthew 24:24):
 
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
 
The Apostle Paul, when he began to speak of the appearance of the antichrist in the last days, echoed the words of Jesus in 2 Thessalonians 2:3, “Let no one deceive you in any way.” A little later in the same chapter, He said this about the coming “man of lawlessness:”
 
The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. (2:9-10).
 
In 1 Timothy 4:1, Paul warned of “deceitful spirits and teachings of demons” that would appear in the last days.
 
Scripture is remarkably clear about this: the time leading up to the seven-year Tribulation, as well as the period itself, will be marked by overwhelming and widespread deception.
 
As we look around us, it’s unmistakable that this has reached epidemic levels, which signifies that we live in the shadow of the coming seven-year Tribulation.
 
THE DUPLICITY OF THE GLOBALISTS
 
We witness the deceitfulness of the powerbrokers in the way they say one thing, but behave in a radically different manner. Below are several examples of their duplicity.
 
In my post, Deadly Delusions: 5 Lies the Globalists Want you to Believe, I demonstrate that while the globalists say they want “democracy and freedom,” their goal is a Marxist Communist state that will enslave the people of the world.
 
The seventeen goals of the UN’s Agenda 2030 unveil their purpose to control the lives of everyone on the planet. The Great Reset of the World Economic Forum presupposes a world swallowed up in chaos and lawlessness from which they can construct a world order that will enslave humanity.
 
The elite repeatedly tell us that their goal is to save the planet. They would have us believe that they care deeply about the environment and thus they instruct us to change our way of life based on this.
 
Do their actions match their words? No, and it’s not even close. Many of the globalists build or purchase mansions on the waterfront; they have no worries about rising sea levels. They fly everywhere in private jets consuming a great amount of fuel and emitting a lot of CO2.
 
I have come to the conclusion that deep state in America is purposely attacking the environment. The train accident in East Palestine, Ohio, is just one of many incidents where trains have spilled hazardous materials into nature during the past several weeks. As I write, there’s a barge carrying methanol that’s slowly sinking into the Ohio River.
 
The growing number of fires at chemical plants is also alarming. The one that happened two years ago, several miles from where I live, appears to be just the beginning of a rash of such incidents around the world.
 
There are far too many fires and “accidents” involving hazardous substances for me to accept that they are all coincidences.
 
The ones crying the loudest to preserve the environment are the ones currently attacking it. (I haven’t yet mentioned the spraying of chemicals into the air to supposedly block the sun.)
 
After every school shooting, the left would have us believe they really care about the safety of our children and that guns are evil. However, they fiercely support the murder of children in the womb, vote against all measures protecting infants who survive abortions, and surround themselves with people carrying guns for their protection while denying that same protection for our school children.
 
Furthermore, how can President Biden call for limitations on guns when he left behind billions of dollars’ worth of far more deadly weapons for the murderous terrorists in Afghanistan?
 
The globalists refer to those who refuse the COVID-19 injections as “murderers” while ignoring the fact these shots have killed and maimed a huge multitude of people. Every day, young adults and teenagers suddenly drop dead as a result of this so-called “vaccine.” Yet the media constantly lies to us by telling us they are safe and effective. They are anything but that.
 
The globalists in the U.S tell us that our economy is strong while at the same time we see banks failing, rampant inflation, and skyrocketing credit card debt as families fall behind trying to keep food on the table. The U.S. dollar faces a serious crisis as nations move away from it in their purchases of oil.
 
I could list several more instances regarding the duplicity of those that seek to control our lives. They clearly represent the spirit of the antichrist.
 
JESUS IS COMING SOON
 
The deception pandemic is but one of many signs pointing to Jesus’ soon appearing to take His Church up to glory. Is it not remarkable how it’s preparing the world for the arrival of the master of deceit himself, the antichrist?
 
In 2 Thessalonians 2:6-8, Paul tells us that this man of lawlessness can’t appear on the world stage until the Restrainer is removed. Most prophecy writers and speakers, along with myself, believe that the Restrainer is the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in New Testament saints. He will not leave the earth when Jesus comes for His Church, but His work at holding back the antichrist, and far worse trickery, will end.
 
