I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:6-9 I spend a lot of time on here discussing Biblical Eschatology (the study of last things) primarily because 1) you don’t get it at your local church, 2) because Biblical prophecy is essential to the maturing in the faith of the believer, and 3) it is proof positive that God is real, and we are in the last moments of human history. However, it is necessary for us to re-visit those things which make our faith as a whole, unique and exclusive when compared to any other faith system, especially while discussing the issues of eternal salvation. You’ve probably seen those asinine post-modernist bumper stickers with the word “COEXIST” on them using the symbols of many different faiths as if they were all somehow equally valid (i.e., pluralism). That has to be one of the most impossible slogans ever devised by Satan because reality doesn’t give us that option. Either the God of the Bible is true, and the rest is false, or none of it really matters. The truth is, both monotheism (one God- such as in Christianity, Islam, and Judaism) and polytheism (many gods such as in Mormonism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Paganism, etc.) cannot both be true, as those faiths (either side) do not leave the adherents with that option or else invalidating their own theological authority. Moreover, when you drill into monotheism, Christianity is diametrically opposed to Islam and Judaism. Wait a minute Pete, how can Christianity be diametrically opposed to Judaism if Christianity came out of Judaism? Judaism, at least up until this point, has still refused to embrace the Jewish Messiah Yeshua as God come in the flesh. Until they do, according to the Apostle Paul, they will remain accursed with spiritual blindness (Romans 11:25). In fact, the Pauline epistle of Galatians is aimed squarely at the Judaizers (who largely agree with many of the fundamentals of our faith), and he called them accursed for adding the law back into the process of salvation. Jesus, Peter, John, and even James were clear- salvation is by grace through faith, not of works. Our good works are evidence OF our salvation, not FOR our salvation. As for Islam, well, they are in a huge pickle. Islam, which was created some 600 years after Christ, believes Jesus was just a prophet, not God come in the flesh. However, Islamists only know about Jesus from Christianity, of which, the orthodox Christian faith places Jesus squarely in the Triune Godhead. The real question for the Muslim then is, how can Jesus be a good man and a prophet of God, if He and the apostle are lying about His divinity? (John 1:3; Colossians 1:16-17, 1 Corinthians 10:4; 1 Peter 5:4, Revelation 1:7; 2:8). If Jesus is not God come in the flesh, then He is a liar and not worthy of being either a good man or a prophet. If Jesus is God come in the flesh, then it means Christianity is true and Islam a lie. Like I said, big pickle. Listed below are some of the damnable heresies about the true, living God. Also included in this list are those heretical teachings within Christendom (*) that present apostate views antithetical to what Holy Scripture teaches. In other words, they are perversions of what the Bible actually says and present a “different Jesus” to those who hold to them. Theology (the study of God)

To believe any of these is to consign oneself to eternal separation from the Creator and damnation. In other words, as bad as this world is, if proponents of these beliefs were to die in their sins tonight, this is the closest to heaven they will ever get. Remember what Jesus said; “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Matthew 7:21-23 So, what is the will of the Father in Heaven? All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:37-40 While this is not designed to be an exhaustive list of heresies, these are probably the most prominent ones we've seen in recent history. As for the heresies (not necessarily damnable), the list begins to double and triple depending on the particular biblical doctrine. For example, hyper (and ultra) dispensationalism, Amillennialism, and Preterism aren't damnable heresies in eschatology, but they sure do lead one down a dead-end path to confusion and bitterness. The same can be said for Replacement Theology, Arminianism, Calvinism, and other ecclesiological (the study of the church) confusions, etc. which are doctrines of demons designed to introduce confusion and a complexification of our Christian faith. When one hears the phrase "doctrines of demons," one tends to automatically assume it's some obvious and egregious black lie that discerning Christians will see coming a mile away. In truth, doctrines of demons are often very close to the truth, mixing in just enough falsehoods that it SEEMS reasonable and/or biblical. Spurgeon once said, "Discernment is not knowing the difference between right and wrong. It is knowing the difference between right and almost right." In fact, the most damning of heresies are very close to the Biblical truth but only stray on certain essentials. Try talking to a Mormon someday and you will be amazed at their usage of our Christian language to the point you might believe they are actually Christian. But when you drill into what they mean by the same words they use, you'll realize they mean completely different things. But the doctrine of demons will find its ultimate fulfillment, not in a worldly appeal to carnality or some subtle antichristian philosophies, but in a brazen, demand that the world worship a man empowered by Satan himself. This demand will come in the form of a biometric technology embedded into the hand or forehead as a measure of loyalty equating to six hundred sixty-six. Those on the earth will be given a choice, either take the mark or lose their life. Those who take the mark are consigning themselves to an eternity in eternal damnation. Those who refuse for the sake of Christ, will lose their lives, but gain eternal salvation and reign with Christ into eternity. Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” Revelation 14:9-11 In closing, a person of sound mind MUST believe in the essentials of the Christian faith in order to be considered a Christian. The reason I include "of sound mind" in this process is important. I believe God allows for the maturity and mental capacity of the individual to factor into any scenario. I mean a 6-year-old that comes to accept Jesus as his or her Lord and Savior, doesn't have to perfectly understand the process of Justification or the concept of the Trinity. They won't have the mental capacity to understand that, but God defaults to save them nonetheless (2 Peter 3:9). This means that the druggie in the gutter (or a thief on the cross) who cries out to Jesus to save them, can and will be saved (Luke 23:43-44, Romans 10:9-13). However, the believer then (given time to live and grow) must embrace these things in order to grow in the faith once entrusted to the saints. This list represents how the Bible God gave us describes Himself and develops our understanding of eternal salvation and the things accompanying salvation. God knows our hearts and our intentions better than even we understand them. Maranatha! While dismissing the validity of religion as a whole, Harari specifically took aim at Christianity, suggesting that AI can rewrite a new, more correct Bible. “[Artificial intelligence is the] first technology ever that can create new ideas. The printing press, radio, television, broadcast spread the ideas created by the human brain, by the human mind. They cannot create a new idea. You know Gutenberg printed the Bible in the middle of the 15th century. The printing press printed as many copies of the Bible as Gutenberg instructed it, but it did not create a single new page,” Harari stated. “It had no ideas of its own about the Bible. Is it good? Is it bad? How to interpret this, how to interpret that. AI can create new ideas [and] can even write a new Bible.” “Throughout history, religions dreamed about having a book written by a superhuman intelligence by a non-human entity,” he continued. “Every religion claims ‘our book. All the books of the other religions, humans wrote them, but our book, no, no, no, no, it came from some superhuman intelligence.'” Harari went on to claim that “in a few years, there might be religions that are actually correct. Just think about a religion whose holy book is written by an AI. That could be a reality in a few years.” The creators and advocates of artificial intelligence, by its name alone, have disseminated a critical falsehood. AI is merely man-programmed machine learning in which individuals feed information and design functions. No matter how complex the software and engineering, AI does not possess its own intelligence and cannot be severed from man’s wisdom, ignorance, and bias. Ken Ham recently addressed comments from Google co-founder Larry Page who claimed that AI will become a “digital god.” “Digital AI is developed and programmed by… sinful human beings!” Ham noted. “So, their ‘god’ will reflect that!” “Today’s AI, such as ChatGPT, is incredibly biased with leftist ideologies because it reflects the viewpoints of both those who program it and the voices it pulls from to answer questions,” he underscored. “Digital AI makes a sad god—a god crafted by humans and limited in its abilities by what we can create and program. It won’t save anyone, and it won’t turn this world into a utopia…” The World Economic Forum and other globalist entities have made a habit of openly discussing their schemes. In 2022, I wrote about a World Government Summit panel titled “Are We Ready for A New World Order?” in which Economist and White House advisor, Dr. Pippa Malgrem, stated: “What underpins a world order is always the financial system. What we are seeing in our world today is that we are on the brink of a dramatic change. Where we are about to, and I’ll say this boldly, we’re about to abandon the traditional system of money and accounting and introduce a new one. And the new one, the new accounting, is what we call blockchain. It means digital. It means having an almost perfect record of every single transaction that happens in the economy, which will give us far greater clarity over what’s going on.” Complete control over financial transactions and a new world religion “intelligently” penned by AI? The plans of the globalists bare unmistakable resemblance to what God’s Word stated will occur in the future. While Harari’s intent was to undermine the authority of the Bible, it seems he accidentally validated God’s authorship of Scripture. God, who knows the end from the beginning, told us in His Word that there would arise a worldwide dictatorship that would control the buying and selling of every person on earth. This tyrannical world government will demand participation and worship of a new world religion. At the center of this new religion will be the one the Bible refers to as “the antichrist,” “the beast,” or “lawless one” (1 John 2:18, Rev. 13, 2 Thess. 