(Know that I have been away from my computer for several days and unable to respond to e-mails.) On May 4, 2022, Pres. Biden reacted to the leaked U.S. Supreme Court ruling that will overturn Roe v. Wade. Then he said the MAGA crowd will go after many other privacy rights and freedoms. He asked, “What are the things that are going to be attacked? Because this MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that’s existed in American history—in recent American history.” Most readers know that MAGA is an acronym that stands for Make America Great Again. It was Donald Trump’s slogan during his presidential campaign. As I understand it, Pres. Biden was saying those that want to Make America Great Again adhere to the most extreme political view in recent American history. In case there is any doubt about this, readers should know that Biden has called for the establishment of world government several times during his long political career. Here are just 4 things he said along those lines:
How can anyone in their right mind believe that putting America first is “the most extreme political view in recent American history?” How can anyone in their right mind believe that those that want to put America first are more extreme than the KKK, Antifa, the abortionists that want to kill babies up to a month after birth, those that want to teach LGBTQ to children in kindergarten, those that want to force people to be vaccinated or lose their job, etc.? This is the man that wants to create a Disinformation Governance Board and have it headed up by a known purveyor of disinformation (a known liar). According to the Bible, the New World Order (world government) he supports will be run by Satan himself, and according to Jesus, there will “be great tribulation, such was not since the beginning of the world, to this time, no, nor ever shall be” (Matt. 24:21). The time will come when world leaders will long for the days of the MAGA crowd (Rev. 6:15-17). Mayorkas “to insist that you immediately cease taking action that appears designed exclusively for the purpose of suppressing the exercise of constitutional rights.”) Here are some related current events. One, concerning world government: on May 4, 2022, it was reported that a member of the EU parliament is warning that the World Health Organization (WHO) is working on amendments to existing treaties between the WHO and member nations that will allow the WHO to seize power over those nations during a pandemic. If a pandemic is declared, nations will have no power to resist a WHO assumption of power, and they want these amendments to go into effect before the end of 2024. Two, concerning pandemics: on May 3, 2022, global government activist Bill Gates said the world hasn’t seen the worst of Covid and that an “even more transmissive and even more fatal” variant is on the horizon. Three, concerning food shortages and ultimately famine: on May 6, 2022, Bloomberg reported that 37 million chickens and turkeys have been killed in the U.S. because of the current outbreak of bird flu, and more will probably be killed in the coming months. Four, concerning inflation and deceit: the White House said it is temporary, but on May 2, 2022, diesel fuel reached the highest average price on record, and on May 10, 2022, gasoline prices reached the highest average price on record. The higher fuel cost will cause the price of food (and everything else) to go up. On May 10, 2022, Biden finally admitted that inflation is a problem, but instead of admitting that he destroyed America’s energy independence or that the White House, Senate, and House are controlled by Democrats, and they control the economy, he blamed Putin’s war, Covid and ultra-MAGA Republicans. The situation will continue to get worse because Biden and the Democrats won’t face the real problem (they have turned their back on God and the truth). Build Back Better is about weakening America; globalism is about establishing a godless world government and religion; abortion and the gay agenda are contrary to Scripture; a Disinformation Governance Board is about denial of free speech, etc. Five, concerning the days of Noah (when the wickedness of man was great): on May 3, 2022, Pres. Biden was commenting on the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion on Roe v. Wade when he said, “the idea that we’re going to make a judgment that is going to say that no one can make the judgment to choose to abort a child based on a decision by the Supreme Court … goes way overboard.” Notice, Biden’s admission that people are choosing to abort (kill) a child. Many politicians are voting to fund the killing of children, some doctors are taking money to kill children, and many in the Church are okay with killing children (some even after birth). The home addresses of Supreme Court judges that voted to end Roe v. Wade have been published, and citizens are demonstrating outside the judges’ homes for the right to kill children. In