For my more seasoned readers, let's say you could travel back in time and revisit a moment in your life. You're not going back to change the past, but simply to sit as a silent guest and listen in on a conversation you might have had back then. Let's say you decide to go back to the year 1993 when you and a friend are in a restaurant having lunch. At some point the conversation steers into the signs of the times and when you think the Lord will return. Your friend might mention the fact that the year 1993 is exactly seven years from the end of the millennium which means the Rapture is near. One of you might add in Hosea 6:2 for good measure to seemingly shore up this idea that there is some significance to the coming year 2000. You overhear yourself confidently mention the fact that the nation Israel is the supersign, and it's been 44 years since Israel became a nation again. You discuss the merits of a forty-year generation, but it seems since the 1948 date didn't pan out in 1988, perhaps the time might in fact start from the unification of Jerusalem in 1967. However, the idea of waiting until 2007 seems very unpalatable and too far off to be taken seriously. Now the conversation turns back to the signs of the times. The discussion turns to the recent and unexpected presidential election of a relatively unknown democrat governor named Bill Clinton. While you don't really see America in bible prophecy, you are not really sure how she disappears apart from the Rapture because the economy is strong, the nation still largely self-identifies as a 'Christian nation,' and America still seemed like America. You might mention the recent Gulf War in Kuwait as a fulfillment of wars and rumors of war and how Saddam Hussein could easily fill out the role of the Antichrist. You might even mention the increasing use of credit cards to make purchases and the potential for UPC barcodes to be the fulfillment of the mark of the beast. However, as you begin to go over the signs in more depth, you and your friend realize there are still so many things that don't make sense. There are things you aren't quite sure about because you can't see how they happen. Things like how this relatively new thing called the internet will play into the Antichrist's coming kingdom. Things like how the barcode gets on your hand or forehead, and how that controls all buying and selling around the world when cash was still king. Things like how the collapse of the evil empire (the Soviet Union) just left a messy and uncertain future for mother Russia. You still can't see how Iran, Turkey, and Russia come to form some monstrous Magog coalition when Turkey and Israel are still friends, and Russia is now becoming democratic. You don't even mention Iran, because you both know that nation is still recovering after a devastating eight-year war with Iraq. Furthermore, you don't know which of the 11 nations in the European Union will drop out to make it an even, ten-nation confederacy? As fascinating as this conversation has become, you both come to the conclusion that there are still too many unknown variables for it to make sense. You both admit that you were in the last days (in the Hebrew 1:1 sense of the word), and if that is true, then the end didn't seem quite as bad as you thought it would be. The picture was there, but there were still too many unanswered questions. As you get up to pay the bill, the one definitive conclusion you both arrive at is that while the end is near, neither of you could see it going much further than the year 2000. You certainly couldn't see it going further than 2008, which seemed so far into the future it was bordering on science fiction territory. Does this conversation sound familiar to anyone? I am using 1993 as a random number, but we could go back 10, 15, or 20 years and see that much of what is happening now, was still a mystery then. It was a mystery largely because we were limited to the information available to us at the time. Now, ask yourself these questions in the present time. Can we see our nation and world going on (i.e., the status quo) another 15 years into our future? Are the signs of the times still foggy and vague, or are they becoming increasingly clear? While it is true that we also can't see into the future, much of what is laid out in the Bible is manifesting itself into a series of possible and highly realistic scenarios. Are we struggling with things like the Gog-Magog alliance? The Mark of the Beast technology? The one world government? A one world currency? The destruction of Damascus? The post-modern and post-Christian America? The demise of the US apart from the Rapture? The Psalm 90:10 application to Israel? I think these things are becoming crystal clear. Assessment “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” Daniel 12:4 I think one of the more underrated signs is the explosion of prophetic understanding regarding what is coming upon the world in these last days. I mean, it's becoming so obvious now that even non-Christians are starting to see it. Think about it