The children of Israel observed the second Passover at Mount Sinai in 1445 BC. They observed the feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days, from Nisan 15 to Nisan 21. The rituals concerning the waving of the first fruits of the harvests of Firstfruits and Shavuot weren’t observed, as they were to commence when the Hebrews entered the Promised Land, according to Leviticus 23:9. They left Sinai on the 20th day of the second month of Iyyar in 1445 BC. Thirty-nine years later, in 1406 BC the children of Israel finally entered the Promised Land on Nisan 10 when they crossed the Jordan River. “Now the people came up from the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and they camped in Gilgal on the east border of Jericho” (Joshua 4:19).
 
After the entrance into the Promised Land, God told Joshua to circumcise the second generation of the sons of Israel, as they had not been circumcised yet. After healing for three days, the Hebrews celebrated the Passover on the 14th day of Nisan. On the 15th of Nisan, they ate from the produce of the land. ”And they ate of the produce of the land on the day after the Passover, unleavened bread and parched grain, on the very same day” (Joshua 5:11). On the 16th day of Nisan the manna from God ceased and they continued eating of the crops of the land.
 
The next recorded event in the Book of Joshua is the battle of Jericho. There is no mention of the waving of the first fruits of barley on the feast of Firstfruits or of the first fruits of wheat on the feast of Weeks (Shavuot) during this time. Either the Bible doesn’t record these events or they were not to commence until the children of Israel had planted and harvested their own crops and not the crops of the heathens. I prefer the latter view, due to the passage in Exodus 23:16. The Book of the Law is mentioned in Joshua and other books of the Bible, but never in conjunction with the feast of Shavuot. As I mentioned in my previous article, The Harvest of Shavuot and the Ten Commandments, I don’t believe God gave the 10 Commandments to Moses on the exact day of Shavuot.
 
Now, let’s fast forward 1438 years to 33 AD (some still say 30 AD) and look at Jesus’ last Passover and the giving of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. The first day of Holy Week occurred on Nisan 10, Palm Sunday, when Jesus rode into Jerusalem as king of the Jews but wasn’t accepted as such. Nisan 10 was the day when God had commanded the Jews to select the Passover lamb (Exodus 12:3). Then for three days, they were to carefully inspect it to make sure it had no spot or blemish that would prevent it from being used in the Passover celebration on the 14th (Exodus 12:3,6). Over the next three days (Nisan 11-13), Jesus would be subjected to the most intense scrutiny of his ministry as the Jewish leadership tried to find some imperfection in his word or deed.
 
Jesus was crucified as our Passover lamb on Thursday, Nisan 14 at 3:00 pm, which was three hours before the date changed to Nisan 15. He was in the grave before Friday, Nisan 15 began, for this was the day of the “special sabbath” where no work was to be done. Thus, he was in the grave Thursday, Friday, and the weekly Sabbath of Saturday, Nisan 16. Jesus was in the grave until He was resurrected on Sunday, Nisan 17, the proper day of the feast of Firstfruits. This was the ultimate fulfillment of the feast of Firstfruits. “But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming” (1 Corinthians 15:20,22). Jesus Christ is the first fruit of all believers in Christ who will be raised from the dead (with an incorruptible body). He is the fulfillment of the sheaf of the first fruits to be waved before the LORD, as mentioned in Leviticus 23:10-11, and the male lamb without blemish in verse 12. As the Jews were waving the barley sheaf before the LORD at the temple in Jerusalem on Sunday, Nisan 17, God had already waved (presented) His son, Jesus Christ, before the congregation in heaven. During the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the barley bread that was to be consumed was to be made without leaven. In the Torah, leaven represents sin. The bread represents Jesus’ body which was without sin. Barley is the first crop to rise from the earth in early spring.
 
Acts 3:1 says that Jesus presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by His apostles during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. Jesus told his apostles to wait in Jerusalem for the Promise of the Father and that they would be baptized with the power of the Holy Spirit. The apostles watched Jesus as He ascended into heaven 40 days after His resurrection. 10 days later, the disciples of Jesus attended the annual feast of Shavuot, now known as Pentecost. Of course, the Father kept His promise and sent the Holy Spirit to Jesus’ disciples.
 
