Each year, the end of summer means the Jewish High Holy Days are just around the corner. Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year), Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), and Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) are upon us. These Fall feasts are very meaningful to the Jewish people and have great significance, prophetically speaking. When we look at Leviticus 23, we can see all the feasts of the Lord given to the children of Israel in a particular order. All six feasts (or seven feasts, since some people separate Passover and Unleavened bread) are called yearly convocations and are divided into two distinct categories: Spring Festivals • Pesach – Passover: Leviticus 23:4-8 • First Fruits: Leviticus 23:9-14 • Shavuot – Pentecost: Leviticus 23:15-21 Fall Feasts • Rosh Hashanah: Leviticus 23:23-25 • Yom Kippur: Leviticus 23:26-32 • Sukkot: Leviticus 23:33-44 We can also derive a prophetic significance from these festivals, as they pertain to the redemptive career of Yeshua the Messiah. This can be both a blessing AND a curse depending on how we establish the prophetic connection and how much we assume. The study of biblical prophecy can suffer from friends and foes, and yet, it is critical that as modern-day disciples of Yeshua, we study the prophetic words of the Bible. The connections exist, and they are strong. The Spring Festivals have been fulfilled by the First Coming of Yeshua the Messiah: • Passover: Leviticus 23:4-8 – Death of the Messiah (Isaiah 53:5-8; 1 Corinthians 5:7-8) • First Fruits: Leviticus 23:9-14 – Resurrection of the Messiah (1 Corinthians 15:14, 17, 20-24) • Pentecost: Leviticus 23:15-21 – Birth of the Body of Messiah (Exodus 19:1, 3-8, Acts 2:1-4) Prophetically speaking, these festivals are behind us, and there are three more to look forward to. They are known as the Fall Feasts and, The Fall Feasts will be fulfilled at the Second Coming of Yeshua the Messiah: • Rosh Hashanah: Leviticus 23:23-25 – The Regathering of the Saints (Isaiah 27:12-13 – 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians. 15:15-58) • Yom Kippur: Leviticus 23:26-32 – The Great Tribulation (Ezekiel 36:24-25; Zechariah 13:8-9, 12:10, 2 Corinthians 5:10) • Sukkot: Leviticus 23:33-44 – The Ingathering of the Messiah and the Believers (John 7:38-39, 8:12; Zechariah 14:16-19; Matthew 17:4) Based on several biblical reasons–the Levitical Feasts of the Lord not being the least of them–I adhere to a pre-tribulational, pre-millennial view of the end times. In other words, Rosh Hashanah comes before Yom Kippur, which comes before Sukkot, so logically and biblically, we can look at the Regathering of the Believers, the Great Tribulation and the Millennial Kingdom in that order. These connections can be made on a biblical foundation, but how does that help us with the timing of the Rapture, or does it? More books, articles and videos have been produced to prove that the Rapture will take place on Rosh Hashanah that I can count. There is no doubt that people are very interested in the Rapture, and they should, but can a date be set? The extent to which people go to calculate the date of the Rapture is mind-boggling. Let’s try to connect some dots. • Connection between Rosh Hashanah and the Rapture: The Blowing of the Trumpet in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 — Paul’s Jewish audience couldn’t have known about the trumpets of Revelation since the book had not been written when he addressed the Corinthians. They would know about the last trumpet of Rosh Hashanah, known as the “Tekiah Gedolah.” When God brings an end to the Church age–which is the fulfillment of the interval of several months between Shavuot and Rosh Hashanah (Leviticus 23:22)–He will send Yeshua to gather the saints (dead and alive.) Shofars were used to call to battle, announce a new moon or call a gathering of people. So, there is a thematic connection between the Last Trump and the Rapture since it will be the time chosen by God to regather the Saints to Himself. • Assumption between Rosh Hashanah and the Rapture: Because of the Last Trumpet connection, many have come to place the Rapture on Rosh Hashanah, using other “proofs” from numerology, Talmudic writings and other sources. Could the Rapture happen on Rosh Hashanah? ABSOLUTELY! But, if it does, it will not be BECAUSE it is Rosh Hashanah, but because that will be the day God has picked in His infinite wisdom. If we seek passages about Yeshua’s return to get us, we cannot find a specific date, so the Rapture is signless. Nothing needs to happen before the Rapture takes place…NOTHING! We know that Yeshua is preparing a home for us and that He will return to get us all as we read in John 14:3. Yet, the Bible doesn’t tell us when by date, but it tells us that it will be before Yom Kippur since Rosh Hashanah always comes ten days before the Day of Atonement. Rabbis teach that the fate of all Jews is