World events seem ready to explode with nuclear wars, pestilences, and hyper-inflation. Warnings abound of future deadly earthquakes, the volcano at Yellowstone Park that could potentially kill tens of millions, and the pole shift that could set off a series of cataclysmic events all around the globe that will shock all those not killed in the aftermath.
 
When will the world see the full force of such disasters? I believe the Lord is restraining the onset of these things until He removes His church, and the day of His wrath begins.
 
I’m sure some regard me as the “boy who cried wolf.” However, the Bible says all these catastrophes, and many more, are coming to our world in the future. For now, God is warning those who will listen and providing more time for people to respond to the Gospel and miss the worst time in the history of the world.
 
I would rather warn people and have there be a delay than remain silent and not repeat what Scripture says about the days in which we live.

Shalom from Israel! Sunday night was like no other night I’ve experienced in my life. I was in Tel Aviv to record the audiobook for my upcoming release, Has the Tribulation Begun? From my hotel room, I had a bird’s eye view of tens of thousands of Israelis chanting, waving flags, blocking roads, and causing all sorts of mayhem. My heart broke as I witnessed firsthand the division that has laid siege to my country. Friend against friend, neighbor against neighbor, family member against family member.
 
This is a seminal moment in the history of my nation, Israel. As such, I have decided to make this week’s newsletter a Special Edition focusing on the current crisis. Along with reading what is written below, I would also encourage you to watch my Breaking News Update from Sunday night and my Special Middle East Update: Chaos in Israel from Monday. They both go into far more detail than I am able to provide here. When you have finished reading this special edition newsletter, please forward it on to others you know who have a love for the nation of Israel.
 
This situation in which Israel finds itself is not an overnight development. Despite it seeming as if the nation’s struggles have only come over the past couple of years, the foundations of this divide have been laid over the previous three-and-a half decades. It was at that time that the Israeli judicial system began to go through a revolution. The Supreme Court took more and more powers to themselves to the point that they began making various laws and overturning others.
 
The justification for this judicial overreach was found in the “reasonableness doctrine”. When a case or law is brought before the Supreme Court, they are allowed to ascertain whether or not it could be considered “reasonable” by their own arbitrary standards. This is a lot of leeway, particularly for a liberal, activist court, such as the one that exists in Israel today. The result, according to one pundit I respect, has been that our nation is now ruled by a judicial oligarchy. But if this has been building up for 35 years, why has it suddenly blown up now? It is because Benjamin Netanyahu ran his latest campaign on a platform of judicial reform, and the majority of Israelis voted him back in. Once in office, he sought to fulfill his pledge. The reform bill that he put forth seeks to correct five very obvious problems:
 
1. Remove attorney general overreach. Right now, rather than simply advising the government, the attorney general has the authority to dictate. This corrects his role from boss to adviser.
 
2. Currently, the judiciary has veto power over judge nominations. This has led to generational leftism amongst the judges wherein liberal judges beget liberal judges. The reform will limit the authority over judicial appointments.
 
3. As mentioned above, the “reasonableness doctrine” has given the judiciary the power to arbitrarily override any decision coming out of the administration or the Knesset. Judicial reform will require there be more solid reasoning for striking down a decision than just “we don’t agree with that.”
 
4. Israel does not have a formal constitution. Rather, it has an incremental constitution based on 13 Basic Laws. Judicial reform says that the Supreme Court cannot strike down any of the Basic Laws.
 
5. Judicial reform says that the courts can use Basic Laws to strike down new laws, but only under certain conditions. Those conditions require that all 15 justices must participate in the decision, there must be a supermajority of the justices voting against the law, and the Knesset must have the opportunity to override the decision. It is the third in that list that opponents to reform say will bring the end of democracy in Israel.
 