“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:1-4). On the 7th day of Sivan on the Hebrew calendar, in 33 AD, the Holy Spirit manifested Himself, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
 
“Those ordinary people, His disciples, were transformed on that day into men of extraordinary spiritual power who would challenge their world of abject paganism with a dynamic Christian movement that not even the might of Rome could stop. Within a few days, over three thousand Jews became believers. Reliable reports suggest that despite horrible persecutions, tortures, and massive executions, within 70 years over 10 million believers had joined the underground Christian Church throughout the Roman Empire. Jesus fulfilled his prophecy to his disciples, and God baptized them with his Holy Spirit. The feast of Pentecost began the Dispensation of Grace, and the Church was born. It consisted of Jewish and Gentile believers in Jesus as the Son of God and the Savior of mankind.” {1}
 
*Let’s look at the timeline for the counting of the Omer in AD 33. From the feast of Firstfruits, Sunday, Nisan 17, 3793 AM (April 5, 33 AD) to the feast of Shavuot/Pentecost, Sunday, Sivan 7, 3793 AM (May 24, 33 AD) is 50 days and contains a week of weeks (7 weeks of Sunday to Saturday – 49 days). Jesus’ ascension to heaven would have occurred on Iyyar 26, 3793 AM (May 14, 33 AD). According to Astro Pixels (NASA) calculations, there was a full moon on April 3, 33 AD (Julian calendar) of that year. The date on the Jewish calendar would have been Nisan 15, the first day of Unleavened Bread.

The Church of Jesus Christ was born on the day of Shavuot/Pentecost after the week of weeks had been completed. On this annual Jewish feast day, the Jews were required to bring a new grain (wheat) offering to the LORD, which consisted of two loaves of bread made from fine flour and baked with leaven. “They are the first fruits to the LORD” (Leviticus 23:17). This is quite different from the feast of Firstfruits where it was required to bring a sheaf of barley and the worshipers were to only eat unleavened bread during the feast of Unleavened Bread.
 
We have seen the typology of the feast of Firstfruits in that Jesus was the first fruits of the dead to be resurrected. Jesus led a sinless life. Leaven, which represents sin, was not allowed in the barley bread to be eaten during that holy week. However, after seven sevens (49 days), on the day of Pentecost, the two wheat loaves that were to be waved before the Lord were baked with leaven. This is the only feast of the Lord where leaven is allowed. Why?
 
I believe the two leavened loaves of wheat bread are a typology of the Church that was born on that Pentecost day on Sivan 7, 33 AD. Both Jews and Gentiles were baptized on that day and became members of Jesus’ congregation (Church) that started the spiritual kingdom of God on earth. All were sinners. However, the Jews and Gentile believers were filled with the Holy Spirit of God and became a new creation… from grains of wheat to loaves of bread. They became more like Jesus, who is the bread of life. “I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eats of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world” (John 6:51).
 
“But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept” (1 Corinthians 15:20). Jesus was the first to be resurrected (with an immortal body) from the dead. The next first fruits to be resurrected from the dead will be His Church at the Rapture. “But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17)
 
All those who have died in Christ since the new covenant was initiated will be resurrected on that glorious day to come in the near future. They will precede the living believers in Christ who will also be transformed and raised to glory at that time. These living believers will not die physically but will die to sin permanently. Will this supernatural spiritual harvest of souls occur on a future feast of Pentecost? I don’t know. Nobody does. But the typology seems to fit. If the Rapture does occur on a future feast of the Lord day, Pentecost seems to be the most obvious candidate. There are two main resurrections that occur, according to the Bible. The resurrection of the saved (first resurrection) and the resurrection of the unsaved (second resurrection). “Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation” (John 5:28-29). “And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust” (Acts 24:15). The first resurrection takes place in various stages: Jesus’ resurrection, the Church’s resurrection, and the resurrection of the martyrs and Old Testament saints at the end of the Tribulation.
 