Los Angeles, rioters that want to kill children threw rocks at the police and busted windows out of squad cars. (Another sign of the days of Noah was people ignoring Noah’s prophetic message that a Flood was coming and living like everything was okay; Matt. 24:38. That seems to be the attitude of many in the Church today.) Six, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog (an attack by Russia and her allies on Israel in the latter days and latter years): on May 6, 2022, it was reported that Russian experts believe “the distance between the two countries (Russia and Israel), which traditionally have belonged to different camps, will grow and the tensions will continue to mount, further destabilizing the Middle East.” Seven, concerning Russia and her Islamic allies attacking Israel in the latter days and latter years to take a prey: on May 9, 2022, oil and gas producer, Energean, announced the discovery of 8 billion cubic meters (cfm) of natural gas off the coast of Israel, and it is in an area that could contain 58 billion cfm of natural gas. Eight, concerning world government and population control: in late Apr. 2022, it was reported that the World Economic Forum (WEF) thinks there are too many people on the planet, and officials are now suggesting that older citizens consider euthanasia “for the children.” Nine, concerning pestilences during the Tribulation Period: on May 8, 2022, it was reported that official U.S. government Centers for Disease Control (CDC) data strongly suggests that fully vaccinated citizens are developing Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). The U.S. data is also confirmed by government data in Canada and the UK. AIDS can be caused by many things (the HIV virus, radiation, chemotherapy, leukemia, malnutrition, etc.). This writer believes weakened immune systems may be a contributing factor in the death of multitudes from famine and pestilence during the Tribulation Period. Ten, concerning peace in the Middle East: on May 9, 2022, it was reported that Saudi Arabia will put $2 billion into a fund that is investing in high-tech companies in Israel. Saudi Arabia has not joined the Abraham Accords and has no diplomatic relations with Israel, but her ties with Israel are growing, and Saudi Arabia has said under the right circumstances (an agreement over Jerusalem and the Temple Mount), Saudi Arabia would formalize relations with the Jewish state. The circumstances for a peace treaty are not right, but they are moving in the right direction. Eleven, concerning a cashless society: on May 1, 2022, it was reported that the Bank for International Settlements said up to 90% of the world’s national banks are studying the use of a digital currency, and more than half are developing them or already experimenting with their use. This is the bottom line: It appears to be just a matter of time until the world adopts a global digital currency that can be tracked. Finally, are you Rapture Ready? If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born-again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this. An ultra-Orthodox Jew gave a ride to two Palestinian men, one 19 and one 20. At the conclusion of the trip, one of the young men pulled out an ax and brutally killed the driver. The two men exited the car and began to attack with the ax and a knife those nearby, killing two more men and wounding others. They then fled, leading to a manhunt that lasted several days and employed up to 800 IDF soldiers. Eventually, the men were captured and arrested. This is so tragic. The slaughter of those three men has left 16 children without fathers. For more of my thoughts about this and an in-depth analysis of why these attacks have been taking place, please watch my Breaking News from last week. On Sunday, two more terror attacks were thwarted by Israeli security forces. One was at the Damascus gate in Jerusalem, where a Palestinian armed with a knife was attempting to stab Jewish people. During the struggle to disarm him, a policeman was wounded, and the perpetrator was immediately shot and killed. Then, Palestinian terrorists with guns tried to break into the Jewish settlement of Tekoa. A security guard shot one and the rest ran away. Yesterday, there was yet another attack near the Temple Mount when a Palestinian terrorist armed with a knife attempted to stab a police officer and was neutralized. In a sad story that is sure to garner much international attention, Palestinian-American journalist for Al Jazeera Shireen Abu Akleh was shot and killed while covering fighting in Jenin in the West Bank. The news agency and the Palestinians quickly pointed fingers at Israel. However, evidence proves to the contrary. Video that you’ll find on my Telegram channel clearly shows a Palestinian terrorist firing indiscriminately in the direction of Abu Akleh, then claiming he had hit a soldier. However, no IDF soldiers were struck. Only Abu Akleh and her producer were hit, who