The Hebrew word for sabbath is sab-bat, and its meaning is ‘intermission.’ The first time the word sabbath is mentioned in the Bible is in Exodus 16:23. After the children of Israel left Egypt and came into the wilderness of Sin, they complained about lack of bread; so God rained down heavenly manna upon them (for 40 years). The people could gather and cook the manna for six days, but not on the seventh. They were told to take enough manna on the sixth day so they could have ‘leftovers’ for the seventh day. The 7th day was to be a day of rest, a sabbath to the Lord.
 
The first time God elucidated the importance of the sabbath is in Exodus 31:13-17 when Moses physically received the Ten Commandments (two tablets of testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God) on Mt. Sinai. Look at the importance of this fourth commandment:
 
“Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever does any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed” (Exodus 31:15-17).
 
The weekly sabbath is a day of rest. If the ancient children of Israel worked on this day, they would be put to death. God was very serious about this commandment, as He is about all of them. The seventh day of the week, the sabbath, is considered a Feast of the Lord, albeit a weekly one and not an annual event. The seventh day of rest, after the six days of creation, is the main reason why the number 7 represents completion and perfection in the Bible.
 
Throughout the book of Exodus, most of the Feasts of the Lord are introduced, but it is in Leviticus 23 where all of them are given and explained in detail. It is interesting to note that the first Feast mentioned is the weekly sabbath of rest. The remainder of Leviticus 23 is in regard to the 7 annual Feasts of the Lord. The Lord required certain days of these Feasts to be work prohibitive (no servile work therein), but only the three fall Feasts specify they are a sabbath. These fall Feasts are Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah), Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), and Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) – on the first and eighth day. In addition to a weekly day of rest for the people and work animals, God also required a year of rest for the land of Israel every 7 years. This is called the Sabbath year or Shemitah (Shmita) year and is described in Leviticus 25:2-7:
 
“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a sabbath to the Lord. Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather its fruit; but in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the Lord. You shall neither sow your field nor prune your vineyard. What grows of its own accord of your harvest you shall not reap, nor gather the grapes of your untended vine, for it is a year of rest for the land. And the sabbath produce of the land shall be food for you: for you, your male and female servants, your hired man, and the stranger who dwells with you, for your livestock and the beasts that are in your land—all its produce shall be for food.”
 
Every 7th year, the people of Israel were instructed to grant a release for the debtor (forgive debts owned by fellow Israelites) according to Deuteronomy 15:1-3. Also, Hebrew slaves were to be set free for nothing (Exodus 21:2). The reason for this release of debt and servitude is given in Deuteronomy 15:4, “there may be no poor among you; for the Lord will greatly bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance.” However, this remedy was conditional, “only if you carefully obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe with care all these commandments which I command you today” (Deuteronomy 15:5). The reward for this obedience would be a blessing from God, as described in verse 6.
 
To show how important the Shemitah year and the number 7 were, God went even further by multiplying the Sabbath year (and potential blessings) and creating the Jubilee.
 
“‘And you shall count seven sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years; and the time of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years. Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land. And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family” (Leviticus 25:8-10).
 
The word ‘jubilee’ (yo-w-bel), interestingly enough, means a ram’s horn, as a shofar, in the Bible. The year of the Jubilee involved a release from indebtedness and bondage. All slaves were set free, and prisoners and captives were released. All property was returned to its original owner. Like the Sabbath year, all labor was to cease for one year. The land would provide for the people’s needs because letting the land rest would result in bountiful crops during the years immediately before the 7th and 49/50th years. Also, the residue of crops and the wild grapes that weren’t cultivated would provide food for the people and animals.
 
Throughout the years, I have been asked repeatedly what I thought about the Shemitah years (cycles) and the Jubilee and how they relate to the end times; in particular, how they relate to the prophecy of Daniel’s 70th Week/Sevens (Daniel 9:24-27). My usual reply is that since there have never been any biblical or secular sources that confirm that Israel ever obeyed any of these commandments, there is no real prophetic significance regarding them or trying to date them. To have a final future Shemitah year or Jubilee, there has to be a first one.
 
For the blessings to come true, the children of Israel would have had to keep all of the Day/s of Atonement. If they didn’t keep this holy annual event for six straight years, there would be no Shemitah year in the 7th year. If they didn’t keep all of the Shemitah years of rest for the land and people, there would be no Jubilee; so it is meaningless to try and figure out when these cycles begin and when they end. More on this later. Of course, God would make certain that the land had its 7th (and 50th) year of rest, one way or the other.
 