“Revelation 20:12-13 identifies those comprising the second resurrection as the wicked judged by God at the great white throne judgment prior to being cast into the lake of fire. The second resurrection, then, is the raising of all unbelievers; the second resurrection is connected to the second death. It corresponds with Jesus’ teaching of the “resurrection of damnation” (John 5:29). The event which divides the first and second resurrections seems to be the millennial kingdom. The last of the righteous are raised to reign “with Christ a thousand years” (Revelation 20:4), but the “rest of the dead [that is, the wicked] lived not again until the 1000 years were finished” (Revelation 20:5).” What is the first resurrection? We have looked at the timing of the first two stages of the first resurrection. The third stage will occur at the end of the Tribulation. At the end of the Tribulation is when we see the Lord Jesus Christ return to the earth (during the feast of Trumpets) to defeat His enemies, save the remnant of believers, and set up His millennial kingdom. His second advent will fulfill the remaining three fall feasts of the Lord, Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles. The seven feasts of the Lord will now be completely fulfilled spiritually by the Lord Jesus.
 
The feast of Tabernacles is described in Leviticus 23:39-43. “On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the feast of the Lord for seven days; on the first day there shall be a sabbath-rest, and on the eighth day a sabbath-rest” (Leviticus 23:39). This is the third harvest for the children of Israel which takes place in the fall season and includes the harvesting of fruits, olives, nuts, etc. At the end of this feast of the Lord and at the end of the Tribulation is when the third stage of the first resurrection takes place. The martyrs of the Tribulation and Old Testament saints are the third group of the dead in Christ to be resurrected. They are the spiritual harvest of “fruits” that fulfills the feast of Tabernacles.
 
The Old Testament saints to be resurrected are mentioned in Isaiah 26:19. “Your dead shall live; Together with my dead body, they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; For your dew is like the dew of herbs, And the earth shall cast out the dead.” The martyred saints’ resurrection is found in Revelation 20:4. “Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.”
 
The three feasts of the LORD which all the males were required to “gather” is in tandem with the three harvest seasons. “You shall keep the feast of unleavened bread: (you shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded you, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it you came out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty. And the feast of harvest, the first fruits of your labors, which you have sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when you have gathered in thy labors out of the field. Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the LORD God” (Exodus 23:14-17).
 
Regarding the above passage, Jesus was the first fruits of the feast of Unleavened Bread (Firstfruits occurs within this feast), the Church will be the next crop to be harvested at the feast of Harvest (Pentecost), and the martyrs of the Tribulation and Old Testament saints will be the last crop to be harvested at the feast of Ingathering (Tabernacles). The agricultural harvests of the children of Israel in the Promised Land are a typology of the spiritual harvests of the saints (both Jews and Gentiles) to be resurrected by the LORD in their appointed times.
 
“But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming” (1 Corinthians 15:20,22). There will be three comings of Christ: His first advent to the earth, His “in the sky” Rapture, and His second advent to the earth; and each time He comes brings about a resurrection of the dead in Christ.
 
“Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest, I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn” (Matthew 13:24-30).
 
This is what the counting of the Omer in 2023 looks like. Nisan 14, the Biblical Passover, occurs on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. The feast of Firstfruits occurs on Sunday, April 9 (Nisan 18), 2023. Pentecost is on May 28 (Sivan 8), 2023. Of course, the Jews will celebrate Shavuot on Sivan 6, which is on Friday, May 26, 2023.

Acts 28:28, “Therefore, let it be known to you that the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles and they will hear it.” Under Moses, all those who believed and followed the instructions putting the sacrificial blood on their doors, were saved from death. This means that all those who left Egypt had taken a step of faith and been saved. They were no longer just Hebrews ethnically. They had become a faith community. Similarly, under Yeshua, all who appropriate His sacrificial blood, shed for us to save us from the power of death, have entered into the faith community of those who follow Him. There’s no difference of color, of skin, of age, and certainly not of ethnic background. If you apply the blood, and if you believe in Him, then you shall be saved.
 
It has become increasingly popular (though grossly inaccurate) among many who claim they are Christians to say there are different paths to God. The claim is clearly anti-Christ and completely contradictory to Scripture. Aside from the obvious objections we would have on hearing such a proposition, let’s consider this claim from the perspective of necessity.
 