2). Instrumental in his enforcement of this new religion will be the “image of the beast.” Revelation 13:15-18 KJV – “And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.” Pastor Barry Stagner, in an episode of The Line Up, explained the possible connection between artificial intelligence and the image. “In Revelation 13 we’ve got some type of lifelike statue erected, an image of the Beast that seems to be alive and there’s a mark associated with his name, the number of his name, and the worship of the Beast. This is consistent with a lot of the things we see going on today and moving in that direction,” Stagner noted. “We know in Revelation 13, that the whole world is going to go after the Beast. All the Earth dwellers, anyone not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, are all going to be in agreement. They are all going to be on the side of the Beast. A lot of people have been talking about whether it’s artificial intelligence, this image that has life breathed into it, or seems to be lifelike. AI seems to be a pretty good candidate for how that’s going to happen.” Similar to the bias we can see within today’s artificial intelligence (machine learning), the antichrist, during the seven-year tribulation, will also insert his tyrannical worldview into the programming of AI. As Hal Lindsey, author of the Late Great Planet Earth, highlighted, “several things in Bible prophecy seem to indicate the end-times use of AI.” “For instance, Revelation 13 talks about an economic system based on the Mark of the Beast. It will require all transactions to go through the Mark system. To ensure compliance, the antichrist’s government will have to surveil everyone, all the time,” he described. “There aren’t enough people to police humanity at that level, but AI can keep constant tabs on everyone. AI can monitor the billions of cameras, computers, satellites, cash registers, phones, and everything else connected to it.” “AI will correlate and interpret that massive flow of data,” Lindsey continued. “It never sleeps; never takes a break. AI-powered robots can enforce the laws. Critics of regular police accuse them of favoritism and emotion-based prejudices. But if you defund the police, you still have the problem of crime and criminals. AI robots, on the other hand, have no emotions. They treat everyone the same. They don’t require compensation. And they can be as deadly as needed.” “We’re headed into a new world, and we’re not walking. We’re running — sprinting,” he explained. “Starting thousands of years ago, the Bible described our time. As always, God’s prophecies are proving to be true.” The Word of God did not sprout from the inspiration of man. Attacking the authenticity of the Bible places Harari in direct opposition to Christ Himself. As John 1:1-5, 14 outlines, the Word of God was “made flesh” in the person of Jesus Christ. As for the suggestion of AI rewriting the Bible, whether Harari or the AI programmers realize it, this Antichrist spirit of thinking is directly forewarned against: Revelation 22:18-19 KJV – “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” As Ken Ham further emphasized, “Don’t put your faith in a puny, man-made digital god who can’t save. Put your faith in Jesus who made us and can redeem us.” “It’s only the one true God who solves our biggest problem. He came to earth in the person of his Son, Jesus Christ, and died on the cross, paying the penalty that we deserve because of our sin. Then he rose from the grave—conquering sin and death—and offers eternal life to all who will put their faith and trust in him,” he implored. Those that put their faith in Jesus Christ and accept Him as their Lord and Savior today will not have to witness the antichrist’s wicked world governance. Those that trust the authority of God’s Word have incredible hope. Not only will Jesus rescue His bride (the church) prior to the horrors of the tribulation, but He will also be the One after seven years of God’s wrath who will bring a decisive end to the beast system that is already desired by today’s globalists. Once the pandemic subsided, global supply chains were supposed to return to normal. But now “hundreds of drugs” are in short supply in the United States, and even CNN is admitting that we are in the midst of “the worst food crisis in modern history”. As I did research for this article, I was stunned by what I discovered. Things are worse than I realized. I knew that a lot of drugs were in short supply, but it turns out that there have been shortages of many of our most basic antibiotics since last October, and now Pfizer is telling us that several types of penicillin will completely run out later this year… Pfizer will run out of several doses of penicillin, which treat syphilis, strep throat, and other infections, later this year as shortages ripple across the US supply chain. The company anticipates running out of the children’s dose of the syphilis drug Bicillin L-A by the end of June, according to a letter Pfizer posted Tuesday on the Food and Drug Administration’s website. The company says it’s prioritizing production of larger doses of Bicillin L-A, which is recommended for pregnant people with