decided on Yom T’ruah (The Day of Trumpets), but it isn’t sealed until Yom Kippur. This is a time of introspection and repentance when Jewish people go out of their way to seek forgiveness from anyone they might have hurt throughout the year. The sabbath that falls within these ten days is known as Shabbat Shuvah (the Sabbath of repentance.) An event in Yeshua’s redemptive ministry doesn’t have to happen on the exact day of a feast to fulfill that feast, but the event’s meaning and symbolism suffice to fulfill one of the Levitical feasts. That will be true for the Rapture, the Tribulation and the Millennial Kingdom. If Rosh Hashanah, the Great Tribulation and the Millennial Kingdom are the fulfillment of the last three Fall feasts, while they do not require to happen on the exact day of each feast–but they could–they still will occur in the immutable order of the feasts found in Leviticus 23: Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot…That we know! So, the real question is not “When will the Rapture take place?” but, “When the Rapture takes place, am I going to be taken up or left behind?” If you have placed your trust in the death and resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah for your sins, you have eternal life in God’s presence and YOU WILL BE RAPTURED. Don’t speculate on dates that cannot be calculated, but invest your time in boldly sharing our hope in Yeshua with the lost. You never know… The Rapture could happen before, during, or after Rosh Hashanah, but after it happens, our influence on those who don’t know Yeshua will be gone. It must mobilize the political commitment and breakthroughs our world desperately needs. It must deliver a rescue plan for people and planet. At the center of this rescue plan, Heads of State and Government must recommit to seven years of accelerated, sustained, and transformative action, both nationally and internationally, to deliver on the promise of the SDGs. Leaders can show their resolve by adopting an ambitious and forward-looking political declaration at the SDG Summit and presenting global and national commitments for SDG transformation. I know the readers of the Nearing Midnight column recognize the agenda behind the UN’s call to action regarding the so-called climate emergency. It’s all about the formation of a one-world government on the wings of crisis, which the globalists claim requires their solution. But it’s all a ruse. Is it not also revealing that they are thinking in terms of a “seven-year initiative”? Since it doesn’t involve Israel, it’s not the covenant that will start the Tribulation. But wow, they are thinking in terms of a seven-year agreement! It’s nothing short of prophecy coming to life. The SDGs go far beyond their contrived climate emergency; they point to a world where a totalitarian government enslaves people under a communist regime. The Bible says this will happen during the Tribulation. Here are just a few of the fallacies that lie behind the power-hungry oligarchs at the World Economic Forum (WEF), UN, and many other organizations telling us that a one-world government is the only answer to the current climate emergency. They are the ones damaging the environment. The last phrase of Revelation 11:18 aligns well with the deception agenda of the climate alarmists that call for draconian measures to avoid certain doom. “The nations raged, but your wrath came, and the time for the dead to be judged, and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear your name, both small and great, and for destroying the destroyers of the earth.” (Emphasis added) The globalists are themselves damaging the environment with fires and train derailments spilling hazardous materials. The frequency of these things suggests that an evil motive lies behind most, if not all, of these catastrophes. They start the fires and then tell us that “climate change” is the culprit. The sight of chemical trails in the sky is not the illusion of conspiracy theorists. One day this past summer, I looked up to see at least fifteen trails left by planes all bunched together in the western sky. They couldn’t be contrails because we never have so many planes flying that close to our home in such a short time, and the pattern in the sky was larger and lasted much longer than with contrails I had seen in the past. In his book, Spirit of the Antichrist, Volume One, pastor and prophecy speaker J.B. Hixon devoted an entire chapter (pages 111-129) to evidence regarding the geoengineering of weather by the government. He listed fourteen articles from Popular Science magazine from 2005 to 2021, all dealing with the science of changing weather patterns through geoengineering. Those warning us of the changing weather patterns are the very ones manipulating them so they can claim that they are evidence of the “climate emergency.” Scientists don’t agree that a climate emergency exists. Just last month, a group of 1,609 scientists