1 John 2:1-2 KJV – “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”
 
While the word “propitiation” may not be part of our everyday speech, it is an important word for us to know. The word means “atonement”. Atonement is the reparation for wrongs committed. The scope of this atonement for sins is sufficient for that of the whole world. If the blood of Jesus made reparation for the sins of the whole world, where is the necessity for other paths to heaven?
 
John 1:12 KJV – “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
 
Again, where is the need for other paths when the one path is available for all? It doesn’t make sense. Whoever receives Him (Jesus Christ), to them He gave the right to become children of God. This also dispels the popular saying that we are all God’s children, which is not true. After all you don’t need to “become” a child of God if you already are one. The only way to become God’s child is to believe in the only name that saves, the name of Jesus!
 
The beauty of this verse is contained in the two words, “as many”. There are no ethnic, cultural, physiological, or national requirements to be among the “as many”. If you’re tall or small, rich or poor, grumpy or jovial, if your skin tone is light or dark or somewhere in between, no matter what you have done in the past, no matter how many or how big your sins, you can become part of this community of believers who are children of God.
 
So why the need for there to be other paths?
 
Galatians 2:20 KJV – “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
 
Paul, a former persecutor of the church, personalized the work that Christ did on the cross in a way we would all do well to emulate. He saw himself as one of the “as many as received Him.” He considered Himself to be a part of the “whole world” that Christ died for. His past didn’t disqualify him nor did his ethnicity qualify him. He realized that, like all of us, he was a garden-variety sinner for whom Christ paid, with His own blood, the penalty for his sin.
 
Romans 5:8 KJV – “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
 
John 14:6 KJV – “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
 
There are not “many paths to God” for the simple reason there is no need for them. The one true and living God has sent His Son into the world to do for the world what only He could do, save us from our sins. His blood applied to our lives allows the second death to pass over us. No matter what we have done, no matter where we are from, no matter the depth of our sins, the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness and belief in Him gives us the right to be called God’s children.
 
Psalms 103:12 KJV – “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”
 
The great Apostle Paul wished his past was different than it was, but he didn’t let that stop him from seeking and serving the Lord. The same is true for us as well. No matter who or what we used to be, through Jesus we are part of the family of God!

My attention is incessantly drawn to the increasing wickedness that, within just the past few years, seems to have invaded our reality. By this, I mean that nothing now seems to be as near to “normal” as things were, say, in 2020.
 
My own human thoughts interject that it’s because my 97-year-old mom died early that year. Her passing made everything darker from losing the Lord’s brightness within her that illuminated my path. She gave me my Scripture for life, written in the front leaf of the Bible she gave me when I was very young:
 
Trust in the lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5–6)   
 
Forgetting for a brief time to use that biblical flashlight Mom had handed me as a youngster, during the natural mourning process when she passed away, things did look not to be as life had been before.
 
But that other light within (the Holy Spirit, not my human thoughts) soon turned on within my consideration the Proverbs 3: 5–6 truth—the light Kathleen James-Basse left behind in February, 2020, when Heaven became a brighter abode than ever.
 
So, it isn’t anything personal affecting my life that gives this world a sense of increased strangeness and malevolence. There is most definitely a supernatural aura about life today that wasn’t there before–and it’s not from the good side of that other dimension.
 
My attention is incessantly drawn to the increasing wickedness that seems to have within just the past few years invaded our reality, because the Holy Spirit prompts my spirit that there is indeed an invasion taking place. The other dimension this invasion is coming from is what I call “pre-Trib portals.”
 
I use this term because the demonic activity that God’s Word says will prevail during the Tribulation (the last seven years leading to Christ’s return) seems to already be seeping, maybe even flooding, into our reality even now. Therefore, there is a pre-Trib intrusion into our time before the Rapture of the Church. This, I’m convicted, is all in preparation for the Antichrist regime of horror Jesus said will be the worst period of human history (Matthew 24:21). Satan is trying to set the stage upon which his son of perdition will step when believers are taken off the earth and the “covenant with many” of Daniel chapter 9 is confirmed by “the prince that shall come.”
 