this way, what is becoming increasingly obvious to even the most casual of laypersons, is something the greatest eschatological minds of the past two thousand years struggled mightily with understanding. Here is something else to take into consideration. The four horsemen of the apocalypse, are the first four seal judgments the Lord Jesus Christ unleashes upon the earth. He does this because nobody else in the universe can do it. He is the only One who is worthy to take the scroll from the Father's hand and then open them. But consider this. We are starting to see these horsemen's shadow form in our day. We are starting to hear the hoofbeats of the riders in our day. What this means is Satan is trying to get ahead of Jesus' opening of the seals, and preemptively break prophecy by making these happen before Jesus is ready to execute them. Obviously, we know this can't happen until after the rapture of the church because the rapture is what sets the stage for these things to come about. Remember the boundaries in Luke 17:26-30: things are normal until the rapture, and then sudden destruction and judgment. Not the other way around. The days of Noah and Lot certainly can't apply to the time inside the 70th Week. So what do the horsemen represent again? White Horse: regional/global government- the establishment of the Antichrist's kingdom The popularization of globalist and regional systems: BRICS, AUKUS, Agenda 2030, the Great Reset, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the World Economic Forum, etc. that is creating the framework for the ten kings, and ultimately, the Antichrist Red Horse: peace taken from the earth Currently, there are 30 active conflicts in the world today, with violence soaring through crime in almost every nation that will give governments the justification to increasingly fast-track weapons technologies and artificial intelligence Black Horse: economic collapse and ruin 87% of the nations in the world struggling with inflation, energy, and food shortages, and a staggering national debt that will be the justification for first, regional CBDCs and then, a global digital currency Pale Horse: global pestilence and death the rise of epidemics and pandemics, and the government's exploitation of management by crisis through planned releases that will first condition the global population, then justify the implementation of biotechnology into the skin So if we are starting to see these world leaders (who are influenced by dark spiritual forces) driving their human puppets to meet a 2030 deadline, it means are enemy is privy to information most are somehow not seeing. Most likely, because of its proximity to the 2000th anniversary of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Let us not forget that they (the demonic hordes led by Satan) were there when Christ was crucified and rose from the dead victorious. That event, above any other, is painfully and permanently etched into their memories and they are extremely sensitive to its significance. We must also realize that God has a say in all this. As is always the case, He loves to throw monkey wrenches into the enemy's best-laid plans. Conclusion In order to not be blinded by the present, let us look back at Christ's first coming to see if there is any correlation between then, and the soon rapture of the church. We say rapture because this is the true wildcard or black swan event that Satan can't know. Nor can anyone for that fact. However, although the rapture isn't directly connected to the official start of the 70th Week of Daniel (aka...The seven-year Tribulation), it does set the stage for all of the highly chronicled and subsequent events to follow. We know according to the Old Testament that the coming of the promised Messiah would have had to occur between two specific events:1) the passing of Israel's ability to fully govern itself (Gen. 49:10) and the destruction of the Second Temple (Dan. 9:26). Not only were these prophetic texts given centuries in advance but they were accompanied by prophetic proofs that would verify its soon fulfillment (John 18:31, Luke 19:41-44, rabbinical texts, and Josephus Antiquities 20:9). Dr. Mark Eastman does an amazing job articulating this in his chapter (The Time of Messiah's Coming) from his book, The Search for the Messiah. Below is his summary. "In our examination of Messianic prophecy and ancient rabbinical interpretations, we have seen a number of indicators which pinpointed the time of Messiah's coming. According to the ancient Jewish scholars, the Savior was to come:
Remarkably, after 70 C.E., none of these criteria would ever exist again! However, when Jesus was growing up in Nazareth, the scepter had not passed from Judah, the Second Temple was still standing, and the fifth millennium after creation was at hand. Messiah had come, the scepter was removed, then the Second Temple was destroyed, just as Daniel had predicted." Thus, the window for Christ's first coming was roughly 64 years (6-7AD - 70AD). This begs the question as to whether there will be an equal (or similar) window of time for Christ's rapture of His church, and if so, can we know it? So if we are measuring when Israel regained her national authority (1948- 75 years) or reunified her capital Jerusalem (1967- 56 years), is one of those things we'll have to wait and see. Since we know 'no man knows the day or hour', we aren't going to know specifically when the rapture happens, but that does not mean we can't know anything about His two-stage return (rapture then second coming) to establish His kingdom upon the earth when He rules from the throne of David (2 Sam. 7:16, Luke 1:31-33, Rev. 11:15, Zech. 14:9). Here are some thoughts on the subject. Jesus explicitly stated He would come back (we can implicitly trust Him on this)
He implied that His return would be after a long time (2,000 years is a long time)
We won't know specifically, but the bible states we should recognize the season (convergence)
My theory on this is, just as it would have been possible (possible, not popular) to see the end extending forward thirty years into the future from 1993, it would be equally impossible to apply that same thirty years standard from 2023 to 2053. The reason it was possible then (1993) and not possible now (2023), is simply due to the reality of how far we've come and how fast the world is pressing forward into the framework for the first four seal judgments (four horsemen). Furthermore, technological advances are happening so quickly that they threaten to outpace the technological capabilities listed in the book of Revelation (global surveillance, global communication, human armies, etc.) While it's hard to understand why Satan would want to press the fast-forward button on what will ultimately be his demise, perhaps he's doing it in an attempt to break prophecy by achieving those prophesied ends (i.e., the Beast kingdom) before Christ's pre-ordained timeline. In other words, he's attempting to force God's hand ahead of the coming official 2000th anniversary (2033) IF that is the standard by which God is using. But just like our 1993 selves, we too are limited by what we can know and see in our own day. This is why Bible prophecy is crucial to our understanding of the 'whole counsel of God.' God gives us a sneak peek by way of an outline to know what is coming upon the earth, and in what order. Albeit, what we can know and see now is head and shoulders above what we could back then, nevertheless, we are still limited to our present. However, given the speed and pace at which bible prophecy is being fulfilled, should be an indicator of the nearness of His return. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near. There have even been duels fought as part of the process, with, for example, Alexander Hamilton being killed by Aaron Burr. So it is not surprising that a sin-drenched national milieu has produced Mafia-like shakedowns and extortion, blackmail, and every other nefarious political tactic. We have seen it time after time, issue after issue. Leaders of movements wanting their way politically –these usually pushing demands involving forcing American taxpayers to pay for their more often than not ungodly plans— threaten businesses and even elected authorities in order to get their way. Whereas Mafioso might urge a business to take out their insurance against destruction of their business –or even breakage of their knees, these political shake-down artists operate similarly. They often suggest that an elected official vote and/or implement plans the shakedowners want –as protection against having the shakedown organization (often a race-based monocracy) work against the extorted elected official’s political futures. It has become the American way of local, state, and national politics. And as I believe biblically prophetic progression has reached the end of this Church Age, I think it is probably accurate to say–as Obama’s one-time pastor Jeremiah Wright might say—America’s chickens have come home to roost. The title for this commentary, Shaking down Sodom, is meant to convey yet again how our beloved nation seems to fit the Sodom of Lot’s day. Jesus foretold that things would be like they were in those wicked times in Sodom, when God will suddenly and without remedy cast judgment upon an incorrigible, ungodly, rebellious people. This will be done, just as when the Lord first removed Lot, whom He viewed as righteous. It will be the Rapture that removes God’s children and begins bringing to an end through judgment and wrath mankind’s final rebellion against Heaven’s intended order. The United States fits the Luke 17:28-30 Sodom model, as I’ve written before. Of all nations on the planet presently, many in severely failing economic situations, America is still going along pretty much business as usual, just as Sodom of Lot’s day. Beneath that business-as-usual flow, however, beats the heart of wickedness perhaps matched by no other nation on earth. Our technological advancement, along with unparalleled freedoms, has produced a level of evil unavailable to any other generation. And this