The Jubilee and the Shemitah year were to be a time of rest for the people, work animals, and the land. They were meant to be Sabbaths unto the Lord. The promise of God’s blessing for obeying His Sabbaths, as well as His retribution for disobeying, are given in chapter 26 of Leviticus. The curse of not obeying God and neglecting His Sabbaths are discussed in verses 33-35:
 
“I will scatter you among the nations and draw out a sword after you; your land shall be desolate and your cities waste. Then the land shall enjoy its sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies’ land; then the land shall rest and enjoy its sabbaths. As long as it lies desolate it shall rest – for the time it did not rest on your sabbaths when you dwelt in it.”
 
God also warned the children of Israel that if they did not obey Him, and did not observe all His commandments, and if they despised His statutes; or if their soul abhorred His Judgments so that they did not perform all His commandment but instead broke His covenant, He would punish them 7 times more for their sins (vs.18). God doesn’t stop there but promises 7 times more plagues in vs. 21, and 7 more times of punishment in vs. 24, and 7 more times of chastisement in vs. 28. The cost of disobeying God’s commandments, including the Shemitah years and Jubilee, add up (or should I say multiply) in an exponential manner. In this case, 7 is the number for complete punishment.
 
History has shown us that the children of Israel, through the divided kingdoms of Judah and Israel, chose to disobey God by transgressing against His commandments; especially the 1st commandment (you shall have no other God besides me) and the 4th commandment (keep the Sabbath day holy), which includes the Shemitah years and Jubilees. The devastating result was exactly what God told them through his prophet Moses, which he recorded in his books of Deuteronomy and Leviticus.
 
The northern Kingdom, Israel, was overtaken by Assyria in 722 BC. They were scattered throughout the kingdom of Assyria and would never return as a nation. The southern kingdom of Judah was destroyed in 586 BC by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, and its citizens were mostly killed or taken captive back to Babylon.
 
Jeremiah was a priest in Jerusalem when God called him to be a prophet in the 13th year of King Josiah’s reign. He prophesied mostly about the coming destruction of Judah and Jerusalem for their sinful rebellion against the Lord. He prophesied during the reigns of Judah’s last five kings, from 626 BC to 580 BC.
 
In 605 BC, Jeremiah prophesied about a 70-year desolation and captivity that God would bring about through His vessel, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. These 70 years of captivity in Babylon were to be a judgment and punishment from God because of the Jews’ apostasy against His word and will. The main reason for this judgment is given in Jeremiah 25:6-7, which talks about their worshipping other gods.
 
It is thought by most Bible teachers that the 70-year judgment started in 586 BC and ended when the second temple was rebuilt and completed in 516 BC. Others suggest the starting point was 605 BC when the first group of Jews (including Daniel and his three friends, Hanniah, Mishiel, and Azariah) was deported to Babylon, and the end was 535 BC when reconstruction of the temple began in Jerusalem.
 
The 70-year captivity was not to be the Jews’ only judgment, however. There was still the matter of neglecting the 4th commandment and not obeying the Sabbath and keeping it holy. We are not talking about the weekly Sabbath, for the Jews didn’t have a problem with that; but they did have a problem with the Shemitah/Sabbath year and Jubilee.
 
In approximately 539 BC, Daniel the prophet was still in Babylon and was reading the prophecy of Jeremiah regarding the 70-year captivity. Realizing the 70 years were nearing its completion, Daniel began to pray, asking God’s forgiveness for the sins of his people and pleading for the restoration of Jerusalem and Israel’s imminent return to their land. It was a truly righteous prayer and is found in Daniel 9:1-19. Before Daniel could finish his prayer, the Angel Gabriel appeared and gave him the prophecy of the Seventy Weeks (Sevens) as outlined in Daniel 9:24-27.
 
By praying fervently to God and asking for forgiveness of Israel’s corporate sins, Daniel was attempting to bring about the promise of restoration found in Leviticus 26:40-42: “But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, with their unfaithfulness in which they were unfaithful to Me, and that they also have walked contrary to Me, and that I also have walked contrary to them and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they accept their guilt— then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and My covenant with Isaac and My covenant with Abraham I will remember; I will remember the land.”
 
However, I believe Daniel forgot the remainder of this chapter. “The land also shall be left empty by them, and will enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them; they will accept their guilt, because they despised My judgments and because their soul abhorred My statutes. Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, nor shall I abhor them, to utterly destroy them and break My covenant with them; for I am the Lord their God. But for their sake I will remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God: I am the Lord” (Leviticus 26:43-45).
 