were both wearing helmets and protective vests so they could easily have been mistaken for troops. She died after being shot in the head, but the producer survived. Israel quickly offered to participate in a joint investigation, but the Palestinians refused. In fact, in an autopsy, the bullet was recovered. But the Palestinians are not letting the Israeli authorities examine it saying that they “cannot let the criminal investigate the crime.” The hypocrisy of much of the world is on full display when it comes to the killing of Shireen Abu Akleh. It is a tragedy, and I will not diminish that. However, I find it interesting that those who are so quick to fly into an outrage over this incident say absolutely nothing about three Jewish men being butchered with an ax and a knife just days earlier. Also, over 360 journalists have died in war zones in recent years, yet none of them has caused the world to demand an investigation the way this sad death has. It truly shows the power of the Palestinian propaganda machine and the willing complicity of the media. US President Joe Biden is contemplating a visit to East Jerusalem. While there, he would visit Makassed Hospital, yet he would do so without any official Israeli accompaniment. This would de facto acknowledge a divided Jerusalem and communicate that East Jerusalem is not under Israel’s sovereignty. Even former presidents Obama and Clinton didn’t go this far. The beginning of this week saw the launch of the largest military exercise in the country’s history. Dubbed “Chariots of Fire,” it will last four weeks, simulating a “month of war,” and will include all regular and reserve IDF forces from all commands. Israel launched four missiles destroying Iranian assets on the ground near the town of Hadar in northern Quneitra Governorate. The route on which the attack took place is well known for smuggling weapons, including UAV parts which are the weapons of the future. Later, a second strike took place, this time with tank fire. The US Congress is backing away from a weak Iran nuclear deal. A measure demanding that any new Iran deal also address Iran’s support for terrorism and requiring that the US not lift sanctions on the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps passed the senate with all Republican votes and 16 Democrats. The Europeans, too, are having difficulty gathering a coalition to create a new nuclear deal with Iran. The Iranians, however, are not that sad, because the longer it takes to reach a deal, the closer they are to having enough high-grade uranium for bomb-making. Russia has gone all in on phase two of their operation – to take control of all Donbas and of the entire Ukrainian coastline. As sad as it is to say, they are succeeding in most of their plans. This doesn’t just go for their military. The Russian ruble is back to the pre-war level, and Europe is still buying gas from the country. Confidence appears to be high in the Kremlin. Despite new evidence that the Russian bombing of a theater in Mariupol killed more than 600 people – including many civilians – Putin still had the audacity to parade his nuclear missiles through Red Square in Moscow. North Korea launched a submarine-based inter-continental ballistic missile on Saturday, leading the US to call for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council. This was the 15th missile test by North Korea this year. Meanwhile, Pakistan last month tested its medium-range ballistic missile, Shaheen-III, which can travel up to 2,750 kilometers. And the US successfully tested its DARPA Hypersonic Air-breathing Weapon Concept (HAWC) which can travel at 5x the speed of sound. Taiwan’s air force scrambled to warn away 18 Chinese aircraft that entered its airspace. Including amongst the Chinese planes were a dozen fighters and two bombers. These violations of airspace have become commonplace over the last two years. Why Are the Planet's Most Dangerous Regimes All Making Nuclear Threats? – Gordan Chang - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=5349 On May 1, on Russian TV, the media executive often called "Putin's mouthpiece" urged the Russian president to launch a Poseidon underwater drone with a "warhead of up to 100 megatons." The detonation, said Dmitry Kiselyov, would create a 1,640-foot tidal wave that would "plunge Britain to the depths of the ocean." The wave would reach halfway up England's tallest peak, Scafell Pike. "This tidal wave is also a carrier of extremely high doses of radiation," Kiselyov pointed out. "Surging over Britain, it will turn whatever is left of them into radioactive desert, unusable for anything. How do you like this prospect?" "A single launch, Boris, and there is no England anymore," said Kiselyov, addressing the British prime minister. The threat followed one on April 28 made by Aleksey Zhuravlyov, chairman of Russia's pro-Kremlin Rodina Party. On the "60 Minutes" program carried on Channel One, Russian TV, he urged