syphilis because it is the only drug that can pass through the placenta and also treat the fetus. A different Pfizer penicillin, Bicillin C-R that treats other bacterial infections but not syphilis, is expected to run out in the third quarter, which ends Sept. 30. Pfizer’s penicillin has been in shortage since April. Of course there are growing shortages of many other commonly used drugs. For example, one recent survey discovered that most cancer centers in the U.S. “are reporting shortages of commonly used chemotherapy drugs”… A recent survey found that a majority of cancer centers are reporting shortages of commonly used chemotherapy drugs used to treat a wide variety of cancers. Much of the current shortage stems from the temporary closure of a drug manufacturing facility in India that happened after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found issues in the plant’s quality control. After I first read that, I immediately had one burning question come to mind. Why in the world are we having our chemotherapy drugs manufactured in India? Once the war between the U.S. and China starts, it is going to be exceedingly difficult to get things shipped across the Pacific. So what are we going to do then? Already, certain chemotherapy drugs are in such short supply that some doctors are being forced to ration care… Cancer drugs, including widely used cisplatin and carboplatin, are in such short supply that doctors are rationing care, asking patients to drive long distances for treatment, or turning to alternative treatments with riskier side effects. This wasn’t supposed to happen. But it is happening. In fact, the New York Times is telling us that there are shortages of “hundreds of drugs” in the United States right now… Hundreds of drugs are on the list of medications in short supply in the United States, as officials grapple with an opaque and sometimes interrupted supply chain, quality and financial issues that are leading to manufacturing shutdowns. The shortages are so acute that they are commanding the attention of the White House and Congress, which are examining the underlying causes of the faltering generic drug market, which accounts for about 90 percent of domestic prescriptions. Meanwhile, global supplies of food just continue to get even tighter, and this is going to greatly affect consumers here in this country. According to Zero Hedge, global cocoa supplies are becoming extremely tight and this could push chocolate prices to dizzying heights… Cocoa prices have soared 44% over the last nine months to seven-year highs as the global cocoa bean deficit worsens for the second consecutive year. “The cocoa market has experienced a remarkable surge in prices … This season marks the second consecutive deficit, with cocoa ending stocks expected to dwindle to unusually low levels,” S&P Global Commodity Insights’ Principal Research Analyst Sergey Chetvertakov told CNBC via email. If you love chocolate, I would stock up now while you still can. In addition, Zero Hedge is also reporting that there are very serious concerns about global supply levels of sugar and coffee… With cocoa consumption at record highs in some Western countries, a worsening global bean deficit will only support higher prices. Meanwhile, sugar prices hit decade highs on global shortage fears in April. And robusta coffee prices hit a record high days ago on supply fears. There are just some grocery store aisles where inflation looks exceptionally sticky. Most of us could live without chocolate, sugar and coffee. But what about the basics? One food bank in southern Georgia is warning that they are facing a severe shortage of food and they are desperate for help… “We’re just, we’re experiencing the biggest food shortage we have in the 40 years of food banking,” CEO of Feeding the Valley Food Bank Frank Sheppard said. “And it’s pandemic related. It’s really a number of causes our federal government and state governments provided a plentiful amount of food during the pandemic to help so many more people in need. And those supply lines are just a little slow to replenish. Then you have the whole supply chain issue. Things are just taking 3, 4, 5, 10 times as long to get to us as they used to and rapid inflation is affecting a lot of people, a lot of our donors as well. So it’s really just a perfect storm, unfortunately of circumstances that has got our inventories at record low levels.” Hopefully some people will step up and help them out. But the truth is that supplies of food are only going to get tighter and tighter in the months ahead. In a previous article, I discussed the following facts… -The winter wheat harvest in Kansas this year is going to be the smallest since 1957. -U.S. corn prices are expected to soar because the Corn Belt is being hit by the worst drought in 30 years. -The size of the U.S. beef cow herd has fallen to the lowest level since 1962. -The orange harvest in Florida in 2023 will be approximately 56 percent smaller than it was in 2022. -Thanks to absolutely crazy weather patterns, approximately 90 percent of Georgia’s peach crop for this year has been wiped out. On top of everything else, now millions of Mormon crickets have invaded Nevada, and they are eating everything in sight… According to the University of Nevada in Reno, Mormon crickets eat native, herbaceous perennials (forbs), grasses, shrubs, and cultivated forage crops, reducing feed for