from all around the world, including 321 such U.S. professionals, signed a statement stating that there “is no climate emergency.” They said, “The coalition pointed out that Earth’s climate has varied as long as it has existed, with the planet experiencing several cold and warm phases.” (https://www.ntd.com/over-1600-scientists-sign-no-climate-emergency-declaration_938916.html ) The promoters of the climate emergency fraud know it’s a lie. The behavior of those shouting the loudest for drastic action betrays their words. Many of them own multiple mansions (some at sea level), possess multiple cars and yachts, and fly all over the world in private jets. Their multiple failed predictions of doom fail to wake up those deceived by the fallacy of their repeated warnings of doom. The world leaders who will agree to the seven-year plan of the UN at their meeting later this month are also well aware that there’s no crisis; it’s all about a quest for power and riches. They believe their obedience to the agenda will be rewarded in the future. This great deception of our day, and it’s certainly not the only one, reminds me of the first words Jesus spoke when asked about the last days. “Take heed that no man deceive you” (Matthew 24:4). Even the lies of globalists reveal that we live in the last days. The sad reality for this world is that Satan’s deception will get a whole lot worse after Jesus takes us to Heaven, although it’s difficult for me to imagine a greater acceptance of outright lies than what we already see happening today. How close must we be to our homegoing if we are already witnessing such mass deception on such a vast scale? Will September be a month to remember with the UN furthering its one-world government agenda on the road to unwittingly fulfilling more prophecy? That’s likely to happen. Could this be the month of our homegoing? Only time will tell. But if our calendars should turn to October and we are still here, please know that Jesus is coming for us very, very soon. In recent weeks, archeologists achieved significant progress in the excavation, unearthing some eight steps descending into the Pool which had not been seen in 2,000 years — around the time when Jesus walked the earth. I have read the account of Jesus at the Pool of Siloam countless times. But I never imagined that any of us would ever get the chance to actually be there. But it could be argued that the discoveries that archaeologists are making at Shiloh are even more amazing. It would be difficult to overstate the important of Shiloh. Prior to the time of King David, it had been ancient Israel’s most important city for centuries, and it was also the location where the Tabernacle stood… “The city of Shiloh, located in the heart of the Biblical hill country, became the first capital of Israel shortly after the conquest of Canaan around 1400 BC. “The city was the cultural, religious, and political centre of the nation. “Therefore, it was here that Israel pitched the Tabernacle and here the Ark of the Covenant dwelt before it was put into the Temple in Jerusalem at the time of Solomon.” Dr. Scott Stripling is the director of excavation at Shiloh, and during a recent interview with CBN he shared evidence that indicates that his team has been uncovering the precise location where the Tabernacle once stood… We asked Stripling if he believed they’d actually found the Tabernacle. He answered, “I’m not ready to say I know for certain, but I’ll tell you what we do have is a building that is matching the dimensions of the Tabernacle. It’s from the Iron One period, which is the Tabernacle period of Eli and Samuel, and you’re actually standing right now, Chris, on this wall right here.” “So this entire area is this massive, monumental building. (It) orients east-west and it’s divided on 2 to 1 ratio, like the Tabernacle was,” Stripling explained. I was absolutely stunned when I first read that. But there is more. According to Professor Tom Meyer, a series of holes in the bedrock that could have supported the posts of the Tabernacle have been discovered. In addition, three stone horns “that once adorned three of the four corners of the horned altar in the Tabernacle” have been also found… Professor Meyer said: “This area, known as the ‘Tabernacle Plateau’, is sufficiently large enough to house the 150’x75’ Tabernacle courtyard. “Archaeologists found small cavities hewn into the bedrock of the plateau at intervals; these were perhaps postholes used to support the wooden poles of the outer Tabernacle fence. “Nearby, archaeologists also discovered three stone horns that once adorned three of the four corners of the horned altar in the Tabernacle courtyard.” Wow. I really do not understand why all of this has not been getting more attention. On top of everything else, there are the countless animal bones that are still waiting to be fully excavated. The presence of these animal bones is very strong evidence that