But don’t let yourself be fooled by the narrative. This is not primarily about Netanyahu’s reforms; it is about Netanyahu himself. The first of his three stints in office began back in 1996. Since then, he has spent more than 15 of the next 26 years in office. Liberals in Israel absolutely loathe Bibi. Think of the level of vitriol the American left feels for the 45th president. Now imagine the absolute meltdown that would take place if he were reelected in 2024. That is what happened in Israel this past November. When the majority of Israelis tossed out the disastrous, liberal “government of change” and instead brought back in conservative Netanyahu, the Left slipped into emotional breakdown. They vowed that one way or another they would bring Netanyahu and his government down, and from day one they were on the attack. Opposing judicial reform is not a root cause for the elite left; it is simply a tactic.
 
Recent Events
 
As the judicial reform began the process of working its way through the Knesset, the Left, funded by billionaires both domestic and foreign, unleashed their well-organized and well-funded resistance troops. The media began a campaign of disinformation that insisted that passing judicial reform meant an end to democracy and an end to Israel. People began buying into it. And it wasn’t just the masses. It was business leaders and people of influence. Generals began saying that they would not support the legislation. Military reservists said that if the reforms passed, they would not obey a call-up in case of national emergency. These included officers and air force pilots. The nation was beginning to erode from within.
 
Then Defense Minister Yoav Gallant took the opportunity of Netanyahu being on a state trip to the UK to announce his opposition to the reform bill. He made the announcement on a Sabbath, when Netanyahu was unable to respond right away, and he did it after promising the prime minister that he wouldn’t. When Netanyahu returned to Israel the next day, he justifiably fired Gallant.
 
Israel exploded. Protesters took to the streets by the tens of thousands. As I mentioned above, I was in Tel Aviv at the time, and watched out my window as they blocked main arteries and brought the city to a standstill. Then, the next day, Monday, the Histadrut union announced an unprecedented and illegal strike that saw 700,000 workers walk off their jobs shutting down airports, hospitals, museums, national parks, malls, government offices, and many more places. The promise was that the strike would continue until the judicial reforms were shelved.
 
One of the signs of strong leadership is to know when you have lost. Israel’s economy has already taken an intentional beating due to actions by the Left, and a protracted fight would only drag it down more. Emotion says to keep fighting to the last man; wisdom says to retreat and regroup. Monday night, Netanyahu accepted a tactical defeat and paused the legislation.
 
In an odd coda to the week’s insanity, US President Joe Biden weighed in on the protests saying that he was concerned about the path Netanyahu’s government was taking with the judicial reform and that he would not be inviting the prime minister to the White House anytime soon. The unusual part was that this statement was made the day after Netanyahu had pulled back the legislation making the president’s words irrelevant and unnecessary. But the sentiment is not surprising. This administration is simply an extension of 44’s, and carries on the antipathy for Israel of that previous president.
 
Ramifications
 
Where does this leave us in Israel? As a nation, we are damaged, possibly irreparably. Internally, we are weakened. The identity that once united us together no longer exists. This is intentional, as the liberal agenda pushes its strategy of globalism and ethnic diversity. They don’t want a Jewish state; they want Europe along the Eastern Mediterranean coast.
 
We are also weakened economically. This too is according to plan. A weakened economy will damage Netanyahu’s government, and when it comes to the Left the ends always justify the means.
 
Finally, we are weakened militarily. The homogenous mindset of the Israeli armed forces is now fractured and its purpose has been politicized. Once the generals and officers said they were willing to put their political agenda over national security, a line was crossed that cannot be uncrossed. And our many enemies have seen it.
 
That leads us to the external ramifications, which are possibly the more dangerous of the two. Every Middle Eastern nation was excitedly covering the protests. They have seen that we are fractured, and it fills them with glee. Iran is now faced with a difficult decision. Do they finally reveal their nuclear program and attack while we are weak? Or do they hold back and simply let us destroy ourselves?
 
Russia, too, sees our debilitated state. Their influence continues to grow in Syria through their blossoming relationship with Iran. Will this be the time that they finally decide to eliminate their primary competitor for the European natural gas market?
 
