The way is being prepared for the ride of the four horsemen. The first rider’s approach is clearly on display, especially now that we have an entire month dedicated to the celebration of pride. As noted, I believe this rider will arrive to conquer by way of the “bow – LGBTQ flag.”
 
Preparation for the ride of the second horseman is also underway, as seen by rising global tensions which are manifesting in wars and, worse yet, in slayings in once quiet neighborhoods all across the land as division rooted in rebellion against God abounds. Remember, the second rider’s special ability is to remove peace from the earth, so people may slay one another (Rev 6:4).
 
This brings us to the third Horseman of the Apocalypse, who rides a black horse; his ride depicts great famine which will affect the entire earth wherein only the oil and wine are spared.
 
The Black Horse
 
Like the riders before Him, the third horseman rides a horse of color which depicts the nature of the rider. This horse is black, which is generally associated with lamentation and mourning. Much has happened by the time this horse and rider arrive on the scene. The first horseman has been conquering. The second horseman has brought great division, war, and bloodshed. The stage is truly set for the rider of the black steed, who will accentuate an already very dire “new normal.” Although, nothing about this time will be normal.
 
This horse, like those before it, carries a rider who has a distinct purpose, famine. Many famines have occurred throughout history; however, none have ever been universal. This famine will make all before it pale in comparison. In fact, none will escape this ride, although the rich will seemingly have a better go of it for a time.
 
The Scales of Famine
 
Like the two riders before him, the third rider has a special purpose, as noted by the pair of balances in his hand (scales). He will deliver famine upon the land, a greater famine than has ever occurred, for it will affect the entire planet. This famine will bring excess to a screeching halt as it will take the entirety of one’s daily wage to purchase enough food to eat. Only the oil and wine are not hurt by this famine.
 
Revelation 6:5-6
 
“And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny [Famine]; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.” (emphasis mine) [author’s comment]
 
Perhaps the best explanation for the exclusion of oil and wine comes by way of examining those who will be able to purchase these two items during this great famine. As noted, the average citizen will be greatly affected by this famine, and they will only be able to scrape enough resources together to provide daily sustenance. Therefore, oil and wine, which are generally seen as luxuries, will only be purchased by the rich. This implies the rich will have little trouble during this famine. Therefore, God is perhaps providing an environment that causes many of the poor to cry out to Him for salvation while further hardening the hearts of those who are rich in this world.
 
Matthew 19:23
 
“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.”
 
This does not imply that the rich will not go unscathed, for Scripture shows they will experience judgment in the coming sixth seal (Rev 6:12-17). Notice that during this seal judgment, even the rich cry out from their hiding places for the rocks and mountains to fall upon them to hide them from the wrath of the Lamb (Rev 6:15-16). By this point, all of the earthbound will know that God is bringing upon them the long-awaited judgment of the wicked. With this in mind, it is important to note that in Revelation chapter eleven, God makes sure that those who destroy the earth are forewarned that He will destroy them for their destroying the earth:
 
Revelation 11:18
 
“And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.” (emphasis mine)
 
Destroying the Earth’s Abundant Food Supply to Make Way for the Third Rider
 
As mentioned before, the stage is being set for each rider before they arrive so they will have maximum effect in a very short period of time. After all, the entirety of the Tribulation is just seven short years, and the devil knows this (Rev 12:12). Therefore, he has his demonic minions and human familiars working overtime to prep the battlefield, if you will.
 
In this regard, the preparation for the third rider is clearly underway, as can be seen in the perfectly orchestrated destruction of the greatest food-producing geographical areas on the planet. Ukraine comes to mind, along with California. Each of these areas is considered the breadbasket of their respective regions, and they are both being systematically destroyed by different events – Ukraine by war and California by weather. In fact, northern California has often been referred to as the breadbasket of the world.[8] Unfortunately, these great producers of sustenance will seemingly be unable to maintain even a semblance of their former output. Ironically, at the same time, many food production facilities across the United States have mysteriously exploded or burned to the ground during the last year.
 
Are we beginning to see a pattern here?
 
I will inject a personal story here. My wife and I have planted over thirty fruit-producing trees and/or bushes on our property. We did this with the understanding that we may never see them grow to maturity since we believe the rapture is going to occur very soon. However, we believe our work has not been in vain, as these trees and bushes may be the only food source for someone during the Tribulation. Incredibly, though, these trees and bushes are young; this past year, many of them bloomed out in preparation for pollination. We were so excited because this would have been our first year with a decent amount of fruit. Seemingly, right on cue, a great hail storm came through our area and wiped out every bloom. We ended up with no fruit whatsoever. Coincidence?
 