Putin to nuke Britain with a Sarmat, the world's largest and heaviest missile. The program noted that a missile launched from Russia's Kaliningrad enclave would take 106 seconds to hit Berlin, 200 seconds to reach Paris, and 202 seconds to obliterate London. The NATO designation of the Sarmat is "Satan II." Putin himself has gotten in on the fun. Just before sending his forces across Ukraine's border, he warned of "consequences you have never encountered in your history." On February 27, he put his nuclear forces on high alert. On March 1, the Russian leader actually sortied his ballistic missile submarines and land-based mobile missile launchers in what was called a drill. On May 4, the Russian Defense Ministry announced "electronic launches" in Kaliningrad of its nuclear-capable Iskander mobile ballistic missile. Russia has a nuclear doctrine known as "escalate to deescalate" or, more accurately, "escalate to win," which contemplates threatening or using nuclear weapons early in a conventional conflict. China, which on February 4 issued a joint statement with Russia about their no-limits partnership, has this century been periodically making unprovoked threats to destroy the cities of states that have somehow offended it. In July of last year, for instance, the Chinese regime threatened to nuke Japan over its support for Taiwan. In September, China issued a similar threat against Australia because it had joined with the U.S. and U.K. in the AUKUS pact, an arrangement to maintain stability in the region. This March, China's Ministry of Defense promised the "worst consequences" for countries helping Taiwan defend itself. The threat appeared especially directed against Australia. This month, North Korea said that, in addition to using nuclear weapons to retaliate against an attack, it might launch nukes to attack others. It cannot be a good sign that Russia, China, and North Korea at the same time are threatening to launch the world's most destructive weaponry. Why are the planet's most dangerous regimes all making such threats? First, Putin showed the world these warnings in fact intimidate. As Hudson Institute senior fellow Peter Huessy told me in March, escalating to win assumes nuclear threats will "coerce an enemy to stand down and not fight." Because the Western democracies have largely stood down and are clearly not fighting in Ukraine, Beijing and Pyongyang want similar successes. Second, Putin and Chinese ruler Xi Jinping could make such threats because they do not respect nations perceived as enemies. "The bungled withdrawal from Afghanistan and the unwillingness to effectively support Ukraine since our 1994 guarantee and especially over the past year have led nuclear-armed enemies to ratchet up threats to the U.S. and its allies," Huessy, also president of GeoStrategic Analysis, said to Gatestone at the beginning of this month. "They sense a growing American weakness." "Like Vladimir Putin, the Communist Party of China has lost its fear of American power," Richard Fisher of the Virginia-based International Assessment and Strategy Center said to me shortly after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. "China's nuclear threats expose the Party's arrogance in the face of perceived American weakness, expose the risk of the lack of a U.S. regional nuclear deterrent, and expose the inadequacy of U.S. leadership." Third, internal considerations may make such threats easy to make. Many say the most dangerous moment since World War II was the Cuban Missile Crisis of October 1962. Perhaps even more perilous was the Checkpoint Charlie standoff in Berlin the preceding October. Yet both Kennedy and Khrushchev knew there must never be a nuclear exchange. The issue today is whether Putin and Xi know that as well. Maybe they do not. These threats may reveal that the leaders of these regimes share a last-days-in-the-bunker mentality. Both Russia and China, albeit in different ways, are ruled by regimes in distress, which means their leaders undoubtedly have low thresholds of risk. Whatever the reason for the threats, Putin and Xi have told everyone what they intend to do. Unfortunately, Western leaders are determined not to believe them. In response to Russian threats, President Joe Biden on February 28 said the American people should not worry about nuclear war. On the contrary, there is every reason to worry. In line with Western thinking, presidents and prime ministers have almost always ignored nuclear threats, hoping not to dignify them. Unfortunately, this posture has only emboldened the threat-makers to make more threats. The later the international community confronts belligerent Russians, Chinese, and North Koreans, the more dangerous the confrontations will be. The world, therefore, looks like it is fast approaching the worst moment in history. "A nuclear war cannot be won and must never be fought," Biden stated in June of last year. Maybe. Putin, who jointly issued those words with the American president, may think he can wage one and even win. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:5-6). The verses quoted above were part of Jesus’ response to the question, “What will be the sign of Thy coming and of the end of the world?” (Matthew 24:3). The Lord’s reply to the question is known to Bible scholars as the “Olivet Discourse” because (1) Jesus was standing ‘upon the Mount of Olives’ at the time, and (2) His answer, which is contained in the three Synoptic Gospels, fills the entire chapter. It is one of the most lengthy teaching discourses in the New Testament. The Olivet Discourse focuses its attention on events that take place DURING THE TRIBULATION but begins by describing the events that conspire together to bring it about. The period of wars and rumors of wars has been ongoing now since 1914, with the first truly global war in human history. It was followed by a second global war in 1939, whose conclusion brought about the ultimate ‘rumor of war’ between the West and the Soviet Empire. There are two different entities under discussion, ‘nations’ and ‘kingdoms.’ The word ‘nation’ is translated from the Greek word ‘ethnos’ and describes an ethnic state, like Israel or one of the ethnic states of the Arab world. Or North Korea. The word translated ‘kingdom’ ‘basileia’ means “royal power, kingship, dominion, rule,” and it describes a national entity bound together by economic/social interests rather than ethnic relationships. America would fit the Biblical understanding of a ‘kingdom’ in the sense Americans are not bound together by blood or ethnicity but rather by common social and economic benefits. The same could be applied to the member/states of the EU. Individually, some European countries might be ethnic in origin, but the Common Market exists for economic reasons. The collapse of the Soviet Union uncorked a new round of ethnic unrest and international conflict, but, as Jesus was careful to note, “the end is not yet.” Assessment Ethnic or economic strife has been responsible for all the wars of modern times. The world wars were wars aimed at conquest for economic reasons. Hitler’s Nazis sought both ethnic purity and “liebensraum” (living space) for Germany. Japan’s Imperial government set out to conquer Asia to ensure a steady supply of raw materials and to establish ethnic Japanese rule over Greater Asia. Skeptics might argue that wars, ethnic unrest, even famines, earthquakes and pestilences all have been part of the human condition since the Fall of Man at the Garden of Eden. (Or since the first amoeba turned into a person… for the skeptic who can’t bring himself to believe in God but finds no conflict of faith in a frog turning into a prince.) Note that Jesus said, “all these are the beginning of sorrows.” The word ‘sorrow’ first appears in Scripture in Genesis 3:16 when God tells Eve, “I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children.” “Sorrow” is translated from the Hebrew “itstsabown” and refers to labor pains. The Greek word ‘odin’ translated as ‘sorrows’ in Matthew 24:8 also refers to labor pains. Every parent who has ever lived could instantly grasp the meaning of this metaphor — that is why Jesus chose it. As the birth of a child approaches, the mother begins to experience labor pains, which, having once begun, continue to increase in both frequency and intensity as the moment of birth approaches. Prospective parents in Jesus’ day did exactly what I did with each of my kids — timed the interval between the contractions. It was a carefully chosen metaphor designed to resonate with all people, of all cultures, in all generations. But, to the generation to whom those signs were addressed, the meaning would be unmistakable. When one compares the accuracy of the Bible’s account of the unknowable future to the ever-changing scientific ‘explanations’ for the distant past, doubts melt away. The skeptic has multiple explanations for static events that have already happened. The Bible gives a single explanation for a fluid, changeable series of events predicted to happen thousands of years in the future — the events that define our present day. Which is more convincing? Bible prophecy proves Jesus was the Son of God, regardless of the latest scientific, archeological or historical discovery. No matter what else might be offered as ‘evidence’ to the contrary, there is no other explanation for Bible prophecy. It is our generation’s unique miracle. It proves that He remains in charge of the affairs of men. Scripture records His Promise in all three Gospel accounts, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31, Luke 21:33). “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts” (2 Peter 1:19). Bible prophecy is proof positive that God remains on the Throne, that His Word will NOT return to Him void, and that all the chaos and terror of the world notwithstanding, all continues to go according to His plan. Given the unbeliever’s