grazing wildlife and livestock. In large numbers, their feeding can contribute to soil erosion, poor water quality, nutrient-depleted soils, and potentially cause damage to range and cropland ecosystems. Drought encourages Mormon cricket outbreaks, which may last several years (historically 5 to 21 years) and cause substantial economic losses to rangeland, cropland, and home gardens. This is particularly true as adults and nymphs of Mormon crickets migrate in a band, eating plants along their path. And of course all of this is happening in the context of a horrific global food crisis. According to one recent report, the number of people around the globe that are facing “acute food insecurity” increased by a whopping 34 percent last year… The report concluded that the number of people facing acute food insecurity in 58 countries and territories in 2022 was 258 million, and this was the highest in the seven-year history of the report, signifying a deteriorating trend in global acute food insecurity. In 2021, 193 million people in 53 countries and territories faced acute hunger, so the figure for 2022 reflected a 34 percent jump within just one year. A global famine has begun. And it will eventually get a whole lot worse. If you have not been preparing for such a scenario, I would strongly encourage you to get started. As I have detailed in this article, drug and food shortages are already here, and what we have been through so far is just the tip of the iceberg. We have a choice. The first choice is to accept the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for salvation. The next choice we have to make daily, even hourly, is to put our self-will aside and submit to Christ; to let our lives reflect our salvation. “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me” Galatians 2:20. So often I fail to honor Christ, but He continues to lead me. “Are ye able,” said the Master, “To be crucified with Me?” “Yea,” the sturdy dreamers answered, “To the death we follow Thee” That’s a good question. One every Christian should ask. Crucifixion was a brutal execution, and Jesus suffered more than any other man. He was innocent. Not only were nails driven into His hands and feet, but before sentence was passed, He was beaten unmercifully. He was given 40 lashes less one. It was said that the 40th lash would kill the man, so they showed “mercy” by only inflicting 39 lashes. God’s mercy is much better. We are sinners deserving of eternal death, but by God’s mercy, we can find forgiveness through faith in Jesus. He shed His blood for our salvation. Jesus didn’t speak up in His own defense, but went through with the beating and crucifixion as a lamb to the slaughter. So, the question is, are we able to sacrifice our self-centered lives to Him? Are we able to crucify our pride and self-will that causes us to stumble in our walk with Christ? Are we able to boldly and with confidence share the Gospel with someone who is lost and headed for eternal damnation? Jesus said “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41. We live in a very evil world filled with hatred and wickedness, but those attitudes have been in the world as long as Satan has. Peter was a follower of Jesus from the beginning of His ministry. Peter was bold, but when Jesus was arrested, Peter denied knowing Him. In time, Peter stopped denying His Lord, and became a leader of Christians. He was the one who stood up on the day of Pentecost and gave a very convicting sermon. He didn’t sugar-coat anything, but spoke to the point. Pastors today should study that sermon and stop being afraid to offend someone. Seeker friendly sermons won’t bring anybody to salvation. Peter wrote “But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear;” 1 Peter 3:14-15. Once Peter set aside his fears, he was a bold witness for Christ. Peter was indeed crucified for his faith. These are the lofty ideas we have for our own comfort and glory. Do you want to be a movie star? There’s a lot of compromise that comes with power and fame. As Christians, we need to glorify God, not our own self. “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” James 4:10. Submit your will to the Lord…crucify your pride and lofty dreams. Jesus is our example. He came to this earth willingly. He set aside the glory He had in Heaven in order to give us the only way to salvation. He set aside His glory, so we must set aside our pride. Christ knew that He would be arrested and found guilty, yet He didn’t hide. He did go to God the Father in prayer. He laid His petition before the Father, but submitted to His will. “And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.” Matthew 26:39. Can you submit to God’s will as fully as Jesus did? I try, but too often I fail. Learning to submit to God can be tough, but most of us have the problem of pride which doesn’t allow us to fully submit. Crucifixion was a very shameful according to Scripture, which says anyone who was hanged on a tree was cursed (Deuteronomy 21:22-23). The Apostle Paul referred to this. “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:” Galatians 3:13. It may be hard to swallow pride in order to submit to Christ, but He suffered a painful and shameful death, becoming sin in our place and taking our punishment. Are ye able to set aside your own lofty dreams of selfish pride in order to serve Christ? Are ye able when the anguish Racks your mind and heart with