This is not something that Israel can just bounce back from. Now that Netanyahu has paused the judicial reform, both the Left and the Right are angry. As much as I want him to remain in power, I am afraid that the days of his administration are numbered. And I fear for the government that a pendulum swing away from his conservative agenda might bring.
 
Spiritual Perspective
 
As I watched the protesters outside my hotel window in Tel Aviv, I couldn’t help but think how ready these people were for the coming of the Antichrist. The spirit of delusion is so powerful in this nation. Mentally and spiritually, they are ready for someone to come in promising them peace, telling them that he’ll bring them into the European Union, and assuring them that they are going to be just like every other nation in the world. They’ve forgotten that, historically, every other time Israel has desired to be like all the other nations, it has ended very poorly for us. In Ezekiel 36-37, God promised that He would physically restore the land and the people. However, Israel is not spiritually restored yet, as this last week has so clearly proven. According to Zechariah 13:8-9, two-thirds of the population of my beloved nation will not survive the years ahead. However, to those who do, He promises, “I will bring the one-third through the fire, will refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘this is My people’; and each one will say, ‘The LORD is my God.’”
 
So, there is a blessed hope for Israel. Not one based on government or a prime minister or our military or America or Europe. It is a hope that is grounded in the love, grace, and mercy of the one true God and the promises He has given His people in His Word. So, while I mourn what my country has become, I rejoice in what I know it one day shall be.
 
Prayer
 
Pray for God’s glory to be shown. The words so often repeated to the prophet Ezekiel ring loudly in my ears – “Then they will know that I am the LORD.” That is my greatest desire in the midst of this mess. Pray that Israel’s enemies will not be able to take advantage of our weakness. In the last few months, 150 terror attacks against Israel have been thwarted. Sadly, 15 did succeed. Ask the Lord to keep His protective hand on His people. Pray for peace for Jerusalem and throughout the nation. So often in the past, this prayer has been directed at our external enemies. Now, we must pray for protection from the enemies of righteousness amongst our own people. Pray for wisdom for Prime Minister Netanyahu, his cabinet, and his coalition. These are some uncharted waters they are sailing. They will need the wisdom of Solomon to be able to discern what is the correct path in which to proceed.

Psalm 46:8-11 KJV – “Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.”
 
Like this psalm by the sons of Korah, Isaiah also wrote of a time when the Lord’s House will be established and He will be worshiped above all. People will throng to honor Him on the “Mountain of the Lord.” Wars will have ceased. There will be no more weapons. God will be exalted among the nations (See Isaiah 2:2-4).
 
What kind of wonderful dream is this? Well, it won’t happen during the current age. There is much more that must ensue before this beautiful scene will be realized. The time is coming when there will be a great war such as the world has never seen. It will be a time when the armies of the earth will gather in collective revolt against God and fight against the Lord Jesus Himself!
 
We know that Jesus is the Lamb of God, humble, gentle, meek, silent when accused. But it won’t be the Lamb against whom they will wage their battle. This time He will meet them as the Lion of Judah on the plains of Megiddo, where they will meet their demise.
 
Christians make a huge mistake these days in their efforts to make Christianity appealing by catering to the whims of man and adapting the message to his desires. People want the “ends” (meaning peace and prosperity) but not the “means” that will bring that about. They want peace without the Prince of Peace and they want the Millennium without having to repent. They claim that they want a world in which righteousness dwells, but they want righteousness redefined.
 
Doing the work of the Lord is to bring about a kingdom in which true righteousness dwells, and this can only come about through God bringing disasters unlike anything seen before to this earth (see Zephaniah 1:14-18). When someone believes that wars can cease without God breaking the bow and cutting the spear in two by punishing the wicked, they have essentially dethroned God and taken His place.
 
Our psalm today tells us that God will be exalted among the nations and exalted in all the earth! People don’t want to honor and worship God, because Self has the throne in their hearts. And yet they want to believe that heaven is still in their future someday. Jesus said, “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord’ and do not do the things which I say?” He continues by comparing them to the man who built a house upon the sand without a foundation that was destroyed when the flood came.
 