In America, this preparation has been taking place for many decades. I believe it began in earnest shortly after the twentieth century began. It has accelerated swiftly and is now at full throttle.

My sense of discerning the invasion we face at this late prophetic hour tells me that the evil being directed toward children is perhaps the most significant manifestation of what is pouring through the pre-Trib portals. It is concentrated wickedness, and even parents of the children seem to have lost spiritual immunity to Satan’s deadly venom.
 
Proof that America has reached the reprobate mindset of Romans 1: 28 is clearly shown, I think, through the opinion on children rendered by the top leader in America—the leadership position once considered the highest in the free world:
 
Monday’s segment of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, President Joe Biden spoke with gay man and former White House staff member in the Obama era, Kal Penn, where he admitted that he thought restricting kids from getting their private parts mutilated was “sinful.”…
 
“Transgender kids is a really harder thing,” he began. “What’s going on in Florida is, as my mother would say, close to sinful. I mean it’s terrible what they’re doing.”
 
In Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis is spearheading laws that would prohibit kids from receiving dangerous surgeries and drugs to change their gender. DeSantis recognizes that there are two genders and that children are not mature enough to make such life altering decisions. While his laws are evidence of him looking out for children’s best interests, the left is twisting it into an anti-LGBTQ campaign by the Republican Governor…
 
Regardless, Biden insisted that he was looking to pass legislation that would allow transgender youth to harm their bodies and added, “You mess with that, you’re breaking the law, and you’re gonna be held accountable.”
 
It really is a shame that Biden is using his platform and position of power to facilitate such a grave evil in this nation. Kids need to be protected, not infected by the disease of the woke left. Nearly all of America’s problems are spiritual in nature. As we’ve drifted away from biblical values, the culture has degraded. I witnessed a demonstration of this process right here in my neighborhood.
 
About three years ago, a black couple moved into a house across the street and one up from me. The house consisted of two unmarried adults and two daughters under the age of 10.
 
Because I don’t leave my house very often, it was about three months before I met them. The mother was very quiet, and still, to this day, I’ve only spoken to her once. The man of the house, whom I’ll call Mark, was very outgoing, and I liked him very much. Mark had to clean up many problems left over from the previous tenants, who were absolute dirtbags that left the owner with $20,000 in damages.
 
If there was a wild dog running around the block, Mark would get it captured so it couldn’t bite someone. Drivers that raced down the street could expect a tongue-lashing from him. Terry fell off the back porch as he was walking to the exercise shed one day, and Mark jumped over a tall fence to help Terry get up and make sure he was physically ok.
 
He moved his brood to Benton, which is 95% white, to purposely avoid the problems of blacker communities. Mark had a close relationship with his family members, which is something greatly lacking in Black America. He would have them over for major holidays. He spoke of his mother, who owned some type of cleaning business.
 
About a year and a half ago, I asked Terry Jr. where Mark was because I hadn’t seen him in a few weeks. Terry Jr. told me that Mark was in the Saline County Jail awaiting trial. It turns out Mark was selling drugs, and he had an underage child in the car with him at the time he was busted.
 
Mark is about to be released from prison, but we won’t be able to ask him what went wrong. Now that he’s a felon, the owner refuses to let him live in the house. The mother is in the process of moving out of the property.
 
The odds are stacked against Mark being able to turn his life around. One study found that 58% of blacks were reincarcerated within 8 years of being released from prison. There are 1.1 million blacks behind bars because of a drug conviction.
 
Mark had all these good qualities, but he was taken down by a black culture that glorifies drug use. Dope-head Rapper stars are looked up to as heroes. The left constantly blames law enforcement for the drug problem. The ACLU once called the drug war the new Jim Crow. The liberal media will rarely point out that a mass shooting was drug related. I remember in my youth watching PSAs that blamed drug dealers for destroying people’s lives. Today, blaming drug dealers in the black community is viewed as racist talk.
 
Negative culture is a key reason the city of Detroit has remained an unfixable mess for 50 years. The city has a culture of political corruption, a culture that blames racism on the city founders, and a culture of dependency on the government that prevents a turnaround.
 