explanation of uncontrolled chaos, Bible prophecy isn’t all that depressing after all. What WOULD be depressing would be to be among the lost, not knowing what this world is coming to, and believing the world is in a state of uncontrolled chaos. For the believer, Bible prophecy can be pretty encouraging, which is what the Lord intended for the last days’ Church all along: “But these things have I told you, that WHEN THE TIME SHALL COME, ye may remember that I told you of them” (John 16:4). Humans have suffered these things since God removed Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden. But some points in time are more difficult than others. Most of the world is now living through an especially tough period. Long ago, God told us how to flourish in dark times. His answer to our dilemma stands as a brilliant point of light—especially right now. Recently, I wrote about the rising threat of nuclear war. Unable to fix the problem, most people push that concern to the backs of their minds. But even from the background, atomic fears loom over the world’s thinking, and cast a deep shadow across the planet. In the last few weeks, supply chain issues have gone from an inconvenience to a potential catastrophe on several fronts. Young families wonder if they will be able to get the baby formula they need, or if they can afford to buy the fuel necessary to get to work. Renters are wondering how many rate hikes before they are left homeless. Older homeowners worry that rising tax assessments portend a time when their property taxes will evict them. For the first time in a generation, Americans feel the dread of hyperinflation. They wonder how long the current rise will last and how high it will go. The city of Midland, Texas has been experiencing a 10% inflation rate for the last six months. But that’s good compared to the country of Turkey where the inflation rate is 70%, or to Argentina where it’s 55%. Inflation frightens people because most can’t do anything about it. It makes them feel vulnerable. In 2018, Venezuela’s inflation rate exceeded 100,000%. At that level, forget about retirement funds. The money becomes nothing. Such thoughts often lead to despair. Then there is Covid-19. The plague appears to have passed its peak. Yet for millions around the world, Covid lingers in the form of long-haul symptoms. Even medical experts don’t always take such complaints as seriously as they should. While symptoms vary, almost all long-haulers experience great fatigue. Imagine suffering from something you know is real, but your family and even your doctors do not understand. More despair. And human despair is the devil’s playground. When I released Satan is Alive and Well on Planet Earth back in 1972, many Christians had forgotten that Satan even exists. Others saw him as a cartoon character with horns and a pitchfork. But the devil is real. He’s a person, and he is not alone. He and his hordes are the enemies of God and humanity. Like all smart thieves and terrorists, they enter at points of weakness. Their main weapons are fear and despair. You might think scripture would emphasize such a spectacular villain. But while the Bible tells us what we need to know about the devil, he is not the main topic. We are in a spiritual war best fought on God’s turf. That means an emphasis—not on darkness—but on love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Those are the gifts of the Spirit. If you are in Christ, they are His gifts to you — gifts that Satan cannot steal. Ask Him for them and choose to receive them. My prayer for you in this hour is the same as Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:18-19 (NASB). I just wasn’t paying attention. Worse yet, I did it right in front of a police officer. Immediately, I saw the flashing lights in my rearview mirror, so I pulled over, rolled down my window, and put my hands on the steering wheel. When the officer walked up and asked for my driver’s license and insurance, I simply said, “Officer, I’m really sorry. I was wrong. I wasn’t paying attention. It’s my fault.” I was fully prepared to get a ticket, because I deserved it. But then the officer said, “Listen, I’m going to let you off with a warning, because most people don’t admit it when they’re wrong. And since you did, I’m going to let you go with a warning.” We don’t want to admit to God that we’re wrong. We don’t want to admit to God that we’ve sinned and broken His commandments, but that’s what we need to do. Who among us has not broken one of the Ten Commandments? Have you ever had another god before Him? Have you ever taken the Lord’s name in vain? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever lied? Every one of us has broken God’s commandments. Yet God didn’t give them to us to make us holy. He gave them to us to show how unholy we are and to open our eyes and shut our mouths. The Bible says, “For the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws” (James 2:10 NLT).