We need to search our hearts. We must accept God for who He says He is and believe that He will do what He said He would do. Whether one believes it or not, it will come to pass. Merely saying, “Praise the Lord” but not obeying Him is merely to give lip service to Him. The highest praise is seen, not merely sung. Jesus is coming soon, ready or not, and He will break the bow and cut the spear in two and burn the chariots in fire, then we will have peace.
 
But before that, we need to make certain that when we share this beautiful truth with nonbelievers we also warn them of what will come first and not be afraid of their possible rejection. Those “who have an ear to hear” will hear, and their lives will be changed for much better things than they experienced when their own “self” sat upon the throne that rightfully belongs to our Maker.

Think about what's been happening.
 
We're a blink away from world war.
 
There are drugs taking the lives of 100,000 Americans a year – the biggest cause of death of those between 18 and 45.
 
The president of the United States is clearly cognitively challenged. His predecessor, a clear-headed man who was a hero to the nation, was just indicted in New York – unjustly.
 
Crime and lawlessness are reaching astronomical levels.
 
Children are now being "groomed" to receive "gender-affirming care" through mutilation.
 
"Gender dysphoria" seems to be rampant, with perhaps millions of girls thinking they are boys and vice versa.
 
I could go on and on.
 
Yet, what it the world obsessed about? What are the "great scientists" of our age mostly preoccupied by? Climate change. They say we have only a few years until it catches up with us and the world become virtually uninhabitable. We're on the verge of a climate apocalypse, they say.
 
The latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report, published this week, prompted a typically dire response in the media and beyond.
 
"It's our last chance to limit global warming before climate-change damage becomes irreversible," the panel reported.
 
The media and their Big Tech bosses take this threat as if it is the gospel truth. It cannot be countered by logic or debate.
 
So we're building windmills furiously. We're replacing our gas stoves. Once the greatest energy producer in the world, the United States, is seemingly dropping it altogether. Electric cars are du jour, replacing gasoline. Pipelines for gas and gasoline are being destroyed because activists claim that our extinction is just a few short years away.
 
When you ask how seriously down-to-earth people take climate change, it doesn't even make the list of top concerns. In the U.S., most people list their top concerns sensibly – given the outrageous problems we face.
 
It's the elites, the politicians, the Democrats who seem to be deluded. For instance, at the COP26 gathering in Glasgow in 2021, then-Prime Minister Boris Johnson declared that British innovators during the Industrial Revolution were the original perpetrators of climate sin – and that Glasgow was the source of the climate crisis.
 
"It was here, in Glasgow 250 years ago, that James Watt came up with a machine that was powered by steam, that was produced by burning coal," Johnson said. "And yes, my friends, we have brought you to the very place where the doomsday device began to tick."
 
No wonder some eco-radicals claim that Britain should pay reparations for the Industrial Revolution, even though it was a giant leap forward not just for Britons, but for mankind the world over.
 
Is this climate-change hysteria a conspiracy? None dare call it that, but surely it is. It can be tracked back to the last century. It began to take root to the first Earth Day, which I took part in as a naïve high schooler in April 1970. There was no Environmental Protection Agency back then. There was no Clean Air Act. There were virtually no legal or regulatory mechanisms to protect our environment. Sen. Gaylord Nelson, a Democrat from Wisconsin, created Earth Day, which began it all.
 
But green apocalypticism is a deeply anti-human narrative. By casting the achievements of humanity as sinful, it deprives us of many of our sources of strength and hope. That's why it must be resisted. We should look around us, and over our shoulder, at the enormous ingenuity and resourcefulness human beings have shown in the past.
 
This effort is one of the greatest threats we face. Today its adherents boast the glitterati of globalism – Bill Gates, Jamie Dimon, Barack Obama, WEF's Klaus Schwab, French President Emmanuel Macron, former Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
 
These are the "geniuses" who steer the movement.
 
They don't have a worry about what's really taking place in our world today.
 