this was a place where animal sacrifices were done on a very large scale… As we stood over the site, Stripling said, “This is unexcavated, underneath your feet, and my feet is about (4 feet) of solid bone, waiting to be excavated. Bone on top of bone, on top of bone. And we have micros stratigraphy in this area so we can see that the deposition is laid down over a long period of time, just like the Bible says.” When asked what kind of bones would be found there, he replied, “Sheep, goat, cow – and disproportionately from the right side of the animal.” The workers had uncovered, just that morning, jaw bones coming from the right side of the animals. “Why is the right side so significant?” he asked. “Well, the priests are the ones who live here, and Leviticus 7 tells us that the right side of the animal is the priest’s portion. So, I can’t make this stuff up. You know, you got a hundred thousand bones and they’re disproportionate. Give me another explanation. "The ongoing excavations within the City of David – the historic site of Biblical Jerusalem – particularly of the Pool of Siloam and the Pilgrimage Road, serve as one of the greatest affirmations of that heritage and the millennia-old bond Jews and Christians have with Jerusalem," said Ze'ev Orenstein, director of International Affairs, City of David Foundation. "Not simply as a matter of faith, but as a matter of fact." For those of you who have not had the experience to see with your own eyes what has been discovered in Israel since it was unified with Jerusalem, this maybe the pinnacle. It's hard to say because there are so many highlights. While there are many parts of the world worth seeing, I have chosen to see Israel, this historic, archaeological wonder, more than 20 times – I have lost count by my reckoning. I can't wait to see it again. "The half-mile running through the City of David, from the Pool of Siloam in the south, continuing along the Pilgrimage Road, up to the footsteps of the Western Wall, Southern Steps and Temple Mount, represents the most significant half-mile on the planet," Orenstein said. "There is no half-mile anywhere on Earth which means more to more people – not to millions, but to billions – than the half-mile that is the City of David." The pool was first built roughly 2,700 years ago as part of Jerusalem's water system in the eighth century B.C. The construction unfolded during the reign of King Hezekiah as cited in the Bible in the book of 2 Kings, according to the two Israeli agencies and the City of David Foundation. According to estimates, the Pool of Siloam passed through many stages of construction and reached the size of 1.25 acres. According to a passage in the Gospel of John, it was there where Jesus restored the sight of a man born blind. A "stroke of luck" revealed the pool in 2004, when infrastructure work carried out by the Hagihon water company uncovered some of the pool's steps. The Israel Antiquities Authority, under supervision of professors Roni Reich and Eli Shukron, launched a survey. As a result, the northern perimeter, as well as a small section of the eastern perimeter of the Pool of Siloam, were uncovered. Sure – a "stroke of luck." It's always a stroke of luck. Could Jesus have any role in it? Just remember what the writer of the book of Hebrews said. "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever." And: "Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body." Isn't that what the blind man in the Pool of Siloam found? Take a bow for the new revolution. Smile and grin at the change all around. Pick up my guitar and play. Just like yesterday. Then I’ll get on my knees and pray, We don’t get fooled again. No, no.” America is once again on the brink of getting fooled again. Gathering from all the chatter on the street and the people wearing masks, schools requiring students to wear masks and keep their distance from one another, and all the proclamations from government officials about COVID, it looks to me like America learned very little from the COVID disaster of government control and lies, yes lies. There are many who made the “educated” decision to take the experimental mRNA shots to ward off COVID death. The government, in collusion with the news media and many large corporations, spread the fear that we were all going to die of COVID if we didn’t take the mRNA serum that was safe and effective. Turns out, that it was neither safe nor effective. The shot didn’t prevent people from getting COVID. It didn’t prevent the spread of COVID. It didn’t work against any COVID variants. It didn’t prevent hospitalization. And, in many cases, the mRNA shot didn’t prevent death. In fact, studies indicate that the shot likely caused many to die. Now many who took the shot do not want to believe the studies, but the facts do not lie. It’s people’s belief in their own truth that often lies. And in the case of COVID, it could be deadly. Numerous studies indicate