The angel Gabriel told Daniel that there was to be an additional 490 years (70 weeks of years) of judgment for the children of Israel because of their disobedience and neglect of the Sabbath years. Evidently, the children of Israel had neglected 70 of them. God was fulfilling his word that was given in Leviticus 21:18, whereas God promised his people that if they did not obey Him, He would punish them 7 more times for their sins. Mercifully, He did not punish them further, as He described in verses 21, 24, and 28. God would punish them by way of subjugation and separation from the promised land of Israel and Jerusalem so the land would get the sabbath rest that it didn’t get while they were in the land.
 
Here are Gabriel’s words: “Seventy weeks (of years) are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy” (Daniel 9:24).
 
Gabriel then explained the timing and breakdown of the 490-year judgment. “Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times” (Daniel 9:25).
 
It would begin when a command or decree was issued for the Jews to return to the land of Israel/Jerusalem and restore and build Jerusalem (streets and wall to be rebuilt). After 69 weeks or 483 years, the long-awaited Messiah would come, only to be killed, and then the city and the sanctuary would be destroyed again. Can you imagine Daniel’s shock and dismay when hearing of this heavenly verdict?

The Iranian regime is nearing an atomic milestone in acquiring nuclear weapons. In the meantime, the Biden administration does not seem to have a clear agenda to prevent the mullahs from going nuclear. Even the New York Times reported that the Islamic Republic is "within roughly a month of having enough material to fuel a single nuclear weapon".
 
Ever since the Biden administration assumed office, the Iranian regime has been accelerating its enrichment of uranium to "near weapons grade". As the International Atomic Energy Agency pointed out:
 
"Since 23 February 2021 the Agency's verification and monitoring activities have been seriously undermined as a result of Iran's decision to stop the implementation of its nuclear-related commitments".
 
The threats of a nuclear-armed Iran must not be underestimated. First, the regime has frequently threatened to wipe a whole country -- Israel -- off the map. One of the core pillars of the Islamic Republic has been destroying the Jewish state. It is also one of the religious prophecies of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, as well as his successor, the current Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, that Israel will be eventually erased from the face of the earth.
 
General Hossein Salami, the chief of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has made the Iranian regime's plans vehemently clear: "Our strategy is to erase Israel from the global political map," he stated on Iran's state-controlled Channel 2 TV in 2019. Khamenei has also published a 416-page guidebook, titled "Palestine," about destroying Israel.
 
Second, the theocratic establishment of the mullahs is anchored in prioritizing the pursuit of its revolutionary ideals, which include exporting its Islamist system of governance to other countries around the world. The mullahs, in fact, incorporated this critical mission into its constitution. The preamble stipulates: "The mission of the constitution is to create conditions conducive to the development of man in accordance with the noble and universal values of (Shiite) Islam." The regime's constitution goes on to say that it "provides the necessary basis for ensuring the continuation of the revolution at home and abroad."
 
Since 1979, by deploying its IRGC and its elite branch, the Quds Force, Iran's leaders have managed to expand Tehran's influence throughout the Middle East from Yemen to Lebanon, Syria, and the Gaza Strip through its proxy groups, including the Houthi militia, Hezbollah, Hamas and the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), a conglomerate of more than 40 militia groups in Iraq.
 
Third, there is the dangerous likelihood of nuclear weapons falling into the hands of Iran's proxy and militia groups, or that the Iranian regime will share its nuclear technology with its proxies and allies such as the Syrian regime or the Taliban in Afghanistan.
 
The Iranian regime has already been setting up weapons factories abroad, and manufacturing advanced ballistic missiles and weapons in foreign countries, including in Syria. These include precision-guided missiles with advanced technology to strike specific targets.
 
As Iran's regime is already supplying advanced weapons to its proxies, what would stop it from sharing its nuclear technology to empower its proxies and militia groups, to undermine its perceived adversaries' national security interests and to expand its reach? The latest UN annual report revealed this year that the Houthis have been receiving significant amount of weapons from the Iranian regime: "An increasing body of evidence suggests that individuals or entities in the Islamic Republic of Iran supply significant volumes of weapons and components to the Houthis."
 