pain, To forgive the souls who wrong you, Who would make your striving vain? Have you ever been wrongfully accused of something? Most of us have, and it isn’t easy to forgive you accusers. It’s easy to spend sleepless nights thinking about how much you hurt over the wrong you suffered. “It wasn’t fair! I didn’t deserve that!!” Do you look for ways to get even with the accusers? Give them what they deserve and that will make you feel better. What did Jesus do? He forgave. The Jewish leaders arrested Him and put him through an illegal trial, the Roman soldiers inflicted pain, drove the nails, and made sure he died. He was crucified because of Adam’s sin. No one group of people can be accused of killing Jesus, but His blood was shed for all people. Jesus could have allowed His human side to resent the wrong done to Him. He could resent you and me because it was our sin, not His own, that put Him on the cross. It wasn’t nails that held Him there, it was love. As He looked down from the cross and His blood was running from His body, He saw the people responsible for His death. He saw the Jewish Pharisees, the Roman soldiers, and the regular sinners like you and me. “Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.” Luke 23:34. Those people at the foot of the cross didn’t care that Jesus had asked for them to be forgiven and they went right on sinning. How about you? He gave His life for our salvation but we treat His sacrifice lightly. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9. Are ye able to set aside your petty ways and see that Jesus’ love is for everyone, even those who have wronged you. Are ye able to remember, When a thief lifts up his eyes, That his pardoned soul is worthy Of a place in paradise? This is a tough one. We all know people who are just bad. We know them by reputation, they’re drunkards, obnoxious loudmouths, thieves, and worse. Jesus was crucified between two sinners. One mocked Him “And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, if thou be Christ, save thyself and us.” Luke 23:39. That sinner didn’t understand how much he needed Jesus’ forgiveness. There was no way out; he was dying. Still, he mocked. So many people do the same thing today. We’re all dying, and we all need Jesus’ forgiveness before we take our last breath. There was another man on a cross that day. “But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom” Luke 23:40-42. This man didn’t have time to add works to his faith. He simply asked Jesus to remember Him. He wasn’t baptized, he didn’t say a special prayer or go through religious instruction. He didn’t agree to denominational rules or prove to anyone that he was born again or display any spiritual gifts. His faith in Jesus brought salvation. It was earnest and not just a quick word or two at an altar. “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43. No matter what sin you’ve committed, it’s not too big for Jesus to forgive. The problem with humans is that we continue to condemn. Jesus forgives, but we continually condemn. Are ye able to remember that Jesus forgives sinners. He will forgive everyone who earnestly comes to Him for salvation. He forgave me, and I know He will forgive you. Are ye able when the shadows Close around you with the sod, To believe that spirit triumphs, To commend your soul to God? From the moment of conception, we all have an appointment with death. Look at most tombstones and there’s a date of birth, a hyphen, and a date of death. Unless the Rapture takes us Home, there will be a tombstone for each of us. What we do during the years indicated by the hyphen will determine where we spend eternity. We can do nothing to save ourselves, but if we believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we will spend eternity with Him. The Apostle Paul explains that our works are rewarded if they were done for God’s glory. “If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” 1 Corinthians 3:14-15. It may not seem important to you today to earn rewards, but it will be very important one day. If your works are burned up, you’ll still be saved, but you won’t have any crowns to return to Jesus. It only takes faith in Jesus to bring salvation, not works of any kind. That being said, faith in Him should bring about a changed attitude. You should no longer be self-centered and do things for your own glory. Your attitude should be to follow Christ’s example of love. Are ye able? Still the Master Whispers down eternity And heroic spirits answer, Now as then in Galilee. It’s been nearly 2,000 years since Jesus hung on the cross. Do you claim to be a Christian? How close is your walk with Him? Throughout the years, many men have led the way to a closer walk with Jesus, but it’s up to us to follow their lead. Many of those men sacrificed their lives in order to translate the Bible into a language that the common people can read and understand. Because of them, most people today have a Bible, some read it, and many people even study it. It’s more than just a book, it’s the inspired word of God. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17. As you prayerfully read Scripture, the Holy Spirit will guide you and teach you. He will give you strength to face each new day, and He will calm your fears, give you boldness in your witness, and lead you in the ways of the Lord. It isn’t your own strength that enables you to live for Jesus, but the Holy Spirit living in you that enables you to fight the good fight. When He whispers His orders to you, respond. Lord, we are able. Our spirits are Thine, Remold them, make us, like Thee, divine. Thy guiding radiance above us shall be A beacon to God, to love and loyalty Accepting Christ’s sacrifice for our redemption should bring a change within. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17. Remember that it is God who judges our hearts and knows if a sinner has truly repented. To human eyes that sinner may still look like a sinner, but the Holy Spirit is working on each of us to bring us to a closer walk with our Lord. Some Christians need to learn to stop gossiping and embracing lifestyles abhorrent to God, while some of us need to be less judgmental. With God’s help we can become more like Jesus Are ye able? Daily Jot: Another boycott target - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com Americans boycotting Target and Bud Light has had an impact, causing both companies to lose billions of dollars in sales and market caps. Moreover, causing them to hide their support—not end it, but move it out of the public eye. These companies are still donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to LGBTQ+++ organizations to fund their efforts in targeting children. Another company to add to the list is NIKE. The popular sports apparel company not only partakes in boosting the Chinese slave labor practices, but also is a strong supporter of the LGBTQ+++ agenda. NIKE even has an online toolkit to explain all the various sex terms and how to be an advocate for LGBTQ+++ in sports and at schools. Under the “Be True” branding, NIKE offers various “gender affirming” clothing articles promoted by athletes. NIKE posts on its website: “Be True is part of Nike’s broader commitment to the LGBTQIA2S+ community which focuses on recognition, advocacy, inspiration and education through community grants, employee engagement, storytelling, and product collections.” For example, the NIKE website promotes a new “We see you always, in all ways. The eye-catching design of Be True’s latest collection uses the artwork of trans man and artist Xavier Schipani to illustrate the euphoric feeling and joy of being free to express who you are.” This support by NIKE is nothing new. For example, in 2019, NIKE partnered with OUT Memphis by sponsoring a Queer Youth Field Day. The advert for the event boasts: “Our goal is to offer a fun, safe and supportive environment for all LGBTQ and Ally youth ages 13-25 to be active and have a chance to meet other like minded youth. In addition to the games we will be playing, there will be food, music, awards and resources available for youth. The first 80 individuals to pre-register are guaranteed a Nike swag bag! Come OUT and join us for a fabulous day!” The online flier came complete with a question and answer link and sign up forms for kids as young as 13. To be fair, NIKE is offering all this under the mantra of inclusivity—that, as NIKE says “All identities, bodies, and communities have the right to pursue their health and wellness goals safely, without concern or judgment.” Notwithstanding, NIKE is still targeting children and is partnering with the most radical and extreme LGBTQ+++ organizations—Human Rights Campaign, GLESN, and GLAAD—all of which target kids in school. GLESN promotes “transition” of minors without parental knowledge. Breitbart reports that NIKE has given some $600,000 to these groups to push their agenda in schools and communities. Psalm 127:3-4 says, “Children are indeed a heritage from the LORD, and the fruit of the womb is His reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are children born in one’s youth.” It’s a sad state of affairs when adults, corporations, schools and the government are slinging arrows at children rather than protecting them from predators. In fact, I think it always has been difficult. But a man who stands by his wife and children today is, in my book, a true hero. And I thank God for him. We men cannot, even for a moment, consider bailing out on the commitment we’ve made to our wives. Nor can we turn our backs on our children. To do so would be the same as deserting in the face of battle and being branded a traitor. Tragically, we live in such a selfish culture in America. And most marital problems can be traced to simple selfishness, nothing more and nothing less. Additionally, researchers have traced many of the social ills in our country today directly to the breakdown of the family and, more specifically, to the absence of the father in the home. Certainly fatherhood comes with many pressures. Some of us feel ill-equipped. We don’t think we’re up to the task. But it’s better to be an okay but learning father than to be an absent one. If you’re a dad, chances are you’re not perfect. Maybe you haven’t done everything in just the right way. Learn from your mistakes. Be there for your children. They can be very forgiving when you’re making an effort on their behalf. How important it is for us as Christian men to try and be the men God has called us to be, even in our later years, even when our children are adults and have their own children. Maybe you’re thinking, “I failed as a father.” Well, you still have time. You can still change your behavior and attitudes toward your children and try to make up for some of the time you lost. Do what you can while you can still do it.