that side effects of the mRNA shot included blood clots, pericarditis and myocarditis—all could possibly lead to death. These side effects were known by the drug companies and the government as early as December 2020 when the Food and Drug Administration granted Pfizer/BioNTech Emergency Use Authorization for the experimental mRNA shot. A confidential Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine adverse event report to the FDA dated April 3, 2021 obtained by The Daily Jot indicated as of February 28, 2021 there were 42,086 reports of 158,893 adverse events from the Pfizer COVID vaccine—all withheld from the public. The Appendix of the report listed 9 pages–472 lines and 2072 words–of “Adverse Events of Special Interest.” Pfizer concluded, however,: “This cumulative case review does not raise new safety issues.” Now, a scientific analysis of deaths from Pfizer’s report published on PREPRINTS.org, a platform dedicated to making early versions of research permanently available and citable, indicates “evidence of an over 3.7-fold increase in number of deaths due to cardiovascular events in BNT162b2 vaccinated subjects compared to Placebo controls. This significant adverse event signal was not reported by Pfizer/BioNTech.” Another study indicates the mRNA shot significantly reduces immune responses to other pathogens. Documents obtained by Freedom of Information Act show that the FDA and CDC hid from the public the data that 63% of COVID-hospitalized people 65 and older were vaccinated. The Epoch Times reports the CDC paid $11.8 million to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists to tell people that the vaccines were safe and effective for pregnant women and new mothers. The aforementioned Pfizer report to the FDA documented “Pregnancy outcomes for the 270 pregnancies were reported as spontaneous abortion (23), outcome pending (5), premature birth with neonatal death, spontaneous abortion with intrauterine death (2 each), spontaneous abortion with neonatal death, and normal outcome (1 each).” Today, we have Joe Biden calling for everybody to take the new COVID shot, selling fear of new variants. As Christ said in Matthew 24:4, “Take heed that no man deceive you.” In fact, we all better get down on our knees and pray we won’t get fooled again. That would be…say it with me…Stupidocrisy. But it isn’t the worst thing. The worst thing of all is to have a hardened heart. Even a drug addict, an alcoholic, and an immoral person can see their need for God and turn to Him. Meanwhile, there are people who never go out and do bad things, but their heart gets harder every month and every year. And having a hardened heart is the worst of all. It’s better to be a prodigal and eventually return someday than to never come home. And a hardened heart can cause someone to commit the unforgivable sin, which is blaspheming the Holy Spirit (see Mark 3:29; Luke 12:10). When we read about Moses and Pharaoh in the Book of Exodus, we learn that God hardened Pharaoh’s heart. We may think that Pharaoh didn’t have a choice in the matter. But the Hebrew word for hardened also could be translated “strengthened.” In other words, God responded to Pharaoh’s response. In essence God was saying, “Make your move, Pharaoh.” And Pharaoh made it. God had shown him miracle after miracle and gave him the opportunity to believe. But Pharaoh still rejected God. So God affirmed Pharaoh in the decision he had already made. God does this with every person. If we choose to believe and trust in Him, then He will strengthen us in that decision. On the other hand, if we choose to reject Him and blaspheme Him, then He will strengthen us in that decision as well. He responds to our response. This certainly doesn’t happen overnight. And before we worry that we have blasphemed the Holy Spirit and committed the unforgivable sin, let’s understand what it is. Blaspheming the Holy Spirit doesn’t mean saying something irreverent about the Spirit of God. Rather, blaspheming the Holy Spirit is a deliberate, willful, continual lifestyle in which we know what is right and have chosen to respond to it with rejection. And by continued exposure to the truth of God and a refusal to obey and trust in Him, we finally go too far and lose all perspective. Interestingly, God said to the prophet Jeremiah, “Pray no more for these people, Jeremiah. Do not weep or pray for them, and don’t beg me to help them, for I will not listen to you” (Jeremiah 7:16 NLT). God was saying that these people had taken it too far. The work of the Holy Spirit is to convict us of our sin and bring us to Jesus Christ. So, to blaspheme and insult the Holy Spirit is to reject the work that He is attempting to do. And when you blaspheme the Holy Spirit, there is no hope for you. The Bible says, “Today is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2 NLT). But if you keep putting it off, there will come a time when you will seal your own destiny.