Iran has for years been designated by the US Department of State as a "State Sponsor of Terrorism". One of Iran's diplomats, Assadollah Assadi, is on trial in Europe for a failed terror bombing plot in Paris, France, where a "Free Iran" rally was held. Iran continues to use undercover agents or dispatch troops. Several countries, including Kuwait, have detained more than a few Iranians trying to infiltrate their country. Tehran has been found using its embassies and diplomats in foreign countries for such purposes.
 
Just as telling, Iran does not treat its own citizens particularly well. In Iran, as recent reports document:
 
"Security forces used unlawful force to crush protests. The authorities continued to arbitrarily detain hundreds of protesters, dissidents and human rights defenders, and sentenced many to imprisonment and flogging. Women, as well as ethnic and religious minorities, faced entrenched discrimination as well as violence. Enforced disappearances, torture and other ill-treatment were committed with impunity on a widespread and systematic basis. Judicial corporal punishments amounting to torture, including floggings and amputations, were imposed. Fair trial rights were systematically violated. The death penalty was used as a weapon of political repression. Executions were carried out, one in public and some others in secret. Those executed included people aged under 18 at the time of the crime. The authorities continued to commit crimes against humanity by systematically concealing the fate and whereabouts of several thousand political dissidents forcibly disappeared and extrajudicially executed in secret in 1988. Mass graves believed to contain their remains were subject to ongoing destruction."
 
If this is how Iran's leadership treats its own citizens, what makes anyone think they would treat their perceived adversaries any better? As others have asked: If Hitler had acquired a nuclear weapon, do you think he would have hesitated to use it?
 
If the predatory regime of Iran's mullahs obtains nuclear weapons, one can only imagine how much more hostile and emboldened it will become. Once such leaders have weapons of mass destruction, it is far more costly in life and treasure to try and stop them. Iran might not even need to use its nuclear weapons; the threat should be more than enough.

A new eruption has begun at the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the island of La Palma, Canary Islands, on September 19, 2021. This is the first eruption at the volcano in 50 years.
 
Social media sites have been buzzing about the possibility that this eruption will cause a large chunk of the western flank of the island to slide into the Atlantic Ocean. The collapse would generate a mega-tsunami that would devastate numerous nations.
 
The liberal media have been doing everything they can to downplay the danger. News sites are saying a Tsunami reaching the East Coast due to the Spanish volcano is highly unlikely because experts and government leaders said so.
 
After announcing the eruption on Twitter on Sept. 19, the U.S. Geological Survey said the tsunami threat remained local, debunking users’ claims that a “mega-tsunami” would happen.
 
According to George Pararas-Carayannis, editor of the journal Science of Tsunami Hazards, “the threat of mega tsunami generation from massive flank failures of island stratovolcanoes has been greatly overstated.”
 
“Massive flank failures of island stratovolcanoes are extremely rare phenomena, and none have occurred within recorded history,” says Pararas-Carayannis. “Recent numerical modeling studies… have been based on incorrect assumptions of volcanic island slope instability, source dimensions, speed of failure and tsunami coupling mechanisms.”
 
We’ve never had a super volcano erupt in recorded history, but we know from the Geological and fossil records that they are a very real danger. When Mount St. Helen exploded in 1980, the lateral blast was also a very rare phenomenon. Tell that “rare” story to the people who witnessed super-heated gas come at them at 300 miles per hour.
 
The 1755 Lisbon earthquake was even used to downplay the tsunami. It, which was measured at an 8.4 on the Moment Magnitude scale, created waves that reached across the Atlantic Ocean but didn’t go higher than 3 feet in wave length.
 
Not all earthquakes cause large tsunamis, so it’s insane to use the Lisbon earthquake as an example. Tsunamis result from a move off land that transfers massive amounts of energy to ocean water. The epicenter of the Lisbon quake could have been several miles below ground.
 
The danger that we face from Cumbre Vieja dates back to the 1940s. After a 1949 eruption, ruptures were found on the surface of the island. In a 2001 study by Simon Day and various colleagues, the ruptures were seen as “ominous” because they were evidence of a subsurface detachment. In other words, the crack doesn’t stop at the surface.
 
For about 10 miles, a large portion of the volcano’s western flank slid 13 feet towards to ocean. It has been sliding slowly over the years. This new eruption is very dangerous because it could trigger the flank to finally fail.
 
The lava under the island of La Palma is generating a massive amount of steam pressure. This pressure on the western flank could be what overcomes the friction that is currently preventing the flank from collapsing.
 