It is my personal belief that many are engaged in programs and processes that are intended to save the planet, which is something that God never instructed man to do. It is easy to see that they are doing a horrible job of it simply because they are not God. In fact, one could argue that the very measures taken are actually destroying the delicate systems God put in place. Rather than veer off of topic with speculation, suffice it to say that much is being done in the name of ‘saving the planet’ that is counterintuitive, and the results will be truly devastating.
 
Back to the main topic…
 
The results of the first, second, and now third riders will be truly devastating. Many will lose their lives, and nothing will ever be the same again. Think about the third rider for a moment… his ride will bring untold horror as the already struggling masses will be engulfed by THE great famine, which will undoubtedly claim multiplied millions of lives. However, death and mayhem are not the only purposes of these riders. Instead, they have at least two additional functions. First, they are designed to cause men to repent and turn to God. Second, they serve as great checkpoints in the Tribulation. Checkpoints that can cause great joy if understood for what they are. You may be saying, come again?
 
God’s Great Mercy in Judgment
 
God is truly merciful, and it is demonstrated throughout Scripture that God desires that men, even the aforementioned rich, repent and therefore have eternal life with Him. This is seen in one of the often-quoted, great comforting scriptures from the writings of Peter:
 
2 Peter 3:9
 
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” [God desires that any and all, small and great, repent.] (emphasis mine) [author’s comment]
 
With this in mind, it is clear that God is using the judgments of the Day of the Lord to stir men to repentance. Here are some of the passages that confirm that God is still looking for men to repent all the way up to and during the Tribulation:
 
Revelation 2:21
 
“Even though I have given her time to repent of her immorality, she is unwilling.” (emphasis mine)
 
Revelation 9:21
 
“Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.” (emphasis mine)
 
Revelation 16:9
 
“And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.” (emphasis mine)
 
Revelation 16:11
 
“And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.” (emphasis mine)
 
Revelation 16:21
 
“And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God [no repentance] because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.” (emphasis mine) [author’s comment]
 
In His mercy, God often allows discomfort with the intent that said discomfort causes the sufferer to turn to Him for aid like the pig pen did for the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32). Momentary discomfort brought the wayward son to his senses, and his end was far better than he expected. I believe God wants all who are separated from Him to know that He is longingly watching for them to return to Him, to the place where they belong.
 
Along with the most important purpose of causing one to desire to repent, these horsemen surely serve as checkpoints for those who come to know Christ during the initial days of the Tribulation. Checkpoints that show the new believers exactly where they are in a timeline that is now laid out before them as though it was set in stone; because God, in His infinite wisdom, laid out a perfect roadmap with which to navigate through the Tribulation in the writings of Daniel and John and the other key prophetic voices in the Bible. This roadmap, complete with checkpoints, will bring great comfort to those who miss the rapture.
 
Clearly, God desires that those who see these horsemen making their rides will recognize them for what they are and come to the realization that they are indeed in the Tribulation and that their peculiar friends and families that tried to warn them about the rapture were right.
 
We must not forget that the enemy and his minions will undoubtedly have a great explanation for the disappearance of the millions who suddenly vanish. Alien abduction is a likely solution, especially with the recent spike in UFO sightings. Allow me to say here that I believe these sightings are demonic in nature, and they are all part of the process of setting the stage for the coming antichrist. Indeed, we are in the midst of the greatest stage-setting period ever seen on Earth, and few understand it. This brings me to my last point.
 
Sound the Alarm
 
Those of us who have eyes to see are urgently warning all who will listen of the impending danger of the fast-approaching Tribulation. It is imperative that as you become aware of this danger, you immediately take up the call of the watchman and begin to sound the alarm to those in your own sphere of influence. You may be the only person who can or will warn this specific group. Be not afraid, for the Lord your God is with you. He will give you the boldness to preach the gospel while warning your friends and loved ones. Even though you may be persecuted for it.
 
Yes, we can see that persecution of the faithful is beginning to ramp up as the innocent are being slain by the wicked. Unfortunately, things will only grow worse as more of the populace falls for the false narrative of rebellion. Indeed, our very own children are being indoctrinated by the enemy in the very school systems that once taught children to do what is right and to shun what is wrong. Now they are taught to rebel against what is right and champion what is wrong. Remember, right and wrong can only be determined by the absolute truths contained in God’s Word.
 
I will say one more thing about the school systems. In fact, allow me to shout this last statement: Parents… it is time to remove your children from those schools that have become indoctrination camps.
 