brings me to the point I hope to make. Having reached this Sodom-like level, America is ripe for a shakedown of monumental proportion. As a matter of fact, Satan’s desired installation of his Antichrist regime, it seems to me, cannot be achieved so long as this constitutional republic as configured since its founding stands. It must be destroyed–or at least disassembled. And in that regard, we have been and are presently witnessing such a shakedown on a global scale. The Ephesians 6 12 human minions within the UN, the World Economic Forum, and other New World Order institutional bodies, are stripping America’s wealth–and even more profoundly—America’s structure, once moored and governed by Judeo-Christian principles. And, again in my opinion, many within our representative government at the national level are willing to allow this undoing of our nation out of motives governed by the desire for personal wealth and power. Those who understand what is truly happening to our country recognize the collusion and subterfuge taking place within the federal government. We have observed and chronicled once American protective agencies like the FBI, CIA, and others while they became totally politicized and joined to the globalists’ cabal. They have made American citizens the targets for purposes of bringing the nation into compliance with all plans global. We have watched these forces, now turned totally to the dark side, in my view,do all within their collective power to bring down an America-First president. And they have, in effect, managed to do just that. We have watched, standing by almost helplessly, while elections were and are still being stolen. Again, seemingly because of desire to achieve personal wealth and power, elected representatives of both major political parties have chosen to not rock the boat in which they float within the Washington swamp. It is indeed a uniparty –as charged—that we are now, it seems, becoming enslaved by–as the American electoral process no longer exists as intended by the founding fathers. This American president, likely compromised by conflict of interest with China, Ukraine, and other international entities, along with the military-industrial complex warned about by President Dwight Eisenhower, has the nation bogged in commitments that drain America’s wealth by trillions of dollars –which, incidentally, we no longer possess. Yet this once-great nation continues to stand, although shaken by the shakedown minions both external and internal. Like Sodom of Lot’s day, business as usual within the US even seems to hold up the collapse of much of the rest of the world. The most stringent efforts of the Ephesians 6:12 shakedown artists–the powers and principalities, both human and demonic—have not yet succeeded in bringing America down so they can plunder her wealth. And they won’t succeed in doing so by their ever-increasing wicked efforts. Like in the case of Sodom in Lot’s day, America –and the entire, wicked world system, will come crashing down by the shaking God’s judgment will bring. It will occur at the Rapture of all believers in Jesus Christ. Here, again, is how to avoid being a victim of the coming, catastrophic world collapse, and instead become one of God’s children taken to their eternal home by the Lord Jesus Christ. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Sadly, most of us will soon forget about that story because so many other examples of extreme violence will be making headlines. Our blood-soaked culture has produced an entire generation of young people that has become desensitized to violent acts, and that should deeply alarm all of us. A lot of Americans tend to focus on the rise in violent crime rates in our major cities, but the truth is that violence can suddenly erupt literally anywhere in this current environment. Once upon a time, mass shootings were quite rare in the United States. Sadly, that is no longer true. According to the New York Times, there were 648 documented mass shootings last year… The Gun Violence Archive counted 648 mass shootings in 2022. Of those shootings, 21 involved five or more fatalities, including the attack at a Walmart in Chesapeake, Va., on Nov. 22 and the shooting at an L.G.B.T.Q. nightclub in Colorado Springs on Nov. 19 that left five people dead. Just think about those numbers for a moment. We had almost two mass shootings per day in 2023. They have become so common that most of them barely make a blip in the news. Could it be possible that one of the reasons why this is happening is because our entertainment has become so saturated with acts of extreme violence? By the time the average child finishes elementary school, that child has seen approximately 8,000 murders on television. And by the time the average child reaches the age of 18, that child has seen approximately 200,000 violent acts on television. When will we finally admit that we have a major problem on our hands? When I was growing up, I never worried for a single moment that someone might bring a gun to my school and start shooting. Now