A block of rock approximately 250 cubic miles would break off, traveling into the sea at a speed of up to 200 miles per hour. The disintegration of the rock would produce a debris-avalanche deposit extending 37 miles from the island. The energy released by the collapse would be equal to the electricity consumption of the entire United States in half a year.
 
The greatest effects are predicted to occur north, west and south of the Canaries. On the West Saharan shore, waves are expected to reach heights of 300 feet from crest to trough, and on the north coast of Brazil, waves over 80 feet high are anticipated. Florida and the Caribbean, the final destinations in the North Atlantic to be affected by the tsunami, will have to brace themselves for receiving 60-foot-high waves some eight to nine hours after the landslide. Towards Europe, wave heights will be smaller, but substantial tsunami waves will hit the Atlantic coasts of Britain, Spain, Portugal and France.
 
I am very concerned about the Cumbre Vieja volcano. I’m not worried about my life since I live 175 feet above sea level. Anyone living in Miami would have no place to go if the warning went out that La Palma had failed. The central point of the state is only 17 feet above sea level.
 
I do think the volcano will trigger a mega-tsunami because I think this type of event is something tailor-made for the tribulation. We have been staying down a likely financial tsunami for 20 years, so La Palma is just one more impending danger to add to the list.
 
When Jesus returns to earth and generates some type of pulse that will cause every mountain and island to move, the flanks of many islands will certainly collapse into the sea. If La Palma is still standing, it will certainly add to the calamity. His return will be very glorious, but it will also be very terrifying to the lost.
 
“The sky receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved from its place” (Revelation 6:14).

If you feel like global events are about to hit a dramatic turning point, you are definitely not alone. Lately, I have been hearing from so many people that are feeling such a sense of dread about the days that are ahead of us. It kinds of reminds me of the waning days of 2019. If you go back and review my articles and my interviews from that period, you will see that I repeatedly warned that I had such a bad feeling about 2020. At the time, that didn’t make a lot of sense to some people, because life was still relatively normal. But then the COVID pandemic came along and the world went completely nuts. Well, now I am sensing another huge wave of trouble, and countless others are feeling the exact same way.
 
Normally, I tend to focus my articles on things that just happened in the news. But today I want to talk about the bigger picture because we have reached such a dangerous time in our history. The events of the past couple of years have put us on a very alarming trajectory, and I believe that we are rapidly approaching a point of no return.
 
There are still a lot of people out there that believe that some sort of a magic solution will suddenly be found and life will revert to normal. Sadly, that isn’t going to happen. Nobody has a “silver bullet”, and men on white horses are not going to come riding in to save us.
 
At this moment, the stage is being set for so many of the things that I warned about in Lost Prophecies and 7 Year Apocalypse. Great natural disasters are occurring all over the planet, extreme weather events are playing havoc with worldwide crop production, global hunger is on the rise, we are facing a supply chain crisis of epic proportions, and I have written numerous articles in recent weeks about the growing shortages that we are witnessing.
 
Meanwhile, the pandemic continues to rage on, and now we are being told that this virus will be with us indefinitely. Of course many believe that how national governments have responded to the pandemic has been even worse than the pandemic itself. We are seeing civil unrest and mass protests all over the globe as ordinary citizens lash out against the alarming rise of authoritarianism all around us. We have seen so much chaos and death over the past couple of years, and there will be so much more in the years ahead. Millions upon millions of people have already died, but what we have seen so far is just the tip of the iceberg.
 
As I discussed a few days ago, this is also a time of wars and rumors of wars. Needless to say, military conflict will take many of our current problems to an entirely new level. Sadly, most Americans have absolutely no idea that we are moving toward war even now.
 
But most Americans can see the product shortages that are growing all around us. At this point, the supply chain crisis has gotten so bad that the mainstream media can’t stop talking about it. On a very basic level, our economic infrastructure is breaking down, and this is something that is happening all over the world.
 
Originally we were told that things would be “getting back to normal” by this point, but now we are being told that the shortages are going to be getting even worse in the months ahead. Earlier today, I came across a video in which Glenn Beck detailed why he is extremely concerned about this. I think that Glenn did a really good job of communicating the urgency of the crisis that we are now facing, and I hope that people will share his video with as many people as they can.

There are some that have used the word “hell” to describe the past couple of years, but the truth is that they aren’t even worth comparing to what is still ahead of us.
 
But no matter what comes along, you can get through this.
 