But merrily we march off and try to solve non-problems – like climate change, which we've always had. But now it has become our most important, dire "crisis" that cannot be tackled without grave consequences – and lots of death.

My visit to the Gila River Indian Reservation in 1962 left an impression. As a cowboy, and all things cowboy, that visit was unnerving. Uncle Junior, my Mom’s brother, had made arrangements for us to visit the Indian school there. When I heard that I asked, “they have a school to teach how to be an Indian?” Everybody laughed, except me. As it turns out the first Indian school was established by the US government on the Gila River Indian Reservation for the Pimas and Maricopas in 1871 and Reverend Charles Cook was the teacher. It was an actual school like the one I went to in Paris, Ohio. I had my doubts. I truly thought that once they found out I was a cowboy that they would scalp me. I reluctantly went along.
 
At first, I kind of hid behind my parents. But as the tour went on, it was obvious that this school was pretty amazing. The teachers introduced me to their students and they treated me like one of them. We talked and asked questions about each other. They even taught me how to do the Eagle Dance, a dance for divine intervention because they believed Eagles carried messages to God. All in all, that day changed my entire view of the Native American. I learned that day to find out for myself before letting others prejudice my opinions or stoke my fears. Those kids were just like me, but in a different culture. Being young and impressionable, I went on an all-out commitment. I was into everything about Indians.
 
I brought some of their culture to my school by doing the Eagle Dance and sharing my experiences about the Indians. Playing cowboys and Indians had a whole new direction. Johnny West and Chief Cherokee became friends instead of foes. If the kids in school wanted to know anything about the Indians, they would ask me. No longer were we fighting the scalpers, we were just fighting bad guys, whatever they looked like. But then it got out of hand. My friends and I started this weird thing. I would hold my left arm straight like I was holding a bow. And pull an imaginary arrow out of my imaginary quiver, load up the bow, pull back the string and shoot it. This would start a chain reaction of several of my friends in class. All this was done behind the teacher’s back. When she turned around, we all suddenly stopped.
 
The rest of the class would laugh. Then when she was facing the chalkboard, it started over again. She caught on and out-drew us by turning around quickly. I was held up as the ring leader and got sent to the hallway. Not a place one wanted to be because the principal, Mr. Baldwin, was like the Ichabod Crane of Paris School. He would be inclined to take you up to his office and paddle you, then ask why you were in the hall. And sure enough, I heard his big wing-tips echoing down the hall. He turned the corner and I smiled and enthusiastically waved as if I was on an errand. He nodded and walked off. Psalm 127:4 says, “Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.” Not so much are kids with imaginary quivers of arrows in the classroom.

Isaac came to his parents, Abraham and Sarah, much later in life. They were far beyond the age of childbearing. Yet God gave them a son as He had promised. And Isaac, whose name means “laughter,” brought much joy to Abraham’s life.
 
But one day God asked the impossible of Abraham. He said, “Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you” (Genesis 22:2 NLT).
 
Of course, we know how the story ends. God did not actually require that. He was testing Abraham. As they were making their way up to the place of sacrifice, Isaac asked his father where the sacrificial lamb was. Abraham replied prophetically, “God will provide a sheep for the burnt offering, my son” (verse 8 NLT).
 
Most commentators believe that Isaac was probably between eighteen and twenty years old. So, Isaac could have said, “Now Dad, wait. The way I’m seeing this is that you’re going to offer me as a sacrifice. But I’m young. I have my whole life ahead of me!”
 
However, verse 8 continues, “And they both walked on together.” To Isaac’s credit, he went along with the plan. Father and son were in cooperation.
 
This is a perfect picture of what happened at the cross of Calvary. Even the area where Abraham prepared to offer Isaac was where Jesus died for us on the cross.
 
Yes, Jesus willingly went to the cross, but let’s also remember that God the Father sent Him. The Father had to watch His Son suffer. The Father had to watch as His Son was beaten beyond human recognition.
 
Father and Son were in cooperation. The Father sent His Son. And the Son willingly went.