such a thing happens all the time. But I didn’t expect to be reading about a six-year-old boy shooting his teacher. Somehow, a six-year-old boy was able to take a loaded gun with him to his elementary school, and the result was a great tragedy… The six-year-old boy who intentionally fired a gun at his first-grade teacher was moments away from having the weapon confiscated from him and may never be charged with a crime because of his age. Abby Zwerner, a first-grade class at Richneck Elementary School in Newport News, Virginia, had just finished reading a story and were about to head to an art lesson when the youngster pulled out the handgun. ‘She was going to confiscate it, and that’s when he shot,’ Brittaney Gregory, whose son was also in the class, told the Washington Post. At this point, I don’t know why anyone would want to teach in our public schools. The pay is extremely low in many states, and these days there is a chance that you could be physically attacked by one of your students at any moment. Fortunately, the teacher that was shot by that six-year-old boy is currently in stable condition… Teacher Abby Zwerner, 25, is stable after the life-threatening attack on Friday. She was shot at point-blank range – and the bullet went through her hand and into her chest. Let us hope that she is able to make a full recovery, because we certainly can’t afford to lose any good teachers. In many cases, school districts are having to put any warm bodies that they can find in front of students. For example, an art teacher in New Jersey that also happened to be a drug addict recently overdosed on fentanyl right in front of his students… A New Jersey middle school teacher is facing charges after he overdosed on fentanyl in front of a classroom of students. Frank Thompson, 57, an art teacher at Roosevelt Intermediate School, was found unconscious and unresponsive by a school resource in a second-floor classroom after 9:00 a.m. on November 29, according to the Westfield Police Department. In the old days, teachers were looked up to as role models. But these days they are often worse than the students. Sadly, similar things could be said about many of those that are supposed to be protecting us from the rising tide of violence. When I was growing up, I was taught that police officers were to be honored and respected. But way too often today they are engaged in activities that are utterly shameful… Four police officers from the Nashville suburb of La Vergne were fired for allegedly having sex on duty with a female cop, who was also fired and accused of taking off her top at what the local mayor called a ‘Girls Gone Wild’ hot tub party. Patrol officer Maegan Hall of La Vergne Police Department is at the forefront of the investigation after it was revealed in December that she ‘engaged in a sexual relationship’ with at least four male officers. What in the world has happened to us? Our culture has deteriorated so dramatically that even our women are now openly brawling in public. That is what would have happened in the old days. But in our time people have been trained to stand back and film such events because they make great material for our social media accounts. Our culture truly is coming apart at the seams all around us, and if we stay on this path it isn’t going to lead anywhere good. We desperately need to change course, but most of our leaders are not interested in a new direction. In fact, many of our leaders are some of the biggest criminals of all. So don’t expect things to get better any time soon. Unless something really dramatic happens, our blood-soaked culture is going to continue to deteriorate, and the thin veneer of civilization that we all take for granted on a daily basis is going to continue to disappear. Why did God foretell so much about Jesus’ First Advent and Second Coming? Clearly, He wanted those “with eyes to see” to have discernment and to keep their hearts attuned to the Messiah. But, insight is not automatic, and discernment eludes those whose hearts are not enlightened by the Holy Spirit. When Jesus ministered in the world, He typically taught through parables. Not only did His parables evoke word pictures that people would remember, but they also allowed Him to speak to His sheep while those outside His flock remained oblivious (Matthew 13:13). God’s prophetic Word works like that. Many grope in the darkness because they reject the light, but we who are in Christ “are not of night or of darkness” (1 Thessalonians 5:5). Jesus expects us to recognize the signs of the times (Matthew 16:2-3). He has clearly chosen to give us enough signs to offer insight — if we have eyes to see. That is not to say that prophetic signs flash before us in bright neon lights. They are often subtle. They require that our eyes adjust spiritually over time, just like night vision takes time to gain acuity. Our ministry’s Internet Evangelist, Nathan Jones, offered an analogy at our recent streaming conference; he stated that like a puzzle that reveals its picture as pieces are added, our understanding