Conclusion
 
Soon, like a freight train, the horsemen of the Apocalypse will ride. They will have no mercy as they do what they were created to do. They will not fail nor falter. They will do exactly what God has purposed them to do. The ‘Third Horseman of the Apocalypse’ will bring unimaginable famine to an Earth that has never been so depleted. Therefore, our best and only hope is, and has always been, Jesus. He is the one who will remove the faithful… before these riders are unleashed, by Jesus, by the way (Rev 5-8). Remember, in His great mercy, God will use the same wrath that brings judgment upon the wicked to awaken and call to repentance all who would be saved during the Tribulation.
 
With this in mind, preach the gospel and allow God to sort out the rest. You never know, someone you speak to before the rapture may come to know Jesus in the Tribulation period because of something you said or left behind for them to read.
 
A good place to end this particular discussion is by stating that we should all prepare something for those who do not make the rapture. Food and clothing, yes. But most importantly, information about Jesus, the only one who can save the lost. You might consider leaving behind a rapture kit, as seen on prophecywatchers.com.

Israel is in a very precarious situation. It will take the Lord’s intervention to protect His holy land. And that is the very reason why I am neither worried nor afraid. The land of Israel belongs to the Lord and He has promised that it will never be destroyed. So, no matter the plans that the ayatollahs or the mullahs or the terrorists or President Putin have for God’s tiny nation on the east coast of the Mediterranean, Israel will survive.
 
Please pray for the safety of the Israeli people and the Lord’s protection over the land. He is in control, and that is why I can sleep at night.
 
Iran’s Four-Pronged Proxy Attacks
 
First, let me encourage you to please watch my two Breaking News Updates from Saturday and Sunday. They contain information necessary to fully understand what I am about to tell you. Israel is facing the greatest threat in its history, because of the number, sophistication, and strength of the weapons that are currently levelled against it. The recent rocket attacks from Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza were simply feelers to gage the Israeli reaction. Sadly, that reaction was far weaker than it needed to be. Iran has established and armed its terrorist proxy militias not only in Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza, but also in Iraq and now, even Yemen. There are today 250,000 rockets and missiles pointed at Israel. That’s right, look at that number again. Put yourself in the position of having your enemies situated on your borders, armed with that kind of arsenal, and motivated to destroy you. If you do, you’ll understand the mood in Israel today. The thinking behind this plan of Iran’s Islamic regime is that the Iron Dome missile defense system will run out of ammunition after the first few hours of defending the country. After that, there is nothing to stop the tens of thousands of remaining missiles from devastating Israel. Then, once the missiles have rained down death, there are rumored to be plans for a massive ground assault. And, because it is the militias that are carrying out the attacks, Iran can sit back with its plausible deniability. “It wasn’t us. We’re just sitting here waiting for the Mahdi.” Just yesterday, the IDF’s Military Intelligence Directorate warned that war is closer to calm. Many in Israel are saying that a preemptive strike against Iran is becoming absolutely necessary. This truly is a perilous time for Israel, but I can only scratch the surface in this newsletter format. Again, I would ask you to please watch my updates to be fully informed.
 
Terror Attack in the Jordan Valley
 
It has been a violent Ramadan in Israel. Last Friday in the Jordan Valley, Palestinian terrorists fired on a vehicle containing Lucy Dee and two of her daughters, Maya (20) and Rina (15). Their car swerved and crashed. The two gunmen then proceeded to go up to the car and shoot the three women execution-style. The girls were immediately killed, while the mother held on for a few days before succumbing to her wounds. The terrorists are still at large.
 
Terror Attack in Tel Aviv
 
The same day as the horrific attack in the Jordan Valley, a terrorist purposely drove a car onto the promenade in Tel Aviv. A 36-year-old Italian tourist was killed, and seven other people were injured. The Arab Israeli assailant was killed on the scene by police.
 
Quds Day is Coming
 
In Farsi and Arabic, Jerusalem is known as “The Holy” or al-Quds. When the US introduced General Qasem Soleimani to the power of a Hellfire missile, the general was the head of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). It likely won’t surprise you that the mission of the Quds Force is not to protect Israeli sovereignty over the Holy City. Every Ramadan, the last Friday of the month of fasting is known as Quds Day. It was so declared in 1979 by Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini as an annual day of solidarity against the “usurper Israel”. This year, Quds Day falls on April 21. It is that day that has those involved in the defense of Israel particularly concerned this year. It is certainly a day for the church to be praying for the peace and safety of Israel.
 
US Sends Nuclear Submarine into the Mediterranean
 
An American nuclear submarine passed through the Suez canal on April 7 to deploy in the Mediterranean. The USS Florida is capable of carrying 154 Tomahawk cruise missiles on board. Concerns over growing attacks against US troops has led to this movement. Recently, a US contractor was killed in Syria along with military personnel being injured. Monday saw a rocket being fired at a base in eastern Syria that houses US troops.
 
Macron Distances from US
 
All it took was a state visit to China and a little time spent with President Xi Jinping, and French President Emmanuel Macron was ready to separate himself from Taiwan and, more particularly, the US’s commitment to protecting the island nation’s independence. He urged other European nations to not get “caught up in crises that are not ours”, referring to the near-boiling tensions between Beijing and Taipei. White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby downplayed Macron’s words saying the administration is still “comfortable and confident in the terrific bilateral relationship we have with France.”
 
China Surrounds Taiwan
 
Nine Chinese warships surrounded Taiwan while 71 fighters crossed the median line between the two nations as Beijing conducted three days of live fire drills designed to intimidate the Taipei government. The White House issued a statement saying they felt confident in America’s ability to protect its national security interests, by which it means the freedom of the Taiwanese people. Under this administration, I’m guessing the citizens of Taiwan don’t share the same level of confidence.
 
Azerbaijan and Armenia Engage in Bloody Battle
 
Fighting between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the disputed territory of Nagorno-Karabakh flared again on Tuesday. A total of seven servicemen between the two sides were killed in the clash. Turkey and Israel have contributed to Azerbaijan gaining the upper hand in the conflict. But Armenia has drawn closer to Russia which has deployed peacekeepers in the area. Unfortunately, with Russia distracted by Ukraine, Armenia is seeing less support from Moscow leading to more conflicts with Azerbaijan.
 
North Korea Fires Missile as Palestinian Authority Makes Friends
 
North Korea has fired another ballistic missile toward the East Sea. Japan sent out an alert, concerned that it would fall near Hokkaido. Eventually, when it did land it was in water. Meanwhile, Palestinian Authority President Abu Mazen sent flowers and well wishes to Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un on the occasion of the 111th birthday of the country’s founder, Kim Il-sung. Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad likewise sent a congratulatory letter. Kim Jong-un, Abu Mazen, and Bashar al-Assad – that’s quite the trifecta.
 
A Deterioration of US Society
 
When the Roman Empire fell, it did so from within. The invading armies and the division of leadership were symptoms, not the cause. The roots of its implosion were the decadence and entitlement of its citizenry. We can see the same thing happening in the deterioration of America’s strength and culture. If you want to know why China is in the ascendence and the US is waning, look to the New York Times report that says that 6% of US teens and adults have cannabis use disorder. So many of my friends in the US tell me they can’t drive through their cities without being assaulted by the smell of marijuana coming from the cars around them. In addition, a Gallup survey reported that 7.2% of U.S. adults identify as LGBT. But when you break that down by age, you will find that within Gen Z (born 1997-2004) the number is 19.7%. These reports are just two evidences of the societal breakdown that is knocking the US from its place as the world’s number one superpower.

A new global currency just launched, but 99 percent of the global population has no idea what just happened. The “Universal Monetary Unit”, also known as “Unicoin”, is an “international central bank digital currency” that has been designed to work in conjunction with all existing national currencies. This should set off alarm bells for all of us, because the widespread adoption of a new “global currency” would be a giant step forward for the globalist agenda. The IMF did not create this new currency, but it was unveiled at a major IMF gathering earlier this week…
 
Today, at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Spring Meetings 2023, the Digital Currency Monetary Authority (DCMA) announced their official launch of an international central bank digital currency (CBDC) that strengthens the monetary sovereignty of participating central banks and complies with the recent crypto assets policy recommendations proposed by the IMF.
 
Universal Monetary Unit (UMU), symbolized as ANSI Character, Ü, is legally a money commodity, can transact in any legal tender settlement currency, and functions like a CBDC to enforce banking regulations and to protect the financial integrity of the international banking system.
 
As the press release quoted above indicates, this new “Universal Monetary Unit” was created by the Digital Currency Monetary Authority.
 
So who in the world is the Digital Currency Monetary Authority?
 
Honestly, I had no idea until I started doing research for this article.
 
The press release says that the organization consists of “sovereign states, central banks, commercial and retail banks, and other financial institutions”…
 
The DCMA is a world leader in the advocacy of digital currency and monetary policy innovations for governments and central banks. Membership within the DCMA consists of sovereign states, central banks, commercial and retail banks, and other financial institutions.
 
Basically, it sounds like a secretive cabal of international banks and national governments is conspiring to push this new currency down our throats.
 
We are being told that the “Universal Monetary Unit” is “‘Crypto 2.0”, and those that created it are hoping that it will be widely adopted by “all constituencies in a global economy”…
 
The DCMA introduces Universal Monetary Unit as Crypto 2.0 because it innovates a new wave of cryptographic technologies for realizing a digital currency public monetary system with a widespread adoption framework encompassing use cases for all constituencies in a global economy.
 
I don’t know about you, but this sounds super shady to me.
 
Of course the Digital Currency Monetary Authority is not the only one that has been working on a new digital currency.
 
The UK has also been working on one.
 
The same is true for the European Union.
 
And would it surprise anyone that the Biden administration is touting the potential benefits of a “digital form of the U.S. dollar”? The following comes from the official White House website…
 
A United States central bank digital currency (CBDC) would be a digital form of the U.S. dollar. While the U.S. has not yet decided whether it will pursue a CBDC, the U.S. has been closely examining the implications of, and options for, issuing a CBDC. If the U.S. pursued a CBDC, there could be many possible benefits, such as facilitating efficient and low-cost transactions, fostering greater access to the financial system, boosting economic growth, and supporting the continued centrality of the U.S. within the international financial system.
 
I don’t think that it is a coincidence that governments all over the western world are simultaneously developing CBDCs.
 
And the IMF has actually already put together an extensive handbook “to assist central banks and governments throughout the world in their CBDC rollouts”…
 
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is putting together a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) handbook to assist central banks and governments throughout the world in their CBDC rollouts.
 
Published publicly on April 10, the “IMF Approach to Central Bank Digital Currency Capacity Development” report outlines the IMF’s multi-year strategy for aiding CBDC rollouts, including the development of a living “CBDC Handbook” for monetary authorities to follow.
 
A lot of people out there will cheer when these digital currencies are introduced.
 
But it is imperative to understand that once everyone is using them, your financial privacy will be almost totally gone.
 
Authorities will be able to track virtually everything that you buy and sell, and I am sure that they won’t hesitate to use that information against you.
 
Needless to say, the potential for tyranny in such a system is off the charts.
 
Can you imagine a world in which you are restricted from buying meat for a while because you have already used your “carbon credits” for the month?
 
Your “financial privileges” could potentially be restricted at any time at the whim of a government bureaucrat, and if you are a big enough troublemaker you could be “deplatformed” from the system permanently.
 
Of course in order for such a system to have real teeth, cash and other forms of payment will need to be phased out, and that is precisely what is happening right now in Europe. The following comes from the official website of the European Parliament…
 
To restrict transactions in cash and crypto assets, MEPs want to cap payments that can be accepted by persons providing goods or services. They set limits up to €7000 for cash payments and €1000 for crypto-asset transfers, where the customer cannot be identified.
 
Ultimately, they will just keep lowering the limits until the use of cash is almost completely eliminated.
 
Everyone will be slowly but surely forced on to the new digital system, and it will be a system that they control with an iron fist.
 
And most people will willingly go along with it. These days, most people are just scraping by from month to month and one recent survey found that 70 percent of all Americans are “financially stressed” at this point…
 
Inflation, economic instability and a lack of savings have an increasing number of Americans feeling financially stressed.
 
Some 70% of Americans admit to being stressed about their personal finances these days and a majority — 52% — of U.S. adults said their financial stress has increased since before the Covid-19 pandemic began in March 2020, according to a new CNBC Your Money Financial Confidence Survey conducted in partnership with Momentive.
 
Most Americans simply do not care that these new digital currencies could open a door for great tyranny.
 
They just want to be able to pay the bills and take care of their families, and if our politicians tell them that this new system is good for the economy they will be all for it.
 
But those of us that are awake know that more globalism doesn’t lead anywhere good.
 
Concentrating even more power in the hands of the international elite is always a bad idea, and hopefully we can start to get more people to understand this.

Scripture: Genesis 7:12-22; Romans 5:8-11
 
Jesus said, “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man” (Matthew 24:37).
 
In reading Genesis 7:12-22, we see that God looked on the earth and saw that it was corrupt. And the earth was corrupted because all the people had corrupted themselves.
 
Genesis 6:5-8 tells us, “The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The LORD regretted that He had made human beings on the earth, and His heart was deeply troubled.” The LORD vowed He would wipe out all life from the earth He had made, all the humans as well as all the animals. But there was one human who had found favor in the eyes of the LORD … Noah.
 
So God told Noah of His plans. Genesis 7:13 – God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh is come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them. I’m going to destroy them along with the earth.”
 
Verse 7:4, the LORD God says, “Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for 40 days and 40 nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”
 
This revealing of His plans is one way the LORD God Almighty shows His great love for those who love Him. Amos 3:7 tells us, “Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing His plans to His servants the Prophets.”
 
All through the Old Testament as well as in every Book of the New Covenant, prophecy points to the last days of the world as we know it. Most of us have been over this ground many times before and know that one of the greatest signs of the last days being ushered in is the return of the Jews to their homeland. Israel is the fig tree Jesus pointed to in His Olivet Discourse, that when the world sees the tree blossom, we know the time is near.
 
The modern-day nation of Israel came into being on May 24, 1948, fulfilling the prophecy of Isaiah 66:8 – “Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet, no sooner is Zion in labour, than she gives birth to her children.”
 
Zionism began in earnest toward the end of the 19th century. But it took the world fighting two great wars to finally bring into being a nation for the Jews of the world to call their own – and on the very land of their birthright. God told us His plan through His prophets, and He brought about its fulfillment at the very moment He had planned it.
 
Much of the end-times prophecy in the Old Testament has to do with the nation of Israel. The End Times could not begin until Israel had been brought back into being. And it did happen in a day, just as the prophecies said it would.
 
As we revisit God’s plan to destroy the first world, we see that He relents from destroying all flesh. Indeed, His promise to Noah was that he, his sons, and all their wives would be saved, alongside two of every living creature.
 
Here’s an interesting little bit of the Bible for you: While we may have the notion that Noah had to go into all the world and round up two of every kind of animal, the Bible tells us God actually commanded the animals to come to Noah. You know how difficult it is to round up cattle, horses, or even cats. Once they get the sense you want them to do something, they tend to do the opposite, and it takes patience and a good deal of skill to get animals to do your bidding. And that’s domestic animals. Imagine how difficult it would be to wrangle the wild beasts!
 
But in Genesis 6:20, we learn that the LORD tells Noah that He, the LORD, will bring the animals to Noah. “Two of every kind of bird, of every creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive.” Noah had already invested 120 years in building the ark. With time of the essence, God Almighty took charge of getting the animals to the ark before the rain began.
 
The significance of this part of the story is that God never taxes us with more than we are capable of enduring or doing. Please keep this thought in mind as we go through the rest of this message.
 
So, when all things were in place, when the ark was built, when all the animals were safely in place in the ark, then and only then did the LORD God unleash the fury of His wrath in the form of the Great Universal Flood.
 
The waters of the flood covered the earth for 150 days, and then the ark came to rest on the earth once more, and eight human beings got off the vessel, faced with the task of starting over with practically nothing. Try to imagine the trust Noah must have had in order to come through such a tribulation and the faith the eight had to have to face the daunting future as the only people left on planet Earth.
 
Noah offered a sacrifice, and the LORD responded to it. God vowed to Noah that never again would He curse the ground because of humans, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from the time of childhood. Never again would God destroy all life by a flood. Genesis 9:12 – “And God said, ‘This is the sign of the covenant I am making between Me and you and every living creature with you — a covenant for all generations to come. I have set My rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.”
 
One of the most interesting signs of the end times is that this covenant, an unbreakable promise from God Almighty, has been co-opted by a godless society. Meanwhile, the LORD continues His part of the covenant — rainbows still appear in the sky after rainstorms. But as in the days of Noah, the wicked hearts of human beings, tempted and prodded by the evil one, have corrupted all they see as godly, including this beautiful covenant sign. As we have said before, the rainbow of God is basically seven colors with myriad shades blending from each color to the next. Seven being the number of God, this is not surprising. The number of evil man is six, according to various passages of the Bible. The co-opted rainbow of the godless consists of six solid colors. As everything else Satan attempts to usurp from God, it is so much less beautiful, so earth-bound. So not of God.
 
Wickedness appears to have returned to the earth, as bad as it was in the days of Noah. At the beginning of Chapter 6, starting with verse 4, we read, “The Nephilim were on the earth in those days – and also afterward – when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown. The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become …”
 
It is well established that the ‘sons of God’ in this context were none less than the angels who had fallen with Satan, and they were corrupting the human beings which God had made in His own likeness.
 
In today’s world, the Nephilim appear to be at it again. This time, they are corrupting God’s creation in several ways never seen before in our history. Transgenderism, transhumanism, and something called the singularity … the union of human flesh with sentient or conscious computers.
 
While the letters AI have a certain meaning among cattle and pig producers, they are also used to identify something called Artificial Intelligence. This past week, a news story spoke to the idea that a computer is now able to carry on a “real” conversation with a human being. In order for conversation to happen, there have to be two beings who have consciousness and self-awareness. A computer, with consciousness and self-awareness, is said to be ready now to join together with a human being – the singularity, according to scientists, has arrived.
 
It seems to me that this quote singularity unquote is nothing less than a demon in the machine.
 
Science is happily handing over to Satan the next generation of computers. Now, where have we heard that before? Demons united with humans? Hmm. As in the days of Noah ….
 
What I am about to say may seem off-track but is indeed relevant to this message which, remember, is titled “SAVED FROM GOD’S WRATH.”
 
On Friday, I attended the funeral of a most beloved colleague. This minister was one of God’s finest disciples. In the midst of great troubles of his own, he was always quick to help someone else. His kindness was legendary. But it was his amazing witness and testimony about Jesus Messiah that was truly amazing. He never stopped telling people about the Gospel, the Good News of redemption in the risen Christ.
 
Our minister friend looked so forward to the Rapture. He fought the good fight against illness for years, I think, in looking for the Blessed Hope. I could say, “Sadly, he missed seeing it,” but there is nothing sad about going home to Jesus. He is now in the arms of His Saviour but is still waiting for the Rapture because that’s when the dead in Christ will rise and receive their new bodies before any of us who may be left on earth when it happens. Talk about “Blessed Hope!”
 
I tell you that in order to take us to the meat of this message. Remember the paragraph from earlier that God never taxes us with more than we are capable of enduring?
 
As our friend was, many born-again Christians have been waiting with excitement for the Rapture, some for years now. And as we see all the signs increasing almost exponentially daily, it seems excitement is growing to a fever pitch among those of us who love and believe in Jesus Christ.
 
Many of us believe the Rapture is so close that it could come at any moment now. Still, from time to time, I need to be reminded that I am not going to be Raptured (whether alive or dead) for anything I have done for the LORD; rather, I will see Jesus because of what He has done for me.
 
Once in a while, especially while undergoing some kind of pain or illness, the thought will cross my mind, “Am I worthy to be counted in that number?” The answer is a definite and resounding “No, I am not!” But the war that has gone on for my soul has been won by my Saviour, and I rejoice in the knowledge that He saved me from my sins. Not only that, but being God, He also is saving me from His wrath that is coming on the wicked of this world, just as surely as the flood came on the wicked of Noah’s day. Proof?
 
Romans 5:9 “Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath, through Him!” In my Bible, there is an exclamation point at the end of that sentence. WE SHALL BE SAVED FROM GOD’S WRATH … the wrath that is coming on the whole world to try the inhabitants of the earth (Rev. 3:10).
 
My friends, that is really good news … the best that ever was!
 
As we prepare to celebrate the Resurrection of our Pascal Lamb, our Yeshua, Jesus, Lamb of God, we do well to reflect once again on what His death on the cross accomplished for all humankind.
 
Even though we are wicked at heart, the Blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God, covers our iniquity completely. God’s wrath ‘passes over’ us, just as the blood of the lamb on the door lintels of the Israelites in Egypt allowed God’s Angel of Death to pass over their houses the night before the Exodus. Apostle Paul calls it justification, a word that means ‘shown to be right or valid.’ Through justification, we are washed clean in the sight of our Holy God. Justification is not the same as justice. We have not received justice … for if we had received justice, we would all perish. “For all have sinned, and the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).
 
The shed blood of the innocent Lamb of God justifies our salvation in Christ and makes us fit for heaven. As the hymn lyric says, “Even the vilest of offenders their Jesus will see,” when they are justified by Jesus in the Holy Spirit and believe in the saving grace of the God Who made us in His own dear image.
 
To God be the glory, great things He hath done
So loved He the world, that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life, an atonement for sin
And opening the floodgates that all may go in.
 
Refrain:
 
Praise the LORD, praise the LORD, let the earth hear His voice,
Praise the LORD, praise the LORD, let the people rejoice.
O come to the Father through Jesus the Son
And give Him the glory, great things He hath done.
 
O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood --
To every believer, the promise of God.
The vilest offender who truly believes
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see!
 