I have heard from so many people that are scared about what is to come, and it is okay to be honest about our emotions. If you truly understand the bigger picture, the gravity of what we are dealing with will definitely weigh on you. But there is no reason to be afraid. You were born for such a time as this, and you were placed at this specific moment in human history for a reason.
 
Since I write about such difficult topics, some people out there have suggested that I must be deeply depressed. But the truth is that my wife and I are not depressed at all. We are not on any pills, we don’t have to see any psychologists and we don’t walk around in a state of gloom all the time.
 
That is because we know who we are, we know where we are going and we understand how the story ends. All of human history has been building up to a grand crescendo, and we get to be here for it.
 
There is no other time in all of human history that I would have rather lived than right here, right now.
 
But if your life is defined by the system that the elite have established, and if what you care about are the material possessions that the system has provided for you, then the years ahead are going to be exceedingly painful for you.
 
Because the truth is that the system is dying.
 
Everything that can be shaken will be shaken, and we are going to see horrors that are far beyond what most people would dare to imagine right now.
 
But for those that are living for the things that really matter, this will be an incredibly exciting time to be alive.
 
If you have not been paying much attention to global events, now is the time for you to wake up. So many of the pieces of the puzzle are coming together simultaneously, and so many of the major things that the watchmen have been warning about are on the verge of taking place.
 
I will have so much more to say about all of this in the days ahead. Be strong and keep the fire burning, because the times that are approaching are going to greatly challenge all of us.

You know things have turned upside-down when…Rioters in the Northwest are occupying police stations, making parts of cities war zones, burning and looting businesses and are encouraged to do so by leftist politicians, including the current Vice President of the United States. At the same time people who are standing up in school board meetings to challenge a Marxist curriculum and mask and vaccine mandates for children who are not at risk are now being monitored by the FBI as possible domestic terrorists—this, at the request of the respective associations for school principals and school boards. This signals that it is OK to break the law by burning buildings, but it’s not OK to question the people you elected.
 
You know things have turned upside-down when…the federal government is jack-booting employers into mandating that every employee be vaccinated or lose their job. At the same time, the federal government has opened the border to illegal migrants, does not require them to be vaccinated against the disease the government claims is a pandemic caused by the unvaccinated, and is resettling these people in various parts of the country. You know things have turned-upside down when…the federal government is in charge of life-saving monoclonal antibody distribution, but is withholding it from states that are majority Republican and have spikes in COVID 19 hospitalizations and deaths.
 
You know things have turned upside-down when…government agency after government agency studying the effectiveness of the fight against COVID 19 are showing mathematic proof that vaccinations lose their efficacy after four months, the majority increase in cases and hospitalizations are driven by the vaccinated, and the vaccinated are dying from COVID 19 variants. At the same time, the federal government is peddling the narrative that COVID 19 is a pandemic of the unvaccinated, is refusing to acknowledge that treatments using ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine are effective, and that preventative measures such as quercetin and zinc also work—all methods that are less expensive and save lives.
 
These are just a few of the upside-down issues facing this country because of Marxist agenda-driven craziness. And there is much more to come unless We the People start putting our collective foot down and say “enough is enough.” Ephesians 6:12 explains this situation, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” The solution is found in the next verse: “Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” If talk could get it done, these issues would be far gone. Time to let our yes be yes and our no, absolutely no. For we and our posterity are in constant crisis because of, say it with me…Stupidocrisy.

Have you’ve ever eaten something and then realized that it had gone beyond its shelf life? That isn’t a happy experience, is it? I’m glad there isn’t a predetermined shelf life for the promises of God. When God makes a promise or when He establishes a covenant, He keeps it.
 
God established a covenant with Israel through their father, Abraham. He said, “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (Genesis 12:2–3 NKJV).
 
Also, in Romans 9–11 we read about God’s special relationship with Israel. Thus, anyone who has chosen to bless the Jewish people, and I think by extension, the nation Israel, will be blessed. And anyone who oppresses or attacks the Jewish people, and by extension, the nation Israel, will face the ramifications of it as well.
 
We owe a great debt to the Jewish people because it is through the Jews that we received our Scripture. And it is through the Jews that Jesus, our Messiah, came. God keeps His promises, and the four-thousand-year-old promise that God made to Abraham doesn’t have a shelf life. It’s still good.
 
One of the ways we know that God keeps His promises is because of His faithfulness to the Jewish people—the chosen people, the very apple of His eye.
 
God made a covenant with the Jews that He is never going to break, and God has made a covenant with the church that He will not break, either. He has kept His promises to them, and He will keep His promises to us as well.