of prophecy grows as the pieces fall into place. In emphasizing the imminence of the Rapture, the “Signs of the Times” — the signs of Nature, Society, Spirituality, World Politics, Technology, and Israel — are shouting about the nearness of that glorious event. Signs of nature are all around us. As King David observed long ago, “The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge” (Psalm 19:1-2). Sadly, even with an abundance of evidence and a cosmos filled with knowledge, many lack wisdom. Even within the Church, scoffers dismiss the magnitude and majesty of what God has revealed to us (2 Peter 3:3-7). As we marvel at the Creation God has given us, we recognize the truth in Isaiah’s observation: “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God stands forever” (Isaiah 40:8). God’s prophetic Word is converging all around us. Soon, the Bright Morning Star will pierce the darkness once again (Revelation 22:16). May His light shine in your heart even now (2 Peter 1:19). Daily Jot: CDC analysis identifies dangers of COVID vaccines - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com The Proportional Reporting Ratio (PRR) analysis of the Moderna and Pfizer COVID vaccines conducted by the Centers for Disease Control indicates literally hundreds of safety signals linked to the vaccines, including twice the proportion of adverse events and seven times that of death when compared with other vaccines. Notwithstanding, the same CDC continues to push the vaccines as safe and effective. The CDC refused to make the analysis public until it was forced by a Freedom of Information Act request from The Epoch Times. These revelations possibly coincide, maybe even confirm, the astronomical increase in excess deaths among otherwise healthy people, including sudden death syndrome in many adults. The Epoch Times reports: “PRR involves comparing the incidence of a specific adverse event after a specific vaccine to the incidence after all other vaccines. A signal is triggered when three thresholds are met, according to the CDC: a PRR of at least two, a chi-squared statistic of at least four, and three or more cases of the event following receipt of the vaccine being analyzed. Chi-squared tests are a form of statistical analysis used to examine data. The results obtained by The Epoch Times show that there are hundreds of adverse events (AEs) that meet the definition, including serious conditions such as blood clotting in the lungs, intermenstrual bleeding, a lack of oxygen to the heart, and even death. The high numbers, particularly the chi-squared figures, concerned experts.” The Epoch Times reported, “The CDC’s results also show that a much higher proportion of events after COVID-19 vaccination were serious. For adults, for instance, the proportion was 11.1 percent, compared to 5.5 percent after non-COVID-19 vaccines. The proportion of deaths for adults was 15.4 percent after COVID-19 vaccination, much higher than the 2.5 percent after other shots…The newly obtained PRR results returned more than 500 adverse events larger than myocarditis and pericarditis.” Israeli professor Josh Guetzknow, a statistics expert, told Epoch Times, “We know that the signal for myocarditis is associated with something that is caused by the mRNA vaccines, so it’s more than reasonable to say that anything with a signal larger than myocarditis/pericarditis should be taken seriously and investigated.” A confidential Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine adverse event report to the FDA dated April 3, 2021 obtained by The Daily Jot listed 9 pages–472 lines and 2072 words–of “Adverse Events of Special Interest.” Side effects on pregnant women, heart conditions, blood clots, anaphylactic shock, and lack of efficacy were withheld from the public as the government propagandized that the vaccine was “safe and effective.” No wonder FDA wanted 75 years to release vaccine data, and why Pfizer filed in federal court to work with FDA to ensure “proper redactions are made.” As Jesus said in Mark 4:22, “For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light.” May it be so in this case that lives can be saved and preserved. And when that happens, all we can do is get up again. When Paul was approaching the end of his life, he wrote, “As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful” (2 Timothy 4:6–7 NLT). Notice that he didn’t say, “I ran the race.” No, he said, “I finished the race.” That is the key. It is not enough to start well; we need to finish well too. It is not enough to run fast; we need to run fast and long. This is a long-distance run, and the goal is to make it across the finish line. In 2 Peter 1:10–11 the apostle Peter urges us, “So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (NLT). Keep running, because you’re going to leave a legacy. Paul wanted to join the ranks of those who had crossed the finish line. He wanted to be in the company of those in God’s winner’s circle, men like Joshua and Caleb in the Old Testament who finished their races well. This is a long-distance run.