If you haven’t yet given your heart to the Son of God, I beg, yes, beg you to pray that God will open the eyes of your heart to the following:
 
Admit you are a sinner – and turn away from that sin.
Believe Jesus is LORD of your life – that He gave His life for you.
Call upon the Name of Jesus – and ask for His forgiveness.
 
Get hold of a Bible and begin reading the Gospel of John, then Romans, then Hebrews. After that, go to Genesis and begin there and read through to Revelation. One more thing: REJOICE – YOU ARE NOW BEING SAVED BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB OF GOD.

In Kingsland, Georgia, about a mile from the Florida line, there is a quaint campground called Country Oaks that brought me back to my childhood. The lodge across from a scenic lake amidst the trees laden with Spanish moss was a tribute to Roy Rogers and Western history. Relics of America-past were parked on the porch—horse drawn farm implements—wagon, mower, plows. Several rocking chairs to sit and enjoy the view. Inside were many displays, including antique six guns and rifles, posters of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans—a slice of Americana that sadly is becoming a distant memory for many. We also were greeted by Flash, a miniature horse and three mules. But the story doesn’t end there.
 
There are many types of campers, or what the sophisticated call “recreational vehicles, or RVs.” There are big ones. There are small ones. There are medium-sized ones. It’s a spectrum. Some are as big as Greyhound busses. We pulled our Airstream travel van into our space after taking dinner at a local Bar-B-Q. Next to us was a really small Ford Transit van. Curious, it was. Unlike the other RVs that have electric hook ups and fancy awnings, this van had towels in the windows as shades and an orange extension cord running out of a crack in a window to the electric hook up. On the other side of the van was a makeshift “awning” tucked in a crevasse on the roof and held up by a pole. Another extension cord was connected to a coffee maker. Soon, hobbling out from around the backside of the van was a lady and her dog.
 
“Hi, I’m Nancy Winchester from Savannah and this is my dog Benjie,” she said. Benjie and our dog Charlie started getting acquainted by sniffing each other. In the next five minutes or so, we heard Nancy Winchester’s story. Her husband died a year ago from a stroke. She, too, had a stroke which rendered her left arm and leg limited. Nancy loved to ride motorcycles, but her Harley now sits because of the stroke. She said she didn’t want to give up on life and just sit around doing nothing. She bought a van she could afford and fixed it up herself so that she and Benjie can travel the country. She comes to Country Oaks from time to time on short trips, just to get away. She loves national and state parks, and has the bumper stickers to prove it. She’s traveled as far West as the Grand Canyon and plans more such trips.
 
Nancy Winchester from Savannah and her dog Benji have some things in common with the artifacts around the porch, with Flash, who in his mid-20s is very old for a horse, and the three mules, their usefulness on the farm long past. There has been toil, suffering, and replacement, but the vitality of Spirit and life remain. They are all part of what made this country great from the inventions for farming, to the horsepower that drew them, to the rugged individualism portrayed in the Westerns and the perseverance lived out by folks like Nancy Winchester from Savannah, who remains hopeful about her life ahead despite the difficulties. Romans 5:3-4 speaks how tribulation “produces perseverance, perseverance character, and character, hope.” Where there is life, there is hope. And there is much of this kind of life in America.

Why is it so hard sometimes to read the Bible? Why is it so difficult to pray? And why is it so tough to make it to church?
 
Because Satan will stop us. He doesn’t always do this with obvious, demonic things. He uses little distractions in our lives—even things that seem to make sense at the time.
 
For instance, when you’re getting ready for church, he says, “It’s a beautiful day. Are you sure you want to go and sit in some building? Enjoy the splendors of God’s creation! You can always go next week.”
 
Then next week comes, and there’s a little drizzle outside. But you just washed your car, and you don’t want to get it wet. So, you sit it out again. The following week you have a little sniffle and think, “I’d better not go to church.”
 
Or, let’s say you reach for your Bible. The devil says, “You don’t need to read that again, do you? Didn’t you just read it in church four weeks ago? Why do you need to read it again?”
 
When it comes to prayer, he says, “You don’t need to pray. You prayed before breakfast. That’s good.”
 
He will do everything he can to keep you away from going to church, reading the Bible, and praying. Why? Because at church you get recharged with God’s people. And when you read the Bible and pray, you strengthen yourself in the Lord.
 
The devil knows that if he can separate you from God, you will become weak and vulnerable. That way he can pick you off, like a lion going after the weakest and most vulnerable animal in the herd.
 
We need steely determination that says, “No, I’m going to church. I’m reading the Word of God. I’m spending time in prayer.” Let’s be strong in the Lord.