I recently watched a YouTube series on Nazi war criminals. The video gives a brief background of the person, details their horrendous crimes, and then ends with their execution. I remember one guy who murdered 20,000 with his own bare hands. As he was being led to the gallows, a priest held out a small white cross for him to kiss. He didn’t renounce his sin and ask for Jesus to forgive him; he kissed a cultural icon as if it would make any difference. The priest should have taken the day off rather than lending any credibility to a monster.
 
I don’t believe in fighting the culture war. We have so many cultures stacked on top of each other that it becomes hopeless to reach people. Christianity is viewed by many as a white man’s religion, that it’s for the rich, a tool of discrimination, and insults LGBTQ folks. The church has been on a prolonged losing stretch because we are always reacting to these people who dream up these new cultural norms.
 
What we need to do is return to the basic salvation message. Paul summed up his ministry as, “I preach Christ crucified.” This simple message works because once you become a true believer, your faith will come into conflict with the world’s sinful culture. Each day we have to decide if we are going to follow our risen Lord or the world.
 
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).

Globalists have long promoted the idea of a central bank with a central world currency. These bank failures of recent may be part of their overall plan. When banks fail, governments or other banks come along-side them to ensure that their depositors are protected. Consolidation and control is usually the result. While the bailed-out bank may have its same name, it is now owned by or beholden to another entity, a larger entity that can afford the risk. This puts the money in control of fewer hands. There are conditions for the bail-outs. What currently may be happening is a shift in how banking is done, consolidation if you will, to bring tighter control and monitoring of money. A large step toward electronic currency.
 
Policy is a huge factor. During the early Trump years, the economy was humming. Then came COVID. And then came Biden. The Biden Administration policies caused this current bank crisis, likely in cooperation with the major financial leaders. Locking down the economy was a huge step toward financial disruption. Immediately on the heels of that Marxist move was Biden’s barrage against the economy. Within hours of taking office, Joe Biden issued Executive Orders, such as cancelling the Keystone pipeline and ending oil exploration and leases on federal lands. That Executive Order turned the United States from an energy independent nation into an energy dependent country. Within a month, gasoline prices shot up 33 cents a gallon. This set off a chain reaction throughout the economy. Costs of goods skyrocketed.
 
Then Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act rammed through Congress on a partisan vote. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) waxed prophetic at the time, saying, “The Democrats’ reckless tax and spending plan includes nearly $370 billion to fund the Green New Deal, $64 billion for Obamacare, and hundreds of billions in new taxes on American businesses and manufacturers…The spending spree also includes $80 billion to double the number of IRS agents–practically giving every American a personalized tax auditor. We should be cutting taxes, not increasing them.” The Federal Reserve responded by raising the prime rate, leaving many banks holding notes at low interest, reducing profit margins while the cost of money increased.
 
Considering the goals of the World Economic Forum and the US participation in it, a reasonable question to ask is: Did Biden tank the banks on purpose? This control and consolidation as a result of major bank failures, the subsequent cost of bailouts, and the ripple effect on the world’s banking systems point to a crisis hurling the world closer to an electronic currency—especially when one of the bank failures was a major dealer in cryptocurrency, of which the government wants to gain control. This is not so much about protecting your money, it may well be more about establishing a clear pathway to controlling you through your money. As is prophesied in Revelation 13:17, “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” The path of the beast is being cleared. Beware.

The Bible warns us, “Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts” (2 Timothy 2:22 NLT).
 
In other words, flee and follow. Run from anything that stimulates lust and follow anything that makes you want to do right.
 
Psalm 1 tells us, “Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night” (verses 1–2 NLT).
 
The best way to avoid losing ground is to gain ground. The best way to keep from going backward is to go forward.
 
The problem is that a lot of believers are not following after righteousness. They are not pursuing God. Instead, they are coasting along in spiritual cruise control. Meanwhile, there are mountains to climb. There is rugged terrain to navigate. There are opportunities for growth.
 
Yet many Christians are kicking back, and they will end up becoming spiritually lazy instead of moving forward. And sadly, it’s only a matter of time until they fall.
 
I have often said that the Christian life is like a greased pole. You are either climbing or slipping. How about you? Are you climbing? Are you growing and maturing